This is well thought out, though also certainly on the optimistic side. And honestly, you can say the numbers dedicated to improvement are equally on both sides of the ball. I just don't buy that the resources are evenly spread out. Though I understand you can't fix everything and that there were needs on defense as well, I was one of those who wanted more attention to the oline and wr last year. On the plus side, the changes on Dline have been particularly effective and Rousseau has emerged as a top-tier player. I don't know if folks have realized yet how strong his game is. However, the first round cb so far is not seeing the field as much as one would like. (I expect Elam will be fine, btw.) Nonetheless, I wanted to trade up for Jameson Williams who just now is seeing the field with the Lions. If you were inserting Williams into the Bills' lineup right about now, there would be a real chance he would be a game changer. Regardless, at this point, everyone has to hope for the best possible outcome. Next year, offense must be a priority. If you want Allen to have a long, productive career, pour much more resources into the oline. However, I suspect the focus with this bunch is going to be safety.

I also suspect that Josh has been dealing with injury issues beyond ordinary wear and tear from the football season. I wonder now if it is a nagging problem that has more effect on short and mid-range throws. That may also be a factor in where he is choosing to look and what throws he favors. Of course, all speculative and perhaps nonsense.

Week 15: Dolphins at Bills on Saturday Night Football
Dr. Who replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Australia fascinated me as a youth -- and I loved the popular culture they were exporting, some or all of which may seem cheesy to folks nowadays. Just off the top of my head, Paul Hogan before Crocodile Dundee, Mad Max, Men At Work, INXS, Eurogliders . . . alas, the vibe I get in both countries nowadays is late Rome decadence and general ennui. -
Updated Beasley signing to practice squad
Dr. Who replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
In my non-analytical been watching football for over 50 yrs intuitive sense of things, it seems to me that Josh improved his game immensely when he was taking what was available and foregoing making hero ball the first and last option. For whatever reason, he seems to be ignoring the easy yards. If he took those, the whole offense would be much harder to stop and it would eventually open up more splash plays. Josh is smart enough to know this, but he ain't following through. Don't know if that is a trust issue with the receivers or not. -
Not sure exactly what is going on with Mariota, but I live in Georgia and thus occasionally find myself watching the Falcons -- I dunno, maybe I have a masochistic streak. Imo, this is not a tank move. The Falcons at 5 -8 are only one game out of first in the worst division in football. Mariotta is a barely competent backup. I think they want to give Ridder a shot the way Tomlin decided to give Pickett a shot. Thanks for the context. That makes a difference.

I agree that Cincy is a formidable obstacle. Unlike KC, I do not hate them, but they are peaking at the right time.

Well, I think this fella is a Dolphin's troll, but if the latter, this one is in a bad way.

I don't really understand perverted psychologies, folks into kink, etc. Why someone would devote serious time to come to the message board of a team he or she or they dislikes in order to repeatedly troll them is beyond me, but it's certainly unsavory and a tired schtick.

I'm confused. Doesn't King Henry play for the Titans, a team that just got pummeled by the Jaguars?

Updated Beasley signing to practice squad
Dr. Who replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do you think Dorsey's system is substantially different from Daboll's? Part of the reason he was hired was for the sake of continuity. Allen apparently asked for Beasley, so his opinion is worth noting. I thought he was washed last year. Maybe he is, but I don't see how Beasely can do worse than what we're currently getting from the slot and he might have a late spring and help us for the playoff run and post-season. -

Sure hope Josh demands the next draft and FA is largely devoted to oline and wr then. -

He looked done to me last year, but I don't see the risk. If he is rejuvenated, he is reliable and we need that. I always liked him, so it would be great if he could contribute to a SB run. -
He's a Dolphin troll who has consistently overrated Tua. Jalen Hurts is a fella who has legit taken a leap. Tua is a system qb whose modest skill set has been amplified by the addition of Hill and the drafting of Waddle.

He appears to presume that Tua was playing at best QB/league MVP level.

Orlovsky: Bills aren't as talented offensively as we thought
Dr. Who replied to Billz4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, I'm not part of the crowd who hates on Beasley because of Covid or political differences. I do think the tweets became a distraction, but mainly, I think his legs gave out. Maybe he was playing hurt, but he wasn't the same last season. If you could get the old Beasley in this offense, it would be crazy not to want that. -

So my question is are the practicing issues related to Josh Allen's elbow and restrictions that can't be helped -- or not? Late in the season to be figuring out. -

It would not have hurt as much if the slot position had someone even adequate to replace him. Crowder never sinked up with Josh and got hurt. Shakir flashed and disappeared. McKenzie is a gadget guy and woefully inconsistent. -
I like the checkerboards. I also have a Euro bias, so that works for me, but I can't say I dislike anyone who is left. There's nothing wrong with Brazil, but the single name beautiful game thing annoys me. Irrational, but I can't help it.

One of the best quarterfinals I can recall for the World Cup. I was hoping for England, but France is a worthy team. Everyone left has a good story attached. You have to favor Argentina and France, but this is not a chalk tournament, so who really knows? So sad about Grant Wahl . . .

It's a remake of Here Comes Mr. Jordan, though the first film involves a boxer, not a qb. Both pretty good. Claude Raines and Robert Montgomery ain't too shabby, either. If you have to be old to know about Heaven Can Wait, I guess you have to practically be a ghost to know about the original.
