They need a Stud pass rusher who finishes plays and not complains about getting held. If they could get that, this would be one of the best defenses in franchise history. I agree with all of this and definitely would have welcomed JC here, especially at that awful trade Seattle got him for. But he’s not an elite pass rusher. He should be but he’s not.

Played through college. If I had my mindset now, I think I could played some level after college (of course, everyone says that). I think some people don’t realize is how much of a grind football is. There are few things better than a football game. One of the greatest feelings you can have. But college football kinda sucked. Your life is consumed by football. There was no free time and I wasn’t even playing at Alabama (they don’t go to class there though haha). But it now I pay to go to a gym and just watch the games. I have a few regrets but one of the biggest is I wish I cared about my own football career as much as I did about the Bills haha.

Stevie was pretty good. So was a healthy Sammy. But Diggs is very good.

Once in college, we got high before practice. Literally, it was one of the worst decisions I ever made. I didn’t want to have any physical contact and just feel like I had no stamina. There are a bunch of other things that I think would be more helpful to play than weed. That said, it’s so stupid the nfl bans it. Football is the best sport on each and the nfl is run by morons.

Cousins is a dork. He’s like that guy who is a friend of friend that no one wants to hang out with but gets invited out because one guy feels bad for him.

I can’t say I was a huge fan of Jones but it did seem like overkill the way people trashed the pick before he took a snap. He actually reminds of a less athletic Allen. and for a 4th round pick, Cousins was a great pick. Getting paid what he’s getting paid, it’s awful. A team (even a dumb one like Washington) doesn’t let a true franchise qb go unless there’s an injury or they don’t believe him. That said, I still can see a scenario where Cousins could have success with Minny. They have one of the best rosters in the NFL.

Stop. This is completely made up. What Bills fan possibly defended the Gronk hit? Gronk’s play was a total scumbag hit after play. Jones and Van Noy occurred during game play. You are taught to hit the qb when you can. Players have done the Van Noy hit since the beginning of football. I really don’t get the outrage on it. Jerry Hughes has done it. Eh, I was a million more times more pissed about the Gronk play and lack of response than last game. Gronk’s play was one of the worst cheapshots I have ever seen.

Yup. I hated the Allen pick but I have grown to love him as a person. But he gets treated with kid gloves here. I don’t know any recent qb who has gotten as much of a pass as him. There were plenty of posters who laughed at Lamar Jackson and said he was a rb playing qb. Well, Lamar right now looks like a better passer than Allen. Allen without a doubt gets the season. He has shown improvement in the short game. But he is the highest drafted qb in Bills history. We should have higher expectations for him. Right now, he is a running qb with a cannon. He needs to be a mobile qb who wins from the pocket. IMO, it’s pretty impossible to give a fair evaluation on Rosen with the dog ? is in. I just want Allen to be more consistent.

At the same point, I wonder if McDermott is giving up the Peterman treatment since he picked him. He has no trade value.

Figured it was something less this when he disappeared for a while on social media. I can’t imagine the swing of emotions - you’re pregnant, it’s actually 4!, and now this. And it’s hard enough to do this in private but it must be really rough when you are a public figure. Just awful and prayers to his family. As a catholic, I always struggled with this part. You make good points John and I always respect your opinion. I agree that teammates love Allen and he is a good fit here. But sometimes, that stuff isn’t enough. Guys loved Fitz. Losman bought a house in Buffalo and cleaned it up. I hate being jaded but this stuff doesn’t matter if you aren’t good enough. Ive grown to love all the intangible things about Allen but the word potential sucks. All it means is you haven’t done anything yet. With Allen’s skills, he should have dominated his college conference. For as good as he is as a runner, his passing numbers are pretty terrible for his career. I liked what what I saw in the first few games with him taking the short throws. I just want to have a game where the d isn’t dominant and Allen just has to win it. But this team should be competing for the playoffs this year and Allen will get some chances to produce in some big spots. And I will always love the Pegulas, especially you Kim ?. But they have made some very curious decisions. But I’m confident that they will get there and their hearts are in the right place.

Yeah, these stats comparison from 30 years ago are kinda insane. It also is insane how quickly we judge nfl qbs, the hardest position in sports. But given the rules and how much nfl offenses are like college ones, the transition has never been easier. I think 2 years should give you a good idea if someone is the guy or not.
