Who on this board would you choose to make our draft picks?
Bill from NYC replied to Don Otreply's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Eagles Have Jalen Hurts, Davonta Smith, and Landon Dickerson. Which one don't you care for? Also, you forgot Brian Branch (who I have seen you praise) on the Lions as well. -
The Jacksonville Jaguars with pick #5 select OT Kelvin Banks, University of Texas. Some will call this a reach but I don't care because: 1) I have not given up on the possibility (yet) of Trevor Lawrence being a very good quarterback. In college he was fabulous. He needs more protection. 2) Quinn Ewers had all month to throw in 2024 in almost every game amd much of this was due to Banks. The Raiders and @section122are on the clock.

LOL The Eagles and The Lions say Hi. -

@BADOLBILZ -
Totally agree. This draft looks to be a weak one, or so I think. I wouldn't mind trading out of round one if we could make a trade that would include a #1 in 2026 and other considerations.

Jags please.

If we walk together, little children We don't ever have to worry Through this world of trouble We gotta love one another Let us take our fellow man, by the hand Try to help him to understand We can all be together, forever and ever When we make it to the promised land

What is your draft doomsday scenario?
Bill from NYC replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott will insist on trading up to draft a corner. I can see this on a a cold dark night from miles away. One thing I have learned from being a Bills Fan for many decades is that history really does repeat itself. It is going to happen and it will once again harm the team. The good news? I'm not going to stress out the way I used to. What was it they said about being granted serenity? I will post a comment or two but it won't be tearing me apart the way it used to. I will be a BIlls Fan if they draft defensive backs in every round. Front office idiocy has not stopped, and will not stop me from supporting the team. PS: In my non-expert opinion, the quality of this draft is quite poor, but I will still watch and hope for a Bills miracle. -
Calliope wail like a seaside zoo The very last lately inquired about you It's really very one or two The first you wanted, the last I knew I just wonder if you shouldn't feel Less concerned about the people unreal The very first word is, "How do you do?" The last "Go home. Your mama's calling you." Calling you, calling you, calling you, calling you

Hampton Inn Williamsville is in a wonderful location. Great restaurants, breweries, etc. and reasonably priced.

I'm way more under control than I used to be. I'm just edgy before this draft because I can see what is coming a mile away.

Tears and fears and feeling proud To say, "I love you, " right out loud Dreams and schemes and circus crowds I've looked at life that way But now old friends, they're acting strange They shake their heads, they say I've changed Well something's lost, but something's gained In living every day

What is your favorite serendipitous draft story?
Bill from NYC replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hey, at least we were able to draft CB Tre White instead of Mahomes. You see? There IS always a silver lining. -
Maybe we should trade Josh Allen for him or even another cornerback, and throw in our 1st round pick in 2026 to sweeten the pot if need be.
-
He hired his clone (Jauron) and together concentrated on defensive backs above all else. The 2006 draft was as bad as could possibly be, other than Kyle Williams who we lucked into in round 5. Even Kyle was placed at the nose where he did bot belong and didn't play well until he was moved.

Marv Levy is WAY overrated as a coach, and probably the worst GM in modern day football. Just absolutely terrible. This is not to say he is not a good person. He is and I wish him the best. Sorry, but you asked.

With selection #57 The panthers, in an effort to protect Bryce Young, select Cameron Williams - OT - University of Texas. I have not seen that much of him, but what I have seen is Quinn Ewers having all day to throw most of the time. I am hoping that this huge kid devlops into a solid RT, or at least a quality guard. The Texans and @Big Blitzare on the clock.

Not a prob. I will have my pick promptly after 7 PM.

You too are correct. Mac was a better college QB than Hurts imo. Hurts is doing better in the NFL because of his mobility, and the fact that he is a physical specimen. Hurts would squat trremendous amounts of weight and is amazingly strong, as well as being very fast. They are both very intelligent. Mac has not shown much in the NFL. We will see what the future holds. I have been wrong many times before but I think that if he was in the right spot he would be a pretty good QB. I wish he was on the Bills as a backup.
-
Mac Jones debatable? As a starter he was undefated and won a national title. Look at his stats. His junior year was probably one of the all time best seasons for a college QB. His completion pct. was 77.4 with 41 TDs. Milroe is a better runner but as a passer, he takes sacks all the time because he cannot make decisions. He has a deep arm but has a hard time completing short and mid range passes. The Alabama team was much better than it's record last season. Milroe, despite his talent, held them back. Anything can happen. Milroe IS a talented player and I wish him well. That said, Mac was 1,000 times better at Alabama than Milroe. Maybe someone in the NFL can coach him up. I hope so, but; he had some very well qualified coaches in Tuscaloosa. Bill O'Brien once told him that he should switch positions. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/mac-jones-1.html https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10102815-jalen-milroe-says-former-alabama-oc-bill-obrien-told-him-he-shouldnt-play-qb

Milroe is a great kid, but he is the worst QB to play at Alabama for many years.
-
Wow, what a steal! It isn't impossible that Dart will be the best QB in this draft, or perhaps top two. I expect him to be drafted in the top 15. Jmo.

I had the same issue. Some sort of warning that did not appear on other sites.
