idk why anybody believes anything that comes out in our media now - especially our sports media im expecting tyrod to be back. its been said many times but ppl seem to ignore it, that his existing contract would pay him as the 20th highest paid starter in the league. and thats not even counting the rookie deals that a bunch of the bright young new qb stars are getting paid. those figures are only going to keep going up and since his salary would remain static for five years he would become more and more of a value tyrod is flawed but hes certainly good enough to be paid 20th in the league. their best bet is to retain him and start drafting qbs every season. unfortunately they would have to carry three qbs until they figure out what they have in cardale, but unless they really are going to intentionally tank (unlikely) then they have little choice

like i said, just spending time elsewhere. ive been lurking all this time, i really like the convos here and especially the sense of humor you guys have ive moved on from the other places so i should be here more often now excellent this is what i said before terry gave that last short interview: if you filter out all the cloak and dagger bullcrap it doesnt seem all that hard to figure out what really happened the pegulas came in and immediately had to hire a head coach. they interviewed a bunch of candidates and when they got to rex the pegulas became infatuated. against the advice of whaley they decided to go with kim's 'gut feel' two years later they realize their mistake and set to correct it. whaley cant say much bc hes in a no win situation - if he says he didnt want rex he makes his bosses look bad, and if he says it was his call then hes setting him and his bosses up to be called liars if/when the truth comes out. so he basically just tries to keep his head down, reveal minimal details, and hope to get through it without worsening an already ticklish situation. hence his totally sheepish look through this whole thing having made the mistake themselves, the pegulas tell whaley they will take care of rex and they dont want doug falling on his sword for them. this is why doug isnt involved in the discussions with rex recently and since he doesnt know exactly whats going on he doesnt want to speculate or risk mucking things up worse. they plan to wait until after the season but rex gets pissed after they overrule him on starting tyrod, so rex asks to speak privately to terry to ask am i or am i not the coach? terry says hes grown uncomfortable with the direction the team is heading and rex says well you might as well do it now, so he does no dysfunction, no fued between the hc and gm, no russ brandon manipulating an altzheimers suffering terry. just a new owner making a mistake and them trying to fix the natural fallout that results

i wish you guys had the 'thanks' or 'kudos' or whatever feature. most of the posts in here would get them from me what is it going to take for most of us to realize we have entered the golden age of clicks in our media? truth is irrelevant, its salaciousness that completely rules the day. we have it all over our politics now, doesnt matter how bald faced the lie is, just say it and half the ppl will believe it to their deaths its sickening. at least with something like sports it doesnt matter. but its certainly not limited to that. ppl are literally dying on a routine basis bc our media enterprizes cant even bother to try to tell the truth on anything

intents and purposes i remember talking to coy wire once and he was saying that the nfl requires all new players to go through a seminar on managing money. he said most of the guys paid absolutely no attention, joking around, playing with their cell phones, and sleeping on their desk. no surprise, he said you can pretty much tell which ones are gonna be broke and which ones arent right there. he mentioned he tried to say something to some of them at first but they looked at him like he was insane. sad

its not the religion in people thats the problem, its the people in religion iow, the core of the religions themselves is fine and generally good. and when they adhere to the essential elements they usually improve both as individuals and the society around them unfortunately, petty human weakness often causes a severe degredation in how the original precipts are interpreted and put into everyday action, thats usually where it goes terribly wrong

you watch your language im just saying welkers pretty good but hes not the dominating stud hes portrayed to be. best of the best qbs make everybody look like all-pros. a player like welker on any other team except maybe the saints would probably get two-thirds of their production. thats just the way it is but most ppl overlook that, even those in the bidness sometimes same thing with the coaching. i hate brady but hes crazy good at this stupid game. so much so that a sub-.500 career hc without him is portrayed as some kind of great genius. wes is as studly as belicheater is genius, which means neither of them are and thats the point

a) spiller was an absolutely brilliant pick. not to say i told you so but i was thrilled when they ran up to the podium and picked him. idc that they had freddie and thugnificent, spiller was potentially the best player in the entire draft, he was an absolute steal at nine, and thus it was the right move to make. throw in that thugnificent was (and still is) one strike away from a season long ban only makes it more brilliant. if the coaches really think they can get another one like that at eight then they gotta pull the trigger. and btw, i did tell you so 3) all that said, not sure what they would do with him since they have already stated they want stevie in the slot. if they take austin for that role then what do they do with stevie? and if they use that pick for him, how are they gonna get that big body wr for the outside that they desperately need? for this reason among others i frankly doubt they really plan to pick austin at eight and would only pick him high if they can trade down to get another pick red) wes welker is overrated. you could put me in the slot with my cane and id catch eighty balls for twelve hundred from marcia the cheating hofer. wes is only slightly better than that
