It’s all so bad and they’re all so myopic about anything they hear from Trump that they just go along without care to the long lasting consequences to our country. This voter fraud stuff is straight BS. That’s all the conversation that anyone of right mind should have needed on this topic.

Give me a break. But maybe you’re right. He simply encouraged it, enjoyed watching it happen, and did nothing to stop it. So there’s that.

I’m reading the book right now. It’s breathtaking. Simply breathtaking. It’s obviously based on significant conversations with Milley, Lee, Pompeo, and at least people close to Pence (what a wimp, by the way). How anyone could support Trump after reading this is beyond me. It’s disgusting.

We’re getting somewhere. No beat-ins, and no ivermectin challenge. So would I have to do a little voter fraud thing, like maybe go to Arizona to help with the “recount” before I’m admitted to this super exclusive, semi-secret, and totally awesome new group?

Hoax. We’ve been over this. You keep on trying to change the subject because you preached, based on your medical “expertise,” that HCQ is an effective treatment for COVID, and perhaps may also be yummy. I can’t speak to the latter point, but I know that the former point is a hoax. And I’m not even a “Doc!”

I’m reading the new Woodward book right now. Seems like Pompeo was in on it, too. Apparently only the hardest of hardcore Trumpers think that accidentally or whimsically nuking a foreign country would have been a good idea.

With what? Conspiracy theories? Ivermectin challenge? Acts of fealty to Donald Trump? Or is it like a gang, and you dress the new person as a Democrat and beat him or her in? No thanks. I’ll pass.

I think someone should study the side effects of taking mass quantities of Ivermectin and HCQ simultaneously. Looks like it’s made Doc delusional. Maybe it’s a polydrug thing. No matter, I wish you the best in your recovery, Doc.

Everyone is in on the joke except for the Trump base. Literally everyone. It’s sad that such a large group of people could be fooled so easily.

This a good point. I understand how there are conservative lawyers and liberal lawyers. The law is often gray and is open to interpretation. I’m somewhat confused as to how we have conservative physicians and “other” physicians. I understand that there is a difference in approach on issues such as abortion and right-to-die. But I don’t for the life of me comprehend how we can have two different approaches to things like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. The drugs either work for this purpose, or they don’t. And this now relates to football because the disparity in approach has left us in a situation where the vaccinated may feel uncomfortable attending games with the unvaccinated under the “Week 1” rules, and the unvaccinated cannot attend under the “Week 3” rules. It’s a shame that it has to be this way, and it never should have reached this point. But here we are.

It’s hypocritical and ridiculous. I’ve had enough of it. If someone doesn’t want to vax, I disagree with it, but that’s their choice and I let them be. If someone doesn’t want to wear the mask, or wants to wear it improperly, I disagree with it and see it as selfish, but that again is their choice and I move on. If someone wants to harass me about it, then they have to do it eye to eye six inches from my nose because I’m personally done taking their nonsense and having them give their nonsense to my wife and kids. They get a lot quieter when that happens.

Everyone’s entitled to an opinion, but I look at stuff like that as a cop out. It’s an excuse not to get the vax. I consider myself to be highly educated, and I can’t muster more than a rudimentary understanding of the constructs of the various vaccines. That’s why I do things like trust the experts—the people who dedicate their lives, in non-partisan organizations like the CDC and the FDA—to figuring this stuff out. Maybe that’s a point about this struggle with respect to individualism that we have as a society right now. It’s fine to “do research” and to question what one is told. But that approach has its limits. The guy, for example, rolling chalupas at Taco Bell is highly, highly unlikely to ever engage in enough meaningful research to timely assess the efficacy and safety of any vaccine. That’s why, in the community that is this country, we pool our resources to fund things like the FDA and the CDC to assess such things. And so it is that we’re at a point where some of us don’t feel comfortable attending football games because of the crowd that is busy “researching” the COVID vaccines and that has not yet been vaccinated, and some of us are frustrated by the fact that the County and the Bills decided that the window in which to conduct such research has ended, and that those who have not accepted the vaccine or who have declined the vaccine are not welcome at a public gathering to enjoy a football game involving two privately-owned teams. It’s too bad, but at this point the reality is that those in charge (the County and PSE) have to do what’s best for the greatest number of their constituents and customers. That happens to be limiting in-person attendance to the vaccinated, as they are empowered to do. Such are the ups and downs of our capitalist, representative democracy.

I didn’t know of verbal abuse of those wearing masks. Of course, there were maybe a few dozen of us in the stadium, so that may explain why it was hard to find a target. It’s interesting that such comments were voiced. I have the freedom to wear a mask in a sea of people if I so choose. I suppose that someone in the sea has the freedom to comment about that choice, but … it seems hypocritical for one so concerned with freedom and individual liberty to chastise my use of the same rights.
