fortunately i am not like many fans who have incredibly bad preseason amnesia every year and forget that once the real ball is in play everything that happened in preseason games except injuries and the bottom ten of the roster is meaningless ten wins

the only way jackson has any chance at stealing the starting job is if fitz completely poops the bed, as in last half fitz last year could happen but i doubt it. im not sure he can return to first half fitz, but he should be able to keep the td numbers above pick numbers and around 60% completions, which would keep jackson on the bench

i didnt think replacement refs would be all that bad but boy was i wrong if an offensive lineman farts while in his stance its a false fart ... err start. if its third/fourth and one just flip a coin because the refs will just spot the ball anywhere within a three yard radius of where the player actually went down with it. defensive players will be called for clipping and a guy that lines up in the same spot twenty times will get called for encroachment on two of them a pox on the league if they let this drag on much longer

jets d is gonna do exactly what they did the last two times - play very physical with the receivers to disrupt our pick-and-roll offense and force fitz to try to go over the top needless to say, that was extremely effective for them and it was copied by every other defense that last half season. chan appeared to not have an answer for it, but that could also be due to all the injuries they were dealing with one way or another the bills need to show they can defeat that kind of defense at some point or the result will be the same
