What you laid out is why players/ agents shouldn’t rush back either. White wasn’t white and got criticized a lot for his play. of course, not every player has the luxury of a big deal and patience.

No one will agree with me (I enjoy being a lone wolf) but I do think Whaley built some really good teams. He just never hit on the qb and that’s what separates GMs.

Honestly, he bought himself 10 years in the Allen pick alone. I also love that he doesn’t just stop trying to improve the roster (with the Trey Lance offer). but the last few drafts haven’t been great. But much like Belichick and “the Patriot Way,” stud qbs cover up a lot of sins and poor moves. but as a guy who hates Allen as prospect, Beane found a stud unicorn and set this Franchise up for a lot of success. He gets a major long leash.

On paper, this is the best this division has ever been top to bottom in my lifetime. And the worst team, has arguably the best coach ever and a top 5 defense. AFC North is also going to be a blood bath. Iron sharpens iron.

MLB of a consistently top 3 defense is the numbers that really matter. MLBs don’t blitz or rack up sacks. Guys who are good in coverage or have a reputation for if don’t get a chance to make a lot of picks. personally, I think TE was best suited as a OLB, which is much more instinctive position, and would have been one of the best in the nfl. But to act like he wasn’t a super important part of this defense is dumb. it’s why we are taking about getting guys off the scrap heap to replace him.

Lance seems like the perfect fit. I believe he was even compared to Allen coming out. He would have been the perfect development guy behind Allen. I was so out on Tyrod as a starter but he would be the perfect backup behind Allen. He may not win games himself but he certainly won’t be the reason you lose. can’t see the giants letting him go though.

One of the worst offenses on one of the worst franchises were complaining??? 😂 Dude has little Sam Howell looking like a legit nfl starting qb. Imagine what he could do with Allen and the KC concepts. and Dorsey may turn out to be a great OC. But it is a huge gamble for a SB contender to make a first time OC their guy. Dorsey is extremely lucky he had Allen because he would have struggled to keep a job with a lesser qb.

I think it was his uncle and he was one of the worst picks in Ravens history. I doubt many fans would welcome a second Elam who is currently struggling as well. And I don’t see how Benford could have much trade value. He looks to be a solid player. I’d rather keep him than get like a 7th roundere

Yeah, in college, they made it seem like he was a track guy playing football. Coaches are like the guy who starts dating the crazy woman - I can change her! Who overrates the Fins? They rarely seem like they even get talked about. but this was one of the all time worst rosters in the nfl. They have done a great job of remaking their team and they are extremely talented. I do think playing in Miami makes you soft and I can’t see them ever winning a playoff game in the cold. But you have to be the biggest homer on earth to not see they are very close to us. but Allen gives us the major edge. Honestly, Allen on the Fins would be absolutely terrifying.

Yeah, it’s wild that they are so locked in on him after 5 games. That said, part of the reason they can let Lance go, is that they have another formed top 5 pick that they believe has talent that KS can get the most out of. personally, I think Darnold is too broken and turnover prone but we will see. No honest Bills fan can disagree with you. We are kinda a soft team. Super talent but run first, physical, defensive teams are our weakness. We need to bury those team with our offense and not let them hang around.
