  1. The problem with our country again is it’s the loudest idiots making the most noise. No cop should get killed for doing their job. All their lives matter. but when a black man gets killed for selling cigarettes while a loser incel with a bowl cut who massacred a black church group gets picked up by the cops and taken to Burger King, that kinda seems a bit uneven. I definitely agree with that. News and social media are awful. Twitter, while it has some great things, gives a voice to people who shouldn’t have a voice.
  2. Fair points but I think what LeBron and other athletes are saying is that they weren’t in their position, that could be them. Plenty of non-criminal black men have been hassled by the police for fitting a description. here is a story of a nba player who had his leg broken by the NYPD. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/sport/2017/apr/06/nba-star-thabo-sefolosha-nypd-lawsuit Like everything, a few bad apples makes the majority look bad. But for too long, a lot of bad cops were able to do bad things unchecked. Hopefully, that is changing because being a police officer is one of the most noble professions there is. I’d definitely describe the guy born to a 15 year old mother in poverty, who has never been in legal trouble in his life, who has built almost a billion dollar empire with his friends and family, who married his high school sweetheart and is a great dad, while building schools in his hometown, loathsom. Great call. the funniest thing is that people who hate on LeBron probably love a dude who has everything handed to him while being married numerous times.
  3. Completely terrible as well and I’m glad that idiot got taken out. but it’s unfortunately two different things. When you sign up to be an officer, you know the risk. That’s why they are held to a higher standard than a lot of the garbage they deal with. You can’t just make mistakes as a police officer. That’s the main message people are saying. And if they do make those mistakes, they need to be held accountable, which the overwhelmingly amount of the time they are not. I think every rational person knows how important police are so it’s a weird thing to try to politicize.
  4. Yeah, I don’t really get what the opposite side of this is. Pro racism? And while I do get some of the I don’t want politics in sports argument (my ex’s dad was like that and he was just a great dude who was sick of all political bs), politics has always been a part of sports. these guys have the highest platform to bring awareness to problems in their communities. The easy thing for them is to not say a word and make millions of dollars. I love it when people compare their occupations to a billionaire dollar industry where the workerS get to the top 1% of their profession solely based on merit.
  5. Can’t disagree with that at all. I think we overestimate how much some players love football. For an Alabama kid, winning the title for them, is probably the highlight of his football career. It was probably all down hill after that. He got paid and that was it. but as you said, he had a motor like Kyle Williams, he would be a HOFer.
  6. You mean the Dallas police who just has one of their officers execute a black man for the crime of being in his own apartment???
  7. I could see Rivers having a nice year. They have one of their best o lines in the nfl and have some good rbs and a solid d. that said, he will throw crucial INT at the worst times. He’s the more talented version of Fitz.
  8. Allen is a good fantasy qb because of the rushing. I drafted Diggs in one league and debated keeping him in a keeper league but I just don’t know if he gets the volume. And Moss is the reason I didn’t keep DS in the same keeper league. I was so excited about picking him last year too but Moss is going to kill his value.
  9. I’d put $100 on less than 12 wins and I’d love to pay you. Deal?
  10. It’s so weird that so many fans like buying players drinks. With Kim 🥰, I will pretend to pull out my wallet while she grabs the check and I’ll ask if she’s sure. Then she will reply, “don’t worry, Terry has it” and then she winks at me with her lips puckered out.
  11. Just don’t bring a defensive back! and I’m definitely taking Kim. 🥰 I would own the Bills in a month.
  12. Yeah, Nick Saban is known for running a loose ship. My hands look huge in their little hands. I know you’re kidding but I don’t trust anyone with dirty nails.
  13. Making a call. Going to end up with Margot Robbie before the end of the year to honor my cat who passed away. Rest in Paradise Misty.
  14. What a stupid thread. Maybe we should wait until our current qb averages more passing yards than Tyrod did when he was here. i was more than ready to move on from Tyrod but this is just garbage and salty. He is a good guy, decent if unspectacular qb, and helped us end the drought. Why trash him? It’s so weird the double standards people have here. We just had the 23th ranked scoring offense and people are ready to build a statue. Yet, we have a thread trashing the guy who helped us get a 10 and 12th ranked scoring offense. It’s like some people are trapped in some weird echo chamber with the Bills. He’s actually above .500. He is a slightly worse version of Alex Smith. Why he gets trashed is weird to me. And I was hardly a big fan of his.
  15. Equality = political sideshow thank god some of you weren’t alive for Jackie Robinson!!!
  16. I don’t agree at all. I’m a fan of Stanford and that dude would be a monster anywhere. He’s a beast and the perfect RB for today’s nfl. Barkley is also perfect and I would give him a max deal too.
  17. I mean If college football, especially the SEC did this, there would be no sports for snowflakes to watch. I love football and would hate missing a week but this is how you get people to listen. And this is why our country is in the shape it is in. I like to believe most people are in the in between category but you don’t really get a choice for that anymore. It’s pathetic.
  18. Agreed. And you basically can just run him into the ground. I loved Moss in college but he has to prove it and DS will be best if they are smart about his touches. that said, how good is LF? I never was a huge fan because he got a ton of Carries in college and seems like a rb from a different era. But definitely still worth checking in on. Just curious why you say that? I won’t say it’s a big need but this are the type of moves you make when you have really high hopes.
  19. So you don’t think having your mom, dad, grandparents, mentor/coach, and his brother murdered might have an effect on you? I would mess me up. I just had a couple close people pass away and it’s insane to thing it doesn’t effect you. but that said, he did have a chance to prove how much football meant to him and he didn’t. Honestly, I think he just cared about Alabama and getting a pay day. I know some fans don’t want to hear it, but pro football is just a job to some of these players. Football is a grind. He got paid and checked out. It’s sucks because I truly believe with a better mindset, he had hall of games ability.
  20. Yet they paid Tayson Hill $21 million! Kamara has become a bit overrated but he is one of the most versatile backs in the game and should be good for a while Disagree. At absolute worst, he would be arguably the best slot receiver in the nfl. All around backs still have good value.
  21. Also, devastating upper cut for females.
  22. It definitely feels so strange. It’s hard to get as fired up without seeing any games. but once the games start, it will feel real. I think whoever wins this year should get 2 championships. I’m prepared for anything
  23. I’m sure there will be a lot of “I’m done with the NFL” after this extension! stiff like this makes you wonder if karma is real.
  24. Not really apples to apples is it John? What do you think Newton’s value was after his first 2 years in the league? and we should hope Allen turns out to be close to as good as Cam. He carried some crap offenses and put his body in the line to do it. I hate that he is in NE because if healthy, he is a huge upgrade over what they were going to have. You have to earn respect. Some of act like we won the SB last year. We went 10-6 against a soft schedule. I believe everyone thinks our defense is 100% legit and one of the best in the league. But people have questions about our offense and rightfully so. The best part is they get to prove in a couple of weeks.
