Totally agree. I'll add that the kind of crappy part was practicing Bryant all week and then cutting him on Friday. (I believe that's what happened, at least.). I'm not sure if he was paid for last week.

Sort of. But there were reports that we were going big game hunting on D in FA. Not specific to Miller, to be sure, but those reports were right.

The wind has been unusually difficult there for the past two years. Even on quieter days it’s tough for returners there. Had a couple of muffs in the blue and white scrimmages in the past two years. Titans has guys dropping all sorts of stuff in warmups before MNF this year. And that Shakir situation has the ball moving all over the place.

Not perceptible on the broadcast was the impact of the wind on the punt Shakir let go. The wind hung it up and, on the way down, it was moving back toward the LOS. Really want him to make that catch, but it was the right call to bail on that mess.

I suspect he’ll return more than McCaffrey. And McCaffrey might be the long term play at slot for us were we to make the more. (I know CMC is an RB, but his long term play probably is a slot.)

Big time. It was windy. I think the miss to Diggs was influenced by the wind. The Davis INT looked like miscommunication - not a great throw, but live in the stadium it looked like Allen was thinking back shoulder and Davis was thinking something else.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us flip the "Cody Ford" pick (a fifth, I know) for help at the deadline. Your suggestion for interior help is a good one. I also wonder if they look at Boettger as that type of addition come the deadline, and spend their capital elsewhere as a need may arise.

That’s weird. I lived in that building for a bit, too. Small world. I have a great Brian Daboll story that I’ll share someday here. It involves my wife excoriating him (thinking he was a creeper) for circling our neighborhood, a chance encounter at Kone King, and him (jokingly) returning the favor the next summer by Mangia in OP.

I sit on the aisle. Drinking has nothing to do with why everyone stands all the time. It really doesn't. There are people in and out, for sure, but many of them are slobs simply looking to drop $9 on a crappy piece of pizza. The gluttons also aren't the reason people stand all of the time. I have never had a beer or any concession product other than water or hot chocolate in that stadium in over 20 years of attending games in the age of majority. Not one. And I stand all the time. It's just what people do there. Frankly, I think a lot of the standing is borne of the fact that the sideline seats are low to the ground, and the people in the very front have to stand to see over such things as players, security, TV equipment, etc. They also have to stand to get a better (albeit only slightly) view of action across or down the field. Now it has become habit.

It’s been this way for so long that I know no different. There’s things that people do at games that I don’t like. Drinking, chief among them. It leads to all sorts of boorish behavior. But that’s what happens at Bills games. And, part of the experience for Bills fans is to stand to watch their team. They’re intense and into the game. So they stand. It’s how it goes.

I’ve thought about it plenty. My position remains the same. I don’t see it as materially different from fans being loud or engaging in another activity of which one might find disruptive to the game day experience.

It’s passion. And interest. It’s what people do at sporting events when tension is high. I don’t see it as inconsiderate.

Normally I would agree completely and unequivocally with what you just said. And ultimately I think you’re right. Here’s the caveat in this situation - Dorsey’s tantrum was after the game, and the circumstances were unique in that we had overcome just about everything circumstances could throw at us (volcanic temperatures, injuries before the game, injuries during the game) in an extremely emotional division matchup with what sounded like a loud crowd. I get the outburst in that scenario. I really do. He just can’t do it again, and he can’t act like a psycho for the reasons you outlined. Can’t ask his players to be composed if he can’t manage it himself.

They were at a Bills game.

FYI - I’ve been a season ticket holder for decades. Our section in the lower bowl stands for every meaningful play. Has done so for years. Many other sections are like that in the lower bowl. So these Bills fans are just bringing a slice of Buffalo on the road with them. Their behavior is not only appropriate, but normal in Buffalo. It was tipped. The ball basically kept its spiral because of its velocity.

His body language looks like that of a guy whose confidence is shot. He needs a few things to go his way. moss, however … ugh.

Agree with all of this, and I'll add that I think the game plan went out the window early because of a combination of a lot of things, including and especially the heat issues on the OL, Kumerow's acute injury, and Davis's lingering injury. The more distant we get from this game, the more impressed I am with how resilient we were (especially on the defensive side of the ball).

Gotta catch him with that anchor hanging around first. This is a tough break. But maybe we see more Siran Neal this week, anyways, kind of like what we did against NE on the road last year. I don’t know. It’s getting tough to keep all of this straight with all of these injuries.

I was wondering about the club myself. Going to be tough to chase Jackson around with the club. But maybe they try that.

Looks like Siran Neal on the outside this week. I’m tempted to say they stick him on the boundary side, let Elam play the field, and see what happens. Next man up. Go Bills.

I just got done with the second half. The most impactful injury today was Mitch Morse. Josh Allen is the best QB in football. And Baker had McKenzie on the last play. McKenzie had to cut it upfield. Next week can’t arrive soon enough.

Based on how his pre-season usage I wonder if Thomas fell out of favor here. He probably was #6 on the S depth chart.

I hope for the person's sake that he is healthy and that whatever injury he has does not prevent him from living a long, happy, and comfortable life. As far as losing the player, it's hard, and it's especially hard with our top two corners out this week. But safety and guard are the easiest positions to play, and we'll make it work the rest of the year and moving forward. Maybe the pick we received from Arizona gets flipped at some point for DB help. Or maybe Cam Lewis becomes a top backup at S when White returns. Or maybe Benford plays some deep safety when White comes back (this might be a good idea for this year, but I love that kid at corner right now). I trust this staff to figure this one out.

I suppose we’re talking about SNAP, SSI, unemployment, maybe some HEAP here and there, too. The kind of stuff that Ricky from the trailer park needs to stay warm and fed while he Googles QAnon conspiracy theories and spends my tax dollars on MAGA gear.
