  1. Whatcha tryin' to do to my heart Whatcha tryin' to do to my heart You go around, tellin' lies, and now you wanna compromise Whatcha tryin' to do to my heart You better run, you better hide, you better leave from my side
  2. He too looked suicidal when we drafted him.
  3. Tell me lies later, come and see me I'll be around for a while I am lonely but you can free me All in the way that you smile Tell me why Tell me why Is it hard to make arrangements with yourself When you're old enough to repay But young enough to sell?
  4. First of all, I am not trying to sway anyone to agree with me. I come here to talk about the Bills and football. I don't necessarily care whether or not you agree with my takes, and I'm quite certain that the feeling is mutual. That said, let's explore that trade a bit more, shall we? When McDermott made this trade, Beane was not there. Do you really think that McDermott was sure of Josh Allen being there for them in 2018? I make the case that they lucked into Josh. In that same draft (2018) they also traded up for Tre Edmunds. Good move? And if you think that the Bills received adequate compensation for the #10 pick, let's just agree to disagree. Going down 17 spots from a top 10 pick? For what they received? I don't think so. And really, it is up to professionals to recognize the best QB in football, not me and you. We are just fans with opinions enjoying ourselves, no? So you see? There is no need to be accusatory or hostile. Not every fan has to support and/or every dumb move, or even not so dumb move that the Bills make. We are fans, not cultish followers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome
  5. You are correct. My choice of words was wrong. Hey, I'm sorry. McDermott thought that Tre was more important than Mahomes, despite the fact that the Bills were in desperate need of a quarterback. Does that sound better to you? Also, if you think that we were given adequate compensation for that trade, I suggest letting your wife do the negotiating when you shop for a new car. Peace.
  6. You say that once you knew for sure But now you're walkin' into shore to wonder* The more you learn the less you know The more you move the more you go to nowhere* You ask a bird as she flies by Just where she's at she says, where the wind blows* Ask her by that what she means She says she doesn't know But as she flew away she seemed to say The wind is love is the wind Wind is my love Who knows the wind Who knows my love Where blows the wind The wind is my love
  7. A 12 year old kid with a copy of the old Pro Football Weekly would have done a better job than Marv Levy as GM.
  8. If you ever feel lonesome And you're down in San Antone Beg, steal or borrow two nickels or a dime To call me on the phone And I'll meet you at Alamo Mission We can say our prayers The Holy Ghost and the Virgin Mother Will heal us as we kneel there In the moonlight, in the midnight In the moonlight, midnight moonlight In the moonlight, in the midnight In the moonlight, midnight moonlight
  9. McDermott is looking for extra picks so he can trade up for a corner.
  10. The above says it all imo. Yes, I have seen gentle pit bulls. In fact, one of THE nicest dogs I ever saw was a Pit/Rotweiller mix. He was black and white and weighed WELL OVER 100 pounds, perhaps 150. He was staring at me in an outdoor, upstate brewery. I asked the owners if he was going to attack me and she said, "no, he wants to kss you." I had a few IPAs in me and called him over. He was just SO friendly. The owners told me that he wouldn't even protect their house and that he loves everybody. I believed them. The thing is, this dog had a head the size of an engine block. He could have fit my thigh in his mouth. So, as you say; owners with dogs this size should be held fully accountable if God forbid the dog has a bad day.
  11. Did you steal that horrible draft list from McDermott?
  12. Tua was drafted at #6 in 2020. New England had the 23rd pick that year and they traded the pick (down). NE drafted Mac Jones at #15 in 2021. I really don't know where you are going with the above post.
  13. And I was walking down the street one day A pretty lady looked at me And said her diamond watch had stopped cold dead And I said Does anybody really know what time it is? (Care) Does anybody really care? (About time) You know, I can't imagine why (Oh no, no) We've all got time enough to cry
  14. And you would be 100% correct, AND; he did it without a great QB. I am not at all high on Milroe. The 4 QBs on Alabama before Milroe were superb and yes, this includes Mac Jones (although that particular team could be considered to have had one of the best offenses of all time). Either way, Hurts, Tua, Mac, and Bryce were great college QBs. Milroe is not imo. He is a great runner but he very slow in terms of making decisions and takes unneccessary sacks. He throws a pretty good deep pass (especially post patterns) but he needs tons of work on the short stuff, but remember, this will be his 4th year in Tuscaloosa. Despite everything, to include a very poor start, they just missed making the title game and did defeat Georgia, in Atlanta. Btw, I don't know much about DeBoer but I love the things that he is saying. Bama still has a TON of talent in the QB room and I am hoping for an open competition.
  15. GB, Coach Saban has stated NUMEROUS times that he wants players to get paid. He did however say that there should be some sort of system in place. With the latest Appellate Court ruling, it looks as if there will be no system. The judge even imposed a tremporary injunction against the NCAA from what I understand, and this was AFTER his decision to retire. Coach Saban said that he made his final decision 5 minutes before the 4 PM phone call and Terry (his wife) said she would support him either way. My daughter told me that when judges impose these injunctions, they tend to think that their decision is very unlikely to be overturned. But keep in mind, I am not the lawyer in the family.
  16. Not the guy? How many playoff appearances does he have since NIL? He has won more championships than your favorite school has with all of their coaches combined (if they ever won any). That said, don't be weighed down by jealousy and/or depression. Do feel better.
  17. Those high notes are unbelievable, no?
  18. Nah, McDermott saves that strategy for cornerbacks.
  19. Almost, yes and this is why I can see McDermott doing it. He was in desperate need of a QB and chose Tre White, why stop now?
