  1. I really think pass protection is a consideration here. Veteran rbs usually have blitz pickups and the like figured out. With the question marks on the oline, it would make sense to prioritize rbs that can help keep the qb upright.
  2. Apparently they don't have bowling alleys in Firebaugh or Wyoming. He'll have to improve his game. 53 will never fly in Buffalo.
  3. Nice story. Hope those two fellas are a big part of the new wave of Bills' greatness.
  4. I always liked her. When I saw your thread title, I knew exactly who she was. Hate the groan-inducing double-entendres, but there's still a sense of style in the first Connery films that was never really recaptured in later installments of the series, imo.
  5. I liked Mahomes last year, but if you had told me we'd end up with Allen/White/Edmunds, I'd happily go with the latter. Indeed, straight up comparison, I prefer Allen, though I still think Mahomes can be quite good.
  6. I loved hats even when I was a little boy. Today, I favor an Irish tweed cap for autumn and winter. I was really just making a joke regarding watches. My grandfather gave me a nice Bulova years ago, but my luck with watches is poor. They break or the wristband snaps. I think I'm not supposed to have a watch; the gods have spoken.
  7. He's pretty tall and reasonably fast. I am just surmising that Daboll thinks he has a shot and that is why we brought him in.
  8. Ahh, who wears a watch nowadays?
  9. The little filter in my head said not to say this? Happy Birthday to a lovely, smart woman who helped save the Bills for Buffalo.
  10. C'mon Eileen is a one hit wonder for Dexy's Midnight Runners. I doubt many folks here like or even remember Kate Bush, but I remain a fan. The Proclaimers 500 Miles showed up in a commercial the other day. I am old and maybe it's just nostalgia, but it was a good tune back in the day. Ahh, I'm techno-incompetent. Thought I was embedding the videos, but no go.
  11. Her name is Kristina Krayt. Not sure why she shows up in a search for Goat Girl.
  12. OP is a Josh Allen fan who saw many of his games at Wyoming. He is rooting for the Bills because of Josh Allen. His POV is certainly not based on deep attachment to Buffalo.
  13. Don't be that guy...
  14. Well, if the NHL decides to participate in the Olympics next time, half of team Sweden will be Sabres.
  15. DPG's comment does not appear to imply certitude Allen and Edmunds will "pan out." Nothing more than a sarcastic comment on the obvious nature of La Canfora's assertions.
  16. Okay, I'm certainly convinced of your sincerity. My assessment is far more sanguine. As a Bills' fan, you better hope I am right.
  17. If you really watched all the games, are you able to process any of the counterarguments to your rather dogmatic position? Do contextual elements like a predictable, run-first offense, or poor surrounding talent in 2017, etc. in any way modify your evaluation criteria? Does the interlocutor who actually attended many of the games have superficial points, because it doesn't seem to me you have really engaged them? We'll see how it turns out, but you have taken a position with no wiggle room.
  18. Just as scores below 30 are apparently indicative of autistic tendencies, I suspect scores close to 80 would indicate some kind of disordered lack of sense of self. Anyway, that's how I'm going to justify 50 as just about right . . .
  19. I pushed for drafting Mahomes last year. I am thrilled we passed on him, because Allen is the better prospect with fewer flaws to overcome.
  20. Perhaps the mods could move this to the appropriate forum . . .
  21. I think this is supposed to be in the PPP forum or some such. Folks are going to get mad. (Well, someone already did before I could even post this.) I actually feel retrospectively sorry for Nixon. He was a choir boy next to Obama, Clinton, and the deep state machine. But when you have main stream media, public education, and Hollywood manufacturing the propaganda for you, that's how it is. We'll see if there are enough old school liberals with integrity. I am skeptical, but there is enough evident excrement hitting the fan that it will be hard for the "protected class" to skate entirely.
  22. Premature Consternation is often a sign of immaturity?
  23. You can make plausible arguments supporting or opposing any of the top qbs selected in the draft. It's a little odd, however, that one should take rumored reports of Josh Rosen lighting it up in OTAs and the opinions of DJ & Brooks as indicative of Rosen's future. At the same time, you counsel those who like Allen to "at least see what he does before thinking he's somewhat good." Alright. None of these fellas has played in the NFL, so maybe we should all just say nothing and wait and see how it goes. OTOH, message boards are here so folks can speculate and supposedly enjoy talking about their team. You don't really expect folks to just shut up and if you do, why don't you? I don't presume to know the future. Apparently, however, you have certitude: "EVERY stat & Game you watch of his, shows he's not going to make it." Strangely, there actually were genuine pro scouts and teams that were unaware of this. Beane appears to think Allen actually can be a very good pro qb. He must lack your superior acumen. Unlikely all five fellas drafted in the first hit, but I am guessing more than one is good. Allen's unique background (late bloomer, tiny CA farm town, juco, Wyoming team with little talent in 2017 contextualize the stats). What doesn't show up are elements that are qualitative; such have significance for a holistic evaluation of a player. You won't get any of that from watching Youtube. Perhaps the professionals at OBD have more data points to consider than you have avaliable to you. I think Allen has a chance to be very good, but I am not asserting knowledge today about an unknown future. I think Rosen may have durability issues; he may ironically turn into Sam Bradford 2.0 with Jay Cutler's personality -- or perhaps he is the superstar in waiting you proclaim.
