  1. People in the region are so bitter over this. There's no obvious nicknames like Caps, Nats or the Wiz.
  2. Pretty crazy how this story hits the fan the day of Brady’s retirement. That’s now second page news, and of course Super Bowl festivities with all the NFL parties, etc.. what amazing timing for this sordid story to hit. And all this interview stuff rubbed me the wrong way when the Bills coaches were being interviewed in the middle of their playoff game preparations. Josh picked a great week to blow off NFL Pro Bowl stuff and go golfing .
  3. This sure sucked the oxygen out of the Tom Brady- retirement story today.
  4. I still can't get over the still picture image of Kelce running up the seam on the play just before the tying FG. He's wide friggin open,,,just uncovered. And Mahomes has a grand canyon sized throwing lane to toss him the ball. The defense really galls me on in those final seconds much more than the lack of squib kick.
  5. To the OP, they aren't going to win every game. They are going to have a bad game here and there, and may lose focus for a time. That's the NFL. The key is to get hot after Thanksgiving or early Dec. and start stacking wins. You want to get to the playoffs on a roll like they did this year.
  6. After two games, Allen was in the Top-5 playoff QB post season performances in the entire history of the SB era. And of the 5, he's the only one to NOT make the Super Bowl in that season (3 of the other 4 won it). That just goes to show how badly McD and Frazier eff'd up. Probably cost Allen his Lombardi trophy. As much as people want to say he will win it next year or whatever, it will be very difficult for Allen to reach that high level again, vs playoff teams. This was the year. Wasted.
  7. I'm not agreeing that Allen will definitively have a regression next season...but i did take away something from Beane's presser. He indicated that they tried to dial back some of his running during the season to save his body. It was short lived as Buffalo was scrambling to lock in the playoffs, win the division in the final 5-6 games and Josh started running again like crazy. Then in the playoffs he said anything goes to try to win the games. I just think there will be a bigger emphasis on Josh to either run out of bounds or throw the ball away in 2022. Wouldn't be surprised if his stats are less impressive.
  8. Payton is pointing out the obvious, but that's fine. McD and Frazier acted like a couple of clueless rookie coaches in the final seconds of that game. It's just awful and cost the Bills and Josh Allen a possible Lombardi trophy. It's so incredibly difficult to get back to that point, and we were there...and the game was blown.
  9. Why am i suddenly feeling insecure that Buffalo is not that hot of a destination. Come to think of it, it can’t be all that fun to hang out on the sidelines in 40mph gusts or rain/snow going sideways. Although coaching/playing in NJ isn’t exactly South Florida either.
  10. I did not realize that the Bengals are the only northern climate team that does not have an indoor practice facility. The ownership cheapness is legendary. But hey, they made it.
  11. The Bengals are the hottest team in January and that’s indisputable. (despite the gawdy stats put up by Allen it’s a team game, all three phases).
  12. Something i noticed while watching the 2nd half highlights.. not only was Mahomes blowing off some easy yards (not) scrambling... Kelce was loafing around and barely trying to get open on some of the plays when Mahomes was desperate to get rid of the ball. I mean against Buffalo these guys were so sharp and easily creating space. Cinci flustered them so much.. credit to them.
  13. Winning at Tennessee was gutsy. Bills did not win at KC and i'm not so sure they would have won a rematch at Tenn. Our D against good teams was not lockdown quality.
  14. I loved the way Cinci handled the OT. Sure KC tied it on a final play FG. Sure KC won the coin toss, and all the Arrowhead fans roared as if they won the game right there. But Cincinnati covered the kickoff, then punched KC right in the mouth...3 and out (final play being an INT). Goodnight Chiefs. That was handled so professionally by the CInci coaches and defensive players. I was envious.
  15. He'd never say anything publicly...but I wonder if Allen harbors any ill feelings towards the Special teams/Defense coaches...and even McDermott. It was such a big flop at the end. The "process" failed. Plus even in Overtime, the D never put up any resistance. I mean as much as we cry about the last 13 seconds, the D still had overtime to make things right.. and they stunk. If I'm Allen, i'd be pissed.
  16. That last 30:05 of the game was so weird. I did notice that Mahomes had chances to run, and yet he'd spin around and run backwards instead. He looked really slow and his arm looked weak. Contrast that to the Buffalo game when he looked really fast and his arm was strong and deadly. Clearly the matchups matter. KC matches up well with Buffalo, they do not match up well with Cinci.
  17. The Bengals doubled down on their first half, and continued to drop 8 into coverage in the 2nd half. I get the feeling Buffalo could have dropped 10 into coverage and KC still would have had Kelce/Hill running wide open.
  18. Cinci hung on to beat Vegas, The beat #1 Tenn at their house despite 9 sacks against, and they played unbelievable 2nd half defense to win at KC. There's zero chance Buffalo could have made Mahomes that uncomfortable, so props to Cincinnati. If they can go in to LA and win another game on the Rams home field, they deserve the Super Bowl for sure. They are having a magical run... sprinkled with a little bit of luck here and there.
  19. I agree the end of the first half rattled Mahomes. Second half he missed simple swing passes and out patterns, he resorted to scrambling backwards on a few ill advised pass attempts. He floated balls over guys heads. The Bengals made him super uncomfortable after halftime. Credit to them. Buffalo was never able to do that to Mahomes, and our D plays soft ass coverages giving them so much respect.
  20. Rams and Bengals D today showed you how to close a game the eff out!!
  21. Burrow is touched by a little bit of magic, he just is. The best college season i’ve ever seen by a QB and a Championship. Now he’s not even playing as well as he’s capable of, but still in the SB. Joey B has the IT factor.
  22. Once again, the Bills lose the week before the Chiefs and Mahomes get figured out and go into the crapper (vs Tampa and now Cinci). Frustrating to say the least.
  23. He is shining. the downfall is that our D hasn’t matched up to KC in the playoffs 2 straight years
  24. The bizarre thing is, Josh Allen went out a hero last week. Pretty unusual when your team loses. But he’s only remembered for his amazingness in that game while Mahomes is remembered for stinking up Arrowhead in his final game.
  25. 49ers got lucky with some Rams drops. but man, their pass rush is fierce. Stafford taking a beating
