At the end of the day....this is our team
Dr. Who replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like SouthNYfan, I think you overstate your case. I will grant that superior coaching ought to give one an edge where the CBA and salary cap tend to push teams towards a middling level of talent. Qb and edge rusher probably make the most impact, but there are likely six to eight positions that have higher value than others. I still believe it's possible to acquire and keep top ten performers at positions of greatest importance. The teams with the better overall collection of talent are more likely to perform well even when coaching is average. Unless one is matched against a coaching staff of really superlative ability, I think talent is a more significant factor than you allow. All that said, it's a very interesting argument and has some plausibility. -
Weaker than Fitzy's arm is a recipe for a lot of sad sighs.

There could actually be more than one franchise qb in the draft. Perhaps I should go register on a Jets' message board as DarnoldWillBust and then go antagonize the fan base. OTOH, I'm not twelve years old, petty, or gratuitously nasty, so I guess not.

[Vague Title] With Ray-Ray sidelined...
Dr. Who replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, perhaps I am not up-to-date on this. I thought I saw a tweet from a journalist or some such that the injury to Ray-Ray might not be that serious. -
Looks like AJM might play the whole game?
Dr. Who replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You don't draft Josh Allen if you don't intend to eventually throw the ball a lot. I think McDermott will get there, but I believe you are right about his basic inclinations. -
O Line Troubles Start With It's Coach !!
Dr. Who replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nah, I want to still hate Castillo, stop with this stuff?. I do think talent is the main issue, though. -
If peterman starts what’s the point of keeping AJ

O Line Troubles Start With It's Coach !!
Dr. Who replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Most likely the answer is we need both much more talent and a much better o-line coach. -
Hey, Tyrod, hope you're enjoying Cleveland.

Ridiculous penalty just called in Vikings game
Dr. Who replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If whoever oversees officiating doesn't clarify to the refs that this is a clean sack, the game will indeed be unwatchable. -
Arguably Henry Fonda's best role playing against type. It's a great movie, regardless of genre.

Please name Josh Allen the starter

Why are you picking on a fella with no eyes? It's amazing that he can participate on an internet message board. -
It May Be Time To Think Big With The Bills
Dr. Who replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The most unbreakable prison is the one you build with your own soul. -
You should never, ever takes the least opportunity to be at all happy or guardedly optimistic because you might be disappointed or proven wrong. Only after a Buffalo Bills SB victory is it metaphysically possible to consider being optimistic, but things will only get worse after that and besides, we are all mortal, so how good could it be? To some up, don't be hopeful and don't be happy no matter what.

Astro notes from final day @ SJF
Dr. Who replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's a writer who wants to share the ambiance as much as "information." It's more literary, I suppose. To each his own. I don't want to read that sort of thing exclusively, but I enjoy Astro's style. -
Folks talk about Darnold's creativity when the pocket breaks down. Allen appears to have creativity that is only available to someone gifted with exceptional arm talent. He can simply imagine scenarios ordinary qbs can't even think about. Intelligence, creativity, character, and coachability -- there's a good chance he is going to be very good.

Random observations: TE position is really up in the air. Are Mike Love or Ike Boettger anywhere close to blue? Still have Ray-Ray in the red? I think if he continues to exhibit chemistry with Allen, they will find a way to keep him.

National Josh Allen buzz after 1 preseason half
Dr. Who replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both of you fellas are good posters. You're nitpicking and getting all upset about not much, imo. In general, I agree with John C that Allen's game could very well be exceptional and still be unlikely to match Brees and Brady for accuracy. I agree with Shaw one cannot make an apodictic statement to that effect. Unlikely is not impossible. Now please stop arguing. -
Josh Rosen vs Josh Allen: Game 1 Comparison
Dr. Who replied to BuffaloButt's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Way too early for this, though if Rosen had played lights out, Scorp and a few others would be relentlessly crowing, so thanks Josh Rosen for being average. Personally, I think all of the top four have a chance to be good qbs. The main thing from the Bills' perspective is that Josh Allen so far looks like a plausible franchise qb down the line. If he hits his ceiling, he will be the best of the bunch because no one can match his superlative physical gifts.
