  1. Well, Kupp isn’t a number 1 receiver and won’t get paid like one. And it’s insane to even compare Evans to Cooper. He hasn’t had one 1,200 yard season or double digit td season while Evans has had 3 and 2 double digit td seasons. Evans also helped the other TB receivers blow up. if Evans was on the market, I’d pay him in a second. But I don’t see Cooper as that type of play. Plenty of talent but he just disappears. Cooper is close to Lee Evans at this point than Mike Evans.
  2. Carr gets you no where. He’s in the Tannehill, Dalton, etc. group. You might have a drop off for a season but you aren’t winning big with those guys. I think Jimmy G is also in the group but it’s a little early to give up on him yet. my hope is after next year, we know for sure what group Allen is in. It’s sucks to be in the Carr group as a fan. It could be worse but you’re just stuck. Shannhan is in the top 3 of designing plays. He takes nobodies at RBs and make them into stars. Imo, Brady would be an upgrade over Jimmy G in SF.
  3. Yeah. It’s pretty obvious. He’s gets to pretend to go through the recruitment process and finally get a big deal from the Pats. as much as we hate him, the dude loves football. I have no idea why he’s still even playing
  4. We signed Trent Murphy.
  5. Why? Sign BRADY to a 2 year deal, draft a guy, and have them learn under him. Would there be a better learning experience for a young guy?
  6. You have to look way deeper than just his final numbers. The key to greatness is being consistent. He had 3 100 games, including a 200 plus one. He also had games of 0!, 3!, 19, & 24. He’s been like that his whole career. Dude is wack a mole and he’s going to get insane money for very inconsistent production. I don’t think it’s going to matter because plastic face Jones will re-sign him. But while he’s super talented, I’ve never been a fan of such inconsistent players.
  7. He disappears way too much for a guy who is going to get paid what he is going to get paid.
  8. I see the mentor point but when Gore is getting more work in a playoff game than DS, that’s a problem. Yeah, some things they do offensively make no sense. They sign veteran rbs, which are the easiest position to find. Yet, they go into last year with Peterman and Allen.
  9. Yeah, his stats aren’t bad but he is in a great situation where a lot of guys would put up good stats. I think it would be absolutely hilarious if he goes to SF. I would love to see who has the better year without each other: Brady or Belichick. I mean Brady isn’t what he was but I think people are kinda overrating how “bad” he was. NE’s skill players kinda sucked last year. He was awesome twice against Arizona and really good against NO. Other than That, he was kinda replacement level. He doesn’t suck and certainly is a starter. But they can upgrade.
  10. Wait, you’re against this trade for the Bills??? This place is wild. Minny will need to throw some extra picks in. It won’t be easy to replace an edge setter/ venison provider like Trent.
  11. I have never been more than I was on Manziel. He played in a system where every qb puts up sick numbers and would just run around behind 2 1st round OTs and throw jump balls to a top 5 6’5” nfl receiver. I think his partying only mask the fact he was never going to be good enough. I think Claypool is still fairly raw and got better every game. He is legit and a perfect compliment to our offense.
  12. Why in the world would Minnesota do this? I do enjoy trades that only benefit the Bills though.
  13. Your receiving core should be a basketball team. We have a couple of quick guards, possibly a center in Knox, now we need power and small forwards. we need a guy who in a one on one matchup can just win with his size.
  14. I still argue on a better passing team and with better health, Watkins is a top 5 receiver. But yeah, trading up for a player in a dependent position like receiver in a deep class is a bad move. the thing I love about this draft is if Allen is the real deal, we could get a guy late in the 1st or 2nd who could outperform a high 1st rounder.
  15. They didn’t put up his number with superior physical tools. The second Andy Reid moved up for him, everyone should have known it was a great pick.
  16. Wait a top 10 pick qb is getting scrutinized? Welcome to the nfl. It’s only going to get worse because with the league rules, young qbs are expected to succeed right away. Teams need to see it right away or they move on. Mahomes also had 99 tds and over 10,000 total yards in his last 2 seasons of college. As time passes, Mahomes lasting as long as he did looks ever dumber.
  17. Milano was a great pick. I do worry that the size might make him struggle with staying healthy. But it’s a great pick. as far as him not getting league recognition, I think that’s more of his position. How many fringe pro bowl OLBs do you know in the league? I love the nfl but there are some guys in that category I wouldn’t hear of. Man, that would be a tough decision. I love him but if I’m being honest, I don’t love the idea of paying him that much. That’s a position that can be filled fairly easily if you have a good d line.
  18. The term ceiling is so overrated. What does it even mean? It’s why scrubs like Christian Hackenberg and Jake Locker get drafted high. “Ceilings” make teams do a lot of dumb things. I don’t think most people think he’s bad. I think he’s definitely proven he’s a nfl qb. I think the main question is whether he will ever been consistent enough to be a top end starter.
  19. I agree with a lot of those post. At the same point, how many teams are drafting a project qb in the top 10 and how often does it work out? That’s always been my concern with the Allen pick. If he becomes a high end starting qb, he is the definition of a complete outliner and the Bills are smarter than what the vast majority of history has demonstrated. I have never questioned his work ethic or character. But how many times have a small conference qb who wasn’t even first or 2nd team in their conference become a good NFL starting qb? If McBean really nails this Allen pick, they should get a statue. allen is in the territory of a lot of 3rd year qbs, especially ones who play with a good to great defense. So now we see if he’s more Russell Wilson, Brady, or Big Ben or is he’s Mitchell, Bortles, or Sanchez. I think with our schedule this year, we should have a good indication one way or the other.
  20. I was agreeing with a lot of your post but you have some weird hatred for Cam. He is loved by his teammates. The people who dislike him are older fans.
  21. Thanks for the grown up response. I don’t think he would say he was behind where he would be though but you make some good points. And Allen has shown flashes of dominance but it hasn’t been substantiated through a full game, except perhaps the Miami games. He definitely dominates Miami. and hap makes a good point about the fear of interceptions possibly affecting the deep ball. Part of me wants them to just like Allen let it rip and see if can carry us (the definition of a franchise qb). But I guess the other part is that could lead to more ints which could affect winning.
  22. Grown men whining about a once a year halftime show. ?
  23. Agree that is very important but you need to think of your wrs as a basketball team. We already have The small quick guard types. We need a power forward and center type opposite them. And they should add another guy as well.
  24. I definitely agree with this. EJ was terribly developed but I do think he was too nice of a guy and played like a robot. One thing I don’t question about Allen is his attitude. For better or worse, he is going to try to win every play. I think EJ would have been a much better qb if he had Allen’s attitude.
