Antonio Brown RELEASED, signed by PATS
C.Biscuit97 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has Belichick and Brady. It’s a different world. AB would have lost his mind the first time Allen overthrown him (if he wanted to go to Buffalo in the first place). NE is a completely different animal. They have the wins and the qb. They don’t need you. Bad or average teams needed AB. That’s a bad mix. -

Now that’s funny. Carr won’t be their qb next year though. -

We’ve been over it bro. If AB wanted to here, he’d be here a nice salary. Agree to disagree. This is the same regime that traded two picks for KB after seeing what a fatty he was on Carolina. They make mistakes. And lucky, because AB didn’t want to come here, they avoided another on. https://buffalonews.com/2019/03/26/antonio-brown-buffalo-bills-trade-nfl-pittsburgh-steelers-boomin-experience-podcast/ ”Brown clearly didn’t think the Bills, with quarterback Josh Allen, were a good enough team for him to consider. Rosenhaus tells Brown on the audio of the phone call: “Like when the Bills called me today, and they said if we make the trade what are you guys looking for? And I wouldn’t even give them a number because I know you’d rather not go there.” “Yeah, don’t even waste time,” Brown replied. “I really want you to have a good quarterback and to be in a ... winning environment, man,” Rosenhaus tells his client. “New England and Philadelphia, these are two of the last Super Bowl champs, you know? “I wouldn’t rule Oakland out, but I don’t want to get your hopes up,” Rosenhaus said. “We want to make sure we go to a team we want to play for.”” -

Why do you insist on comparing the Bills to the Pats? I love this team and hate the Pats, but we’re in different leagues right now. When you win 6 SBs, players buy into your culture more and you get the benefit of the doubt. BB has made a ton of bad moves but they always end up winning in the end. The Bills don’t have that luxury yet. For thr record, I don’t think Beane is a dumb guy. I think he is dumb for pursuing this idiot in the first place. Besides the Raiders, a dumb team, I missed all the other teams reported to be close to a trade for Brown. Whatever, we dodged a nuke but we wanted that nuke in the first place. -

Part of me think this is absolutely hilarious. Another part feels bad because we are laughing at a mentally ill person. I genuinely think he just thinks he’s going to get another huge paycheck and it’s only a matter of time, -

He definitely copy and pasted that from his agent. He is definitely one of those people who has never been told how stupid or wrong they are enough. They go through life thinking it’s always someone else’s fault. thank god thise type of people never get any real power. They are extremely dangerous. -

I would definitely put the GM who has gone 15-17 and has Josh Allen on the same level as BB, 6 super bowls, and Tom Brady. Totally same situation. and at this point, I hope they sign him. They were probably going to win the SB anyways. AB might be the one thing that can stop them. And if AB ends up destroying the Pats, this was a genius plan, -
Ryan Clark said this years ago and got trashed for it. He said money made him a monster. He was a 6th round pick who made himself into a star. I genuinely like the guy. But fame can be awful for some people. He reminds of another guy who consistently says stupid stuff. Why don’t someone stoping him?

That’s fair but AB is another level. When the talk of getting him was being discussed, I thought if he couldn’t be happy in Pittsburgh, why would he be happy in Buffalo? i will say there are a lot of people who owe Mike Tomlin and the Steelers an apology. It’s amazing he was able to keep this maniac in line this long.

I just like consistency and I hate double standards. Like laughing at the Raiders when we wanted the same player. And i love Bills but we’re completely delusional. It’s what makes us awesome. As much as I try to be a realist, I will have some beers tomorrow and talk myself into a super bowl run this year.

Because they preached all this culture BS and them even thinking about him just shows why it is BS. I hope you are all right about McBeane. But I don’t remember a regime in recent Bills history that gets as much of a pass as them. They have made some really bad moves (as well as good ones) and AB very easily could be here. But whatever. Just fun to kill time with this soap opera. Game time and I still wish we had a non crazy number 1 receiver.

I think you’re 100% wrong and it’s the exact opposite of what you said. But we’ll agree to disagree Doc (Beane got wind of AB being upset and didn’t offer a contract). I never wanted the guy and hated that they preached culture and character and pursued this moron in the first place. Seems insane. But enjoy your Saturday and hopefully, we are talking about A Bills W tomorrow.

If AB said I’m excited to come to Buffalo and I think Allen will be BigBen, he’d be here. It’s ok to take off the homer hat because he laughed at coming to Buffalo and the deal blew up. Its like some of you are so sensitive that you are pretending the “gods” McBeane weren’t dumb enough to pursue this idiot in the first place. Hey, best thing that happen to the Pats is picking a qb in the 6th round. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.
