  1. Trading up for Elam was another gem.
  2. I cannot come up with an argument against above.
  3. Here are a few more: 1) The offensive line was disgraceful. it was bad to the point of bringing back memories of the likes of Corey Louchiey, Melvin Fowler, Jerry Ostroski, etc. It was painful to watch them stink up the field and we are lucky that Josh came out of this debacle with only a seemingly minor injury. 2) McDermott and Beane built this team around DTs and Cornerbacks, right @GunnerBill? Well, the Falcons ran for 210 yards on 32 carries. Not too shabby. Oliver made some nice plays but the truth is that they ran all over us. Drake London is a fine receiver. In five games has has caught for 427 yards. The problem is that 158 of these yards were against us last night. 3) Atlanta is a 3-2 team. This record includes a 30-0 loss to Carolina. This was not like getting beat by the Super Bowl Cowboys. 4) It is far too early to give up on Keon Coleman being a star receiver. That said, last night sorta pushed me in that direction. 5) I am NOT giving up on the season, however; a few more game like this and McDermott must go. This is jmo. 6) Will McDermott (if he isn't fired) see the light and go after wide receivers and blockers to make life easier for our great quarterback? My answer would be yes, as soon as pigs fly. The two of these 100% "equal partners" will jump all over corners and safeties. 7) Yes, this game was a disaster, but we have stuck with them through worse times. Can they bounce back fron this? I think they will but I don't have any idea to what extent. 8. I hold onto hope that we will come back strong and win games, to include the Super Bowl. Let's hope that they are able to regroup and not have any more games as horrible as this. It was just too painful to watch. 9) GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. We would lose track of the TD passes he would catch from Josh!!!!!
  5. We should bring back Donte Whitner. This time we could grab him without using the #8 pick.
  6. Hold my hand Want you to hold my hand Hold my hand I'll take you to a place where you can be Hold my hand Anything you wanna be because I wanna love you the best that The best that I can
  7. Every time I see your face It reminds me of the places we used to go But all I've got is a photograph And I realise you're not comin' back anymore I thought I'd make it The day you went away But I can't make it 'Til you come home again to stay
  8. If you call I'll be right with you You and I should be together Take this love I long to give you I'll be at your side forever Call me, don't be afraid, you can call me Maybe it's late, but you call me Tell me and I'll be around
  9. Come Saturday mornin' I'm goin' away with my friend We'll Saturday-spend 'Til the end of the day Just I and my friend We'll travel for miles In our Saturday smiles And then we'll move on But we will remember Long after Saturday's gone
  10. Till the morning comes, it'll do you fine Till the morning comes, like a highway sign Showing you the way, leaving no doubt Of the way on in or the way back out Tell you what I'll do I'll watch out for you You're my woman now Make yourself easy Make yourself easy Make yourself easy
  11. Thank you for this!!! I will add that imo there is virtually no such thing as equal power in alomost every phase of life, let alone employment, except perhaps in an ideal marriage. If McDermott and Beane completely disagree on what to do in round one when they are on the clock, what are we to think that these "equals" do? Toss a coin? My guess is that McDermott holds the deciding vote. Could I be wrong? Of course, but the evidence tell me I'm correct. I have had this discussion with a poster who I hold in the highest esteem. He is a football expert and it really isn't so easy to go against him. I don't know, maybe the next time we discuss this issue, he and I should toss a coin.
  12. Your rain, falls like crazy fingers Peals of fragile thunder, keeping time Recall the days that still are to come, some sing blue. Hang your heart on laughing willow Stray down to the water, deep sea of love Beneath the sweet calm face of the sea, swift undertow. Life may be sweeter for this, I don't know, See how it feels in the end. May Lady Lullaby sing plainly for you, soft, strong, sweet and true. Cloud hands, reaching from a rainbow, tapping at the window, touch your hair So swift and bright strange figures of light Float, in air. RIP Robert Hunter
  13. You make a very good point. The thing is, other than paying Josh (and almost all NFL QBs are making the big bucks), where have the dynamic duo allocated the most resources? Obviously, DT and cornerback. Our problems now would seem to be teams running up the middle on us and lousy corner play, all this while lacking at the wide receiver position. This, while having an all time great quarterback. Now, the question is imo, should there, or should there not be any accountability? Should we continue on and trade UP for cornerbacks and DOWN for receivers? Jalen Hurts won a Super Bowl and he is good. Perhaps even very good but fractionally as good as Josh. That said, look at his tools. He has three receivers that are better than our best one. In summary, I like McDermott as a field general, NOT as a team builder. I think that he has way too much say in how the team is constructed, and both he and Beane should be held accountable for not providing Josh with the tools that would make us win more games, if not a super bowl. Posters on TSW have been screaming for years to give Josh more weapons while these two are scrambling around for first round cornerbacks. They figured this out and McBeane could not? Sorry, but this is unacceptable imo, and sorry for the rant.
  14. The real issue in that game is whether or not Taylor Swift will be attending. If she is, the Chiefs are a lock.
  15. That sucks and I'm very sorry. It's the worst part of having a dog.
  16. Well @Virgil, perhaps Coleman just isn't as good as we make him out to be. I have always thought that if McDermott really believed he was THAT good, he wouldn't have traded down not once but twice before ultimately drafting him. I mean, he traded UP for Kaiir Elam because this is where his priorities lie. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/xavier-worthy-keon-coleman-trade-nfl-draft-chiefs-bills/e5e244ae39309a97d3105cf4 https://billswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bills/2022/04/28/buffalo-bills-trade-pick-23-baltimore-ravens-2022-nfl-draft-kaiir-elam/79261099007/ I wonder just how good Coleman would look without the most talented QB in football and if healthy, an all time great. How many balls would he catch from Tua, Justin Fields, etc.? The Bills, despite the loss, have a great record and not much competition in their very weak division. I hope that they have what it takes to win a super bowl and who knows; this could be the year. That said, they have failed at providing weapons to an MVP, first ballot HOF QB. They need to get their priorities straight and sadly, our team leadership appears to be incapable of doing so. Blast away but this is jmo.
  17. I loved you then I guess I'll love you forever And even though I know we could never stay together I think about how it could've been If we could just start all over again And I'll Never be the same without you here I'll live alone Hide myself behind my tears No, I'll Never be the same without your love I'll live alone Try so hard to rise above
  18. It sure does appear that The Crimson Tide has itself a quarterback in Ty Simpson!!! Heisman finalist perhaps?
  19. The old house dog Is waggin' his tail Nobody loves him He's dirty as hell They put him in home sweet hell Everyone now Home sweet home
  20. Thanks for keeping us updated. The prayers will continue.
  21. And there I go jumping before the gunshot has gone off Slap me with the splintered ruler And it would knock me to the floor if I wasn't there already If only I could hunt the hunter And all I really want is some patience A way to calm the angry voice And all I really want is deliverance Ah, aao, aao, aao, aa, aah
