I still think he was legit good. Just his own worst enemy. In fairness, Washington destroyed him that year. I think if he was coming into the nfl in a good situation, he could be really successful. He was awesome that year until he blew out his knee.

Did Barkley start a cult while he was here? Did we ever do this for a backup qb? Nice guy for sure but this is wild. Hell, Tyrod helped take us end our playoff drought and he got crapped on (still by some fans) and Barkley is thrown a parade. It’s weird.

With all due respect, I completely disagree. Because if that was true, why aren’t the Jets and Giants better? Why doesn’t Miami and LA get every FA? In the nfl, that stuff doesn’t matter as much as in other sports. it’s about money, winning, and I believe a qb. Then it’s all that other stuff but that’s far down the list. Players’ careers are too short to think that they can only go to the biggest market or best party scene. Also, and I believe it rarely happens, if we lost a player to Miami or NYc (which again, never happens) because of other factors, is that even a player we want anyways? Yeah, now that hate on Goff has gone way too far. I love the Mitch pickup but qbs wins is such a stupid stat. How many starting level qbs won’t have had a lot of wins on that Playoff bears team? Deshaun Massage had 4 wins last year. I’m guessing if he was on the Bears instead of Mitch, they might have won the SB that year. Such a flawed stat.

I don’t, especially if Watkins is healthy. Small gadget players are a dime a dozen. Watkins would be our fastest receiver (again if he healthy, which is always a concern with him).

He would have led us in tds last year. He also had 13 catches and 157 yards. I think the hate on this guy has gone way too far. People act like he’s some serial killer and he’s a bum. He’s a good player who did so dumb dances. If he grew up from that, he’s a tough physical receiver I’d take on this team in a second. Come on man. This is hyperbole. He averages 925 yards/ season (including a season with complete trash at qb). He’s not elite but he is far from trash.

Could be a monster in the red zone. Besides David, we have small receivers and you saw in the playoffs teams can get physical with them. A big target in the middle of the field would have helped a ton. not giving up on Knox completely but this is by far the worst group (rbs is close) on the team.

I really don’t know what rookie would have been successful in Arizona. And the Miami situation was a joke and Fitz showed this year again that he is better than most young qbs. If Allen had to do an open competition against Fitz as a rookie, he probably would have struggled to outplay Fitz (obviously Allen is at a different level now).

Haha, I guess that’s true. Huge difference is what Sammy would get compared to Clowney. I think Clowney still thinks he is one of the best defensive players in the nfl. I like to think Sammy is a little more realistic in his value at this point. And hopefully he stays away from St Frannies grads. They were a bad influence on him!

It’s so weird how different men and women are. I don’t care how famous or rich a woman is, it doesn’t make her more attractive. They talk about David Spade killing it in Hollywood and he’s like 5’3”. and Louis CK’s stuff was so freaking weird.
