wow the buffalo news had no idea this was coming dysfunction! dysfunction i say!!

i like your idea bc it gives the bills an extra high pick what i dont like is the enormous risk of putting tony romo on the field. seems like he has a collarbone with the rigidity of a vanilla wafer. then its the cardale show and probably all hell breaks loose id rather keep tyrod and just draft a qb somewhere in the first few rounds and try to get long term lucky instead of waiting for tony mcbrokenbone to go down

Bills Hire Sean McDermott as New Head Coach
Meathead replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah its sad. back when larry felser was burning up with quality columns the bflo news was a fantastic sports media source. the whole paper back then was a terrific quality resource. i lived in wdc and used to have that paper delivered just to read their take on everything those days are gone forever. papers can hardly survive anymore, and unless they are the ny times or the wdc post they have to do it by being as salacious as possible to get ppl to land on their site and generate ad revenue and thats not even including the general move to national enquirer style 'news' that our entire media has devolved to. at least half the stuff that was said during our presidential election was hyper spinning at best, bald faced lying at worst electronic media has forever changed how we produce and consume news. i hope someday we can get back to some level of journalistic integrity, but its going to be difficult with all the emphasis on generating clicks above all else -
Dennis Thurman Interviewing for Washington's DC Job
Meathead replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i realize this will not be popular, but perhaps they are getting interviews bc they are valued commodities among the professionals that know your statistical rankings dont necessarily equate to your skill at coaching? i also realize you will ignore this, but rob ryan has indeed been part of terrific turnarounds of a previously poorly performing defense. he also was forced to run a defense he didnt like with very subpar talent in nawlins. and they had some excruciatingly frustrating strings of injuries here in buffalo flame away, but i believe its entirely possible that the people that actually get paid for making these decisions might know something more than fans that are as emotional and lacking in rationality as a preteen girl. just sayin -
Bills Hire Sean McDermott as New Head Coach
Meathead replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that would be so freakin awesome to be the first nfl team with a female head coach obviously shes nowhere near ready, and even if she was it would be a cold day in hell before that old boys network ever let a chick be hc but it would be freakin awesome how bad is it that i dont even want to listen to this anymore bc vic carucci is in it? hes been such a total choad over this whole bills dysfunction thing that he has zero credibility left to me. its super annoying listening to these jerkoffs create all kinds of fiction just to sell clicks i used to like vic and now i have no interest anymore in hearing what he has to say -
Rapsheet: Cowboys priority is trade Romo. Not to Broncos
Meathead replied to dezertbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
romo has been an excellent qb the last half decade plus. if the bills dont want to do a tear down and could get romo for a fourth round pick i suppose i would give that consideration but what happens when a lineman unleases a particularly powerful fart and breaks tonys collarbone again? you cant seriously expect cardale in a whole new system to be able to take them to the playoffs. if they were serious about trying for the playoffs they would have to add somebody else to be the backup. now youre back to tying up an extra roster spot on cardale in the hopes he develops seems really shakey to me. id rather keep tyrod and try to make that work. you would expect him to be much more available to play than romo, you could risk not adding a veteran backup, and you wouldnt have to give up any picks -
Schopp: Imagining the Bills as open
Meathead replied to OhDozeBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i do agree that the season ending drama could have been handled a whole lot better by the bills, so some of the valid criticisms are warrented but the blfo news has brought a lot of the bad blood upon themselves. i understand that manufactured scandal sells a whole lot better than reality, but there is a price to pay when your target has the ability to determin whether or not they talk to you -

to the media? its well earned ive never seen anything more ridiculous than the bflo news reporting on the bills firing rex ryan well except for the national coverage on our recent presidential election hahahahhahahhahahahhaaaahhaha oh oh oh hahahhahhahahahhahahhahaaaaaaa you reeally think the relationship with the media could ever be anything but contentiousness in this era of 'lying for clicks' in our sham of a media? holy naïveté batman -
we can only hope its kelly holcomb to save the franchise one more time you must be young cuz let me tell you from brutal experience, if shes a pita now shes going to be a raging crazy ass pita from hell later in all seriousness, get out now while you can still save one of your testicles ... fyi - i HATE that this forum fuses posts together if you put them back to back. absolutely hate it. totally ruins the timing especially with humor, like it did here cant figure out what value that possibly brings

Schopp: Imagining the Bills as open
Meathead replied to OhDozeBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
somebody in the comments said EXACTLY what i feel about this whole 'bills are dysfunctional' crap: "This is ridiculous. Why does everyone act like the Bills are operating in a secretive fashion? The owner is almost as open and honest as you have imagined! The only difference is his answers aren't what you want to hear. I mean, what have they not answered honestly?! Isn't it possible that they are genuinely uncertain of what the best course of action would be, regarding Taylor? And isn't it possible that they genuinely would like to hear the opinion of the coaches that will be working with him, before making up their minds and stubbornly forcing the coaches to work with or without him, regardless of their opinion on him? And furthermore, isn't taking their input into account before making a final decision actually a perfectly fine way of handling such a difficult situation? Why should they pretend to be 100%, absolutely certain that Taylor is, or is not, the guy? That's all this article is really getting at, because the rest of the questions have literally already been answered honestly in the past. Ownership has said, on the record, numerous times, that their goal is not to simply make the Playoffs, but to win a championship. They have literally gone so far as to say that the pursuit of a championship is all they care about, and have openly admitted that any season they do not achieve that goal is a failure. He has shared his thoughts of McDermott, and he has addressed the stadium question on more than one occasion! I really don't understand the perception here that they are dodging questions, or operating in an overly-secretive manner." the pegulas have stopped talking to the media bc the media is full of horseshit. i would do the same thing except with a few 'why dont you guys go f*** yourselves' -
