Sounds like a good acquisition. So can he play and help against Cincinnati?
-
I think if the teams meet on a neutral field, right now, Miami is slightly better. The Bills defensive injuries swing it in their favor...and also they got Ramsey back and will get Achane back soon. and we make no trades to help.

Reports are that Rivera could be fired within a day or two. Eric Beinamy to be interim head coach, they will retool the roster via draft.

Some teams actually want to win and try to do what it takes.

Mid Season Super Bowl Predictions. Who Ya got?
zow2 replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Slightly off-topic, which matchup would be your biggest Super Bowl nightmare? Mine would be: Cincinnati vs Detroit I just would not handle it well that one of those cities would get a Lombardi before Buffalo. -
Lions letting the Raiders hang around.
-
Just give me some Jakobi Meyers and Laporta please,, to ensure my fantasy win this week.
-
Yeah i don’t need to hear anymore from Walt tonight. Keep him behind the curtain.
-
Well the Raiders do have edge rusher Malcolm Koonce, UB guy. This is an ugly uniform game. Just blah for me.

Hot take regarding McDermott and the end of games
zow2 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ha, look at that. It wasn't just my Bills colored brain that notices his demeanor. I think we all see it. Maybe Allen wouldn't have to search for a different "energy" if the coach could help him. -
Hot take regarding McDermott and the end of games

Let me nitpick at McDermott some more. Does this guy ever have a good time? He is wound so tight i think he will spontaneously combust sometimes. He never says anything in press conferences, or remotely funny. Some of these other coaches like Siriani, Mike McDaniel, Campbell, etc.. keep it pretty loose when the moment is right, even during games. Mcdermott is a tight ass. Solid coach but cmon Sean, have fun once in a while maybe it will rub off on the team. -
McD is usually pretty good in revenge game scenarios. I think he does have it circled.

By the way, I was listening to a show about Vegas NFL odds and the "3 points for home teams" is not a thing anymore. They said homefield is not the huge advantage it used to be, everything is analytical now. At best the home team nowadays gets 1.5 points towards their side. It's been a bad matchup all the way back to the 1988 AFC Championship game. I agree, we just haven't matched up well with the Bengals, especially in the big games.
-
I said the same thing after last week,,,but I do credit the Bills for winning a couple close, fairly ugly games while they "find themselves" again.
-
Orlovsky on ESPN this morning listed 5 teams in the AFC as in a class by themselves. Cinci, KC, Jax, Balt, Miami. They all agreed Buffalo is not in that class due to a banged up D and too Josh Allen dependent. That last line always cracks me up because I would argue that those other teams are VERY dependent on Burrow, Mahomes, Tua, Lamar and Lawrence.
-
If Burrow is left to be comfortable in the pocket it's over. He will either pick the Bills apart or hit some big plays over the top. Baltimore is so successful against them because they make Joey feel uncomfortable.
-
Allen and the Bills have been so good in road games over the past few years. This season has been a real struggle, including London. They have to get the road figured out. The banged up D really cost us against the Jags and Pats.
-
I tend to agree,, I think the Bills should be watching a lot of Ravens film vs Cincinnati this week to figure out how they scheme the Bengals. That being said, assuming that Burrow is healthy for the rematch I think Cinci will beat Baltimore. I think both will get in the playoffs and will be dangerous, home field or not.
-
Yeah, that's why I said at this moment. Things will change a lot. I agree about the KC defense, although they lost Nick Bolton for the next several weeks and he cannot be replaced. I was down on Jax earlier in the season but they have a low key nasty defense, and their O can move the ball on anyone with good skill players. I don't understand what happened vs Houston but they are a different team now.
-
The NFL is week to week. Three weeks ago the 49ers were penciled in as SB champs and the Bengals were thrown out. As of this moment, I think Cincinnati is the most dangerous team. I trust Burrow more than Lamar in the playoffs and both have solid D. I'd probably place KC 3rd in that list and then 4) Jax, 5) Buffalo, 6) Miami
-
I’d prefer Miami to lose and I’m glad the Chiefs are coming in off a lackluster and sloppy loss. KC will be dialed in for this despite Miami getting fortunate and not having to play at Arrowhead.
-
I sure hope Cinci blew their great game today at SF and not next Sunday night. Burrow is starting to look super accurate and dangerous. Can’t see our D stopping the Bengals. Allen and the O will need to be dialed in.

Even tho i’ve been peeved that Miami plays at Kansas City, but NOT at Arrowhead… i am very pleased that the Phins get them off a KC loss. Reid will have their full attention this week and ready. -

I think we are in trouble w Cincinnati. Not just for next week but i think they will be the best team in the AFC as playoff season looms
