I feel the same about the D line.... then you look at the box score and the D as a whole gave up 397 total yards, 53% 3rd down conversions and forced zero takeaways. They really are no match at the 2nd and 3rd levels for for Burrows quick release, accuracy and decision making.

Random talking head says something about the Bills
zow2 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cowherd featured the Bills on his monologue today. Said McDermott has showed his ceiling. Compares him to Chuck Knox and Marty Schottenheimer. Credits McD for organizing things and getting Bills on the right track but he's not a visionary, no run game AGAIN, and the Bills are not really good at anything. Can't believe with Josh Allen we are one game ahead of the pathetic Raiders and behind Zach Wilson. He strongly suggests the Bills move off him and in a different direction. Let's remember, when Rex Ryan was here before the drought ended the Bills actually had the #1 rushing attack in the NFL for 2 straight years. Kinda' crazy. Obviously we could not keep that going with McD and Allen. -
Building opinion that Josh is not committed to the Bills/football?

Stands to reason that Mahomes, Brady, Rogers...are better at golf too. and they've won SB's. -

I've often wondered if he is going to announce leaving football to pursue a career in golf. Scares me but it has crossed my mind. In all seriousness, he probably realizes that his dream of winning a SB in Buffalo is getting further and further away. I don't think he ever fully recovered from leaving the field a winner and then 13 seconds happened. He was in a QB zone the likes we've never seen and the man never saw the ball again. -
Gabe is not even serviceable at this point. Forget being a WR2. He was a one trick pony for a while, just send him on deep pattern and maybe you'd hit one. But now he's become very easy to cover and he is not on the same page as Allen all too often.

Why does Buffalo carry running backs on their roster?
zow2 replied to The Helmet of's topic in The Stadium Wall
Makes me laugh that people actually thought James Cook would be the bell cow RB for this club. He's pretty much a change of pace slippery RB and screen check down player. -
Josh has become mentally fragile this season. The low energy vibe stuff is really stupid. He needs to dump that and remember how he approached games as a younger Josh Allen. He can do the same things just be more responsible with his body when he runs.

A couple weeks ago there was a story mentioned on ESPN about Joe Burrow's parents being in Cincinnati between games and calling Joe for a visit. He reportedly turned them down and said he didn't have time and needed to concentrate on the upcoming game. So he blew his parents off. That's a douchey move imo. Seeing the link made me thing of that! ESPN made it sound like Joe is so laser focused on football and wanting to be the best, that's all.

He was a little more effective on the bull rush up the middle last night,,, but around the edge he's slow and easily pushed way behind the QB. He's no factor and I've been saying for weeks he should be inactive. Can't believe the Bills are trying to rehab a guy in live games.

I've been hesitant to call out for firing McD. But maybe it's time. I mean you cannot go and replace him with someone like Todd Bowles. That's a loser move. But there are some very good O-coordinators out there looking to be the head guy... and it may be time to take a big swing with new leadership. This team has gotten stale.

IMO, Josh is not as good as the other Superstar QB's standing in the pocket and making good throws. He does tend to hang on too long and the pocket caves. He's not a great thinker, he's an instincts QB. So he's much better than most, however, at moving around, throwing on the run, or running decisively. That should be his game. And it's an admission of failure that in several games, we see the offensive plan blown up and Josh saying the hell with it I'm gonna run and play on instincts.. and then they do well. If not for the Kincaid fumble, I think Buffalo may have tied that game up late. And on another note, all this low-energy vibe stuff is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Just play the game and be into it. It's just weird seeing him sit on the bench stone faced. He never used to do that. It's probably an extension of tight ass McDermott never keeping the room loose.

Dorsey is underachieving massively and should be let go. McDermott appears to be the classic case of a coach that turned things around, changed the culture, but has taken the team as far as he can, and now they are in regression. It's a tough deal for Pegula and Beane, but while Josh Allen is still in his prime they should give someone else a shot at finishing the job of winning a SB, before it's too late.

The best thing they can say about the Bills this morning on all the TV sports shows is that Damar Hamlin is Ok. And that's all good. Most are saying the Bills window has shut, start over. Look to retool next season.

They are flat because the head coach is flat and they’ve tuned him out
-
but now they suck at winning some games they're predicted to lose. And they have 4 or 5 of those games coming up. Can they win ANY of them? What's happening here?!? We have Josh Allen and Diggs for goodness sakes. This coaching staff stinks. They are not getting the best out of this roster. I need to see Josh playing with urgency going forward. He’s just not that good standing in the pocket surveying the field, waiting for it to cave in while he holds the ball too long..pat, pat, pat, sack. Josh needs to throw on the run often like he used to, or be decisive and run. Burrow can stand in the pocket and release, he sees everything fast. That's not Josh's game. And the fact we can’t run the ball against good teams is the death of the Bills every season. Our O line seems physically weaker than others teams O lines, it's weird. Most Olinemen love to get out there and run block. I'm happy the D didn't get physically dominated and they actually made Burrow feel some pain on a few plays. They did however get out schemed again. It's funny that I'm pleased the banged up D held Cincy to 24 pts while *only* getting gashed for 397 total yards and forcing no turnovers. golf clap guys.

Of every team in the league we don’t match up with the Bengals. They are patient on O and the Bills D is soft and injured a lot. Their D is always a pain to deal with and they make Buffalo drive the field and they KNOW either the Bills will make a mistake or Cinci will force one. and they did

I’m not even that mad. We don’t get totally embarrassed. The Bills are nothing special this year. I can admit it.
-
Yup. 13 seconds. That was the year. The Bills are back to being just something to watch on Sunday’s for me. I’m devoid of emotion since i know they aren’t winning anything with this particular club. And they could lose 70-3 tonight or 27-26. it’s just one loss in the standings. But they ain’t beating Philly, KC, Dallas, Miami, etc. They look terrible
-
It’s weird it seemed like Kincaid was going to fumble tonight. i told my son earlier. He gets hit hard and sometime airborne.
-
I don’t like Allen hanging out in the pocket waiting for stuff to break open and holding the ball too long. Either run and throw or just run and be decisive.
-
What the F**k is wrong with Allen tonight? just making slow decisions.
-
Does the D have any GD pride?!?
