11/21/21 Gameday Colts@Bills Pregame Thread

But you can spell Fahrenheit. 🙂 -
Nice. If you get your hands on a Weller, try an Old Fashioned using that one. And as for Buffalo Trace, I haven't found a bottle since before Covid . Good base bourbon to have handy

Who is "they" in that sentence? I expect this to be a tough game primarily due to Reich's game planning. I am hoping that his best laid plans are negated by Wentz's penchant for suckiness.

.... assisted by Davis's best game to date

McD should keep that device and use the wrong end up Daboll's back end when he gets into these phases where he is calling a bad game and refuses to adjust to the opposing Defense's looks.

Sorry to hear about your medical and sleeping issues, Dean Imo, the laws are in place for a reason. At the risk of sounding preachy, one shouldn't get high or drunk while driving just because you can get away with it. Risk to others is pretty high. Also, if Bradham was using for medical conditions, do it in the comfort of your home or other location where he could get the intended benefit while staying within applicable laws.

Oh Sammy...I don't miss you. Pathetic effort here.
Fan in Chicago replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Only point I agree with is the injuries but I doubt they are all because he is inherently injury-prone. Some of it has to be fitness and in general how he takes care of his body (see Brady for opposite end). And the scrap heap is littered with 1st round picks who had lot of talent and showed it in college. One job of talent evaluators must be judging of the intangibles that can translate these into actual production in the NFL. I blame the (then) Bills FO for drafting him and Watkins for then not committing himself to his craft. I correct my earlier post - he is a bust -

I disagree that he was worth a 1st rounder. Cut it any way you want -availability, production, effort - he is a borderline bust. -

No we dont miss him. He was a non-factor most of last year, even when he was not injured

I challenge that assertion esp on the OL. We are a fantastic D but the O is mercurial/bipolar (take your pick). There is a consistent pattern in our losses in that the OL wasn't able to handle the pressure and couldn't establish a run game outside of Allen. Sure the OL was missing starters in the Jags game but most teams are missing starters. To say that "we would win the SB with all starters playing" is being utterly optimistic. Even with all the OL starters (not even sure who is labelled as a starter at which position outside of Morse and Dawkins. I am NOT saying this team is bad. All I am saying is that O stats look good because of a few blowouts. You have to look at the ways we lost to truly consider the prospects of reaching (and winning) a SB. As of now, with most starters playing, Imo, we wont get past the AFCCG. I am also concerned about the clear penalties on our OL and ST.

Didnt we say the exact same thing after the Steelers loss, and the Titans loss? Good teams don't need wake up calls. I know there aren't a lot of tennis fans here but a life & sports lesson should be learnt from Rafael Nadal - fight for every friggin point, no matter the opponent, no matter the situation of the match. Every point, every time, like it is match point.

Odd that you are taking this position seeing how the lack of a running game is hurting the Bills. Also, there are several teams which are regularly trying to establish the run (Packers, Titans). Yes, RB has been devalued but not to the extent you are making it out to be. The pendulum never swings entirely to one end. While the league depends on passing, and the Bills success will run through Allen's arm, it does not work on a consistent basis without a credible running threat by players other than the QB. We are awful running the ball and the results are in the open. While I dont pin it as the sole reason for our woes (there is plenty of blame to go around), even with a good OL, I would want the Bills to have a run-pass of 35-65 or 40-60. I agree on the point of not taking a RB very high. 3rd round is, imo, the sweet spot. Never in the first round, maybe use a 2nd round pick for a good player.

We are in the fifth stage (anger) of grief response. Now is not the time to come with your fancy shmanzy postivity speech.

I hate to say it … but the Pats are coming

Methinks you are the root cause of the problem of this thread being hijacked. And I trust the process that you will solve it -

Fan in Chicago replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pats** are a major concern particularly because we are not holding up our side of the bargain. If the Titans game did not raise red flags, yesterday's game showed them in full glory. One consistent personality if Belichick coached teams is that they play to their abilities and mask deficiencies. They maximize their potential and minimize penalties. Clearly, we control our own destiny but right now things are not going well as yesterday's game came after the Titans loss and anemic offense in the first half of the Dolphins game. -
Was this the worst upset loss in team history?
Fan in Chicago replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course we weren't fully healthy. But that is not an excuse against one of the worst teams in the NFL. What is making this worse is the fact that the O has looked out of sorts for past 3 games. Forget dominance, they don't have the ability to adjust and put together a few drives. Brady used to do this consistently during his time with the Pats**. We just can't seem to do this. Allen was continuously under pressure and had no time to get into any rhythm. Very depressing performance today -
That was a good interview. Sanders is a good guy 🙄 This is Love's big chance to show some level of competency. A Packers fan-friend said he will be singing "All we need is Love"

TNF: Jets @ Colts, 8:20 on Fox/NFLN
Fan in Chicago replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dislike the Jets and the kind of support their fans provide (or not) but yesterday I honestly felt bad for the Jets in general. They got thoroughly embarrassed. It was a sorry sight esp after that long TD run.
