This was his best game ever imo. He was 12 of 18 for 108 for 108 yards. The thing is, there were two drops which were not his fault, and one of them was not a short pass. That said, he improved every phase of his game vs. LSU. We always knew he could run, but this time he made quick decisions. He also took less sacks. A player with his size and speed should never have taken as many sacks as he did coming into this game. Milroe is a very intelligent kid and already has his degree, but his decision making wasn't that good.....until Saturday. This team is more talented than most believe, despite their current record. The really big loss they suffered was (ahem) Caleb Downs, who really might be the best safety in the NCAA. That said, the Bama secondary really is improving. This kid Bray Hubbard came from nowhere and is making plays all over the field at safety and the young corners are progressing well. The defense gave up a combined total of 13 points against Missouri and LSU at night on the road. If Milroe can continue to play at this level (and I'm not at all sure that he will), teams will be badly mistaken to take them lightly. In fact, I can't think of a team that they could not compete against, but again; Milroe has to at least stay at his level of play vs. LSU. If not, we are through.

I call your name, but you're not there Was I to blame, for being unfair Don't you know I can't sleep at night Since you've been gone I never weep at night I can't go on

You keep your distance via the system of touch And gentle persuasion I'm lost in admiration, could I need you this much? Oh, you're wasting my time You're just, just, just wasting time Something happens and I'm head over heels I never find out until I'm head over heels Something happens and I'm head over heels Ah, don't take my heart, don't break my heart Don't, don't, don't throw it away

I have stayed at the Williamsville Hampton Inn many times and it is great. Walikng distance to restaurants and breweries and just down the road from the Eagle House, a GREAT restaurant.

Well, for 17 years this was not true.

Lack of discipline is a HUGE problem. DeBoer has an ice cream truck and loud music at practice. The players are not used to being this comfortable. That said, the elephant in the room imo is Milroe. Great runner, strong arm, but he isn't a good passer or decision maker. There is talent up and down their roster. The receivers, TEs, and running backs are fine, but; teams are jamming the line of scrimage and daring Milroe to throw, and he just isn't very good at it, at least when compared to their previous four (if not six) quarterbacks. My biggest fear wrt the Tide is that Milroe gets a poor draft grade and comes back for his 3 million NIL. It's time for them to turn the page at QB. Jmo.

That makes a ton of sense. Mac Jones was GREAT in college but he only had one season as a starter. Although QBs (including even Peyton Manning) need time to adjust, I don't consider the NFL to be a developmental league.

I like the way you phrased this. I remember him well when he played at Florida. He did have a huge amount of talent but I wasn't all that frightened when he played against Alabama. Ironically, Alabama now has a QB with a similar great skill set (Jalen Milroe) who is not a favorite of mine (although he would never tap out of a game). The following are Richardson's college stats. Drafting him in round one was a dumb move imo. There was nothing to indicate that he merited a first round pick. https://www.ncaa.com/news/football/article/2023-04-27/anthony-richardson-college-football-stats-records

He was a great guy and this is very sad news. RIP John and keep on rooting from the sky.

Jags trade LT Robinson to Vikings

I very rarely get to watch the Giants but I saw some of his highlights. Serious question, is he the best, or one of the best DTs in the NFL, or was the great play from him that I saw on the highlights just an outlier? He looked like freaking Leon Lett on some of the plays I saw. -
Indeed. I too fail to see the problem lol.

Yesterday a child came out to wonder Caught a dragonfly inside a jar Fearful when the sky was full of thunder And tearful at the falling of a star And the seasons they go round and round And the painted ponies go up and down We're captive on the carousel of time We can't return we can only look behind from where we came And go round and round and round In the circle game

Are your players displaying a lack of discipline or perhaps even concentration? The Alabama players don't seem to be as focused this season. Also, how is Caleb Downs looking?

The man really does teach about coaching and developing players. There may never be another Nick Saban.

The thing is, these coaches have guaranteed contracts. I hope that they don't wind up in a Texas A&M/Jimbo Fisher situation. I really don't think they have that kind of money.

Excellent!
