I will say there was a time If you told me that if sports was going away for months, I don’t know if I would have made it. But I didn’t miss it nearly as much as I thought I would. that said, I didn’t have to miss the Bills and that’s a whole different level. I couldn’t imagine not having the Bills.

I think if you are more upset by social justice and silent protesting than domestic violence, your values are badly misaligned. Like if the NfL did stuff for woman’s rights or gay rights, even though I’m not either of those things, I can’t imagine how in the world that would bother me. It’s insane that it would. I saw a text to the guitarist of Rage Against the machine who didn’t like him getting “political” all of a sudden.

I know plenty of people who genuinely don’t want sports to get political either way because it is their escape and I totally respect that. i also know some trash human being you are racist scum who love football yet hate the people that play it. So I don’t have any problem with that trash getting weeded out. They can go watch bowling.

Why? So all the weirdos there can gang up on me because I don’t the same view as that echo chamber? This whole thread is political but there has been zero name calling and has been civil. I know it’s a wild concept in our country that that becomes dumber by the day, but you can have rational conversations with people who don’t have the same opinion as you.

I would have stop watching the Bills if they drafted Mixon. I would have stopped if they signed Vick. I also didn’t draft Mixon in fantasy because of character concerns. 😉

I do respect that point. I also think there are a lot of terrible people who watch football who are racist and make the world worse everyday. The NFL would be better off without them.

I just think it’s disingenuous that people were upset about Kaep taking a knee than Joe Mixon breaking a woman’s jaw. I think there are a lot of phony patriots and I would have quit the Bills if they drafted Mixon. I’m weird and think domestic violence is worse than silent protesting, which is what our country is founded on. I also missed all the patriotic fans calling out other fans for going to the bathroom, getting beers, and talking during the anthem before CK. It’s funny to me that some of the most “patriotic” fans don’t realize they are just pawns by politicians who are pandering to them for votes. if Incognito wanted to take a knee for the orange thing, I won’t care. But it does bother me more than the guy is a trash person who got arrested for threatening to beat up his grandmother, throw weights at people in a gym, and threaten to shoot up a funeral home. Again, missed the outrage on him getting another contract.

For an offense that average less than 300 yards and 19 points last year, that would be a great start. im pretty sure the Jets suck and not worried about the defense in the slightest but I need to see it from the offense first. Agreed. Also, unless you have a young coach you want to see if they are potential head coach, why even do it mid season? In fact if your season is going down the drain, why not keep the bad head coach to get a high draft pick? Sometimes you change coaches and you get a lucky win that ruins your draft slot. EJ probably wasn’t good enough but the Bills make sure he won’t be. I was wonder about the bills doing the same with Allen but they got it together nicely.

I just think since he didn’t smile on Draft day so many just choose not to like him. I mean the Pats, who don’t pay anyone, gave him a ton of money. There is zero reason why Hogan should be a starting receiver at this point of his career. They have no speed at receiver. I think they crowd the line, shut down Bell, and dare the Jets to beat them deep in man to man coverage.

I always thought it was funny that Fitz is from Harvard (don’t know if you know that!) but he played the exact opposite way. Made some terrible decisions and would lead block on runs. if Fitz had a real arm, he would have been a top 10 qb. Still had a career better than 85% of qbs.

Whaley didn’t get too shots. And I would argue this roster is almost exactly like the 2014 one. If that 2014/2015 team had a legit franchise guy, they were SB contenders. and this is a long way off but the idea that a GM should get two shots at missing on a qb seems crazy. But hopefully Allen is the guy and then we extend Beane. But it’s crazy to rush it at this point.

Good point but I think they put that pick mainly on Billick since he was the offensive “guru.” He also went 19th. Also, I believe Ozzie already had a SB by that point. so not exactly apples to apples but good counter. I just don’t get the rush. I just have a hard time seeing Beane not willing to sign an extension towards the end of season once we know how good this team is.

Why do they even bother with QBs being captains? Allen is a good leader but every team, except Michigan State when they had Connor Douche Cool, names qbs captains. but we have a good group of leaders on this team.

Who cares? Should the Bears GM get another shot after Mitch T because he’s buddies with the coach? i agree Beane has done a good job but no matter how we try to make this, it’s all about QB. To miss on the highest drafted qb would be a huge miss. The 2015 roster was awesome but Whaley couldn’t find a franchise qb. if Allen gets off to a good start, extend Beane. But I don’t know why you want to rush it. Higher cost of living in LA. 😎 but yeah, this deal looks really dumb. Another reason not to rush an extension for Beane. Things change quickly in the nfl.
