  1. Pretty bad. and on the flip side anytime the opponent has a 3rd and 9 from anywhere i assume they will convert on our D
  2. Due to training camp and preseason developments, there's always one fanbase that has to feel completely hopeless going into the season. This year it's gotta be Minnesota. If nothing else, the Vikings fans were really looking forward to JJ eventually starting over Darnold, maybe sooner than later. Also, WR Jordan Addison may be suspended and TE T.J. Hockenson is not recovering all that well from knee surgery. Not to mention they have to contend with Detroit, who are no longer up and coming, they are just good. Green Bay looks ready to challenge Detroit, and Chicago has definitely gotten better across the board and look better than Minnesota on paper.
  3. I'm honestly ok with this. Trubisky definitely needs the game reps. If by some stroke of bad luck he gets injured I'm not even that worried about it. The season is toast if Allen is out for any period of time so I'm not stressing about Trubisky.
  4. The problem is, there are no sure-thing kickers just hanging around out of work. Yes, Bass missed a huge kick and a few along the way. But he still has talent and if you cut him based on that, it could be trouble. There are tons of examples. Early last season i recall Ron Rivera getting pissed with Dustin Hopkins because he missed an extra point and a couple FGs. They just cut him flat out. The Browns picked him up and he did just fine,, and then signed him to an extension 3 years nearly $16m. Meanwhile the Commanders are dying, their kicker replacements sucked.
  5. Yeah, I often see those Beef on Weck sandwiches in the plastic container at the Wegmans in Maryland. The price always turns me off, but then all their prepared lunches and dinner are pricey. One of these days I'll try it.
  6. I’m the person that started the thread last preseason that the “next tackle James Cook breaks will be his first”. Well he proved me wrong, maybe didn’t break a ton but he was slippery enough and had a nice season. I don’t like the dropsies on perfectly thrown passes but can’t kill him for dropping a couple in camp. Let’s see the real games
  7. Nah, i don't watch. I'm one of those that thinks JJ will have a better NFL career than Drake Maye.
  8. That sucks. I think he will be solid and still surprised the NYG passed him by on draft day. I get Nabers,,, but the Giants really need a QB imo and JJ was a good fit and was right there for them.
  9. I agree, i don't play him at all. Lose 30-3 I don't care. Seems like his arm is getting plenty of reps in practice and we all know what he can do.
  10. Ya just gotta hope and pray that Shakir, Samuel, Coleman, Kincaid, Knox and Cook stay healthy. Those will be the vast majority of pass catchers.
  11. Tyreek is super fast, I'd bet he'd be right there at 40 meters...but i doubt 100 meters. I would take the guy who trains day in and day out for 100 meters and has proven to beat the worlds fastest opponents.
  12. I got confused and thought DiNucci was Tommy Devito. I thought they were the same guy 😆
  13. Well, no matter how much some of the posters here want to spin it as a nothing burger, good 'ol Sean McD was pissed after the game. You could tell he was seething during points of that game. He was fairly transparent about his displeasure. Who knows...maybe getting slapped in the face will do them good. you see a team like the Bears have an urgency to get better Now, and the Bills just kinda went through the motions.
  14. Shane Buechele looked solid when he led the Kansas City Chiefs in a few preseason games in 2021-2023 (which i assume prompted the Bills to sign him). Just another example of how elite Andy Reid is at getting QBs prepared, even in vanilla preseason. For the Bills Saturday he looked terrible. My problem with Trubisky is that he's a game manager, and just an average one. He elevates nobody on offense. There's not one player on offense who will look better because Mitch is out there dialing up plays and dropping dimes on the run, because he doesn't. Last year the Bengals had that Jake Browning dude who played awesome. If Allen gets hurt for any period of time forget about it...
  15. Texans and Jags look like the AFC teams to worry about. The AFC South is rising up!
  16. Before the draft, i really came around on JJ McCarthy, I was surprised the Giants passed on him. I get that Nabers was rated right with Harrison Jr., but man the NYG needed a QB and he looked good in his first outing. He will be starting for the Vikes at some point before the halfway mark this season.
  17. Obviously we have some pass catchers...Shakir, Samuel, Kincaid, Knox, Cook...all those other WR's are a big question mark along with durability for all. Coleman looks like he can be good but he has to get ready to play through the "handsy" stuff. He's not a burner so DB's will be all over him and he will need to make plays while getting bumped around. We know Josh is going to put the ball in the pass catchers hands, let's see what they do. It would be nice to have a Tee Higgins type guy but whatever,, maybe next year.
  18. Those are the things that do matter and will carry over if not fixed. The penalties were ridiculous and we've seen this in the past with McDermott teams. For a coach that cares so much about penalties, they need to clean that up fast. The trenches matter. It's all physicality. Getting dominated on both sides of the ball in the trenches is bad. And lastly, stop giving up 3rd and longs to every Joe Schmo Quarterback. The Bills D often has trouble stopping 3rd and longs and that can't carry over.
  19. McDermott tried to hide it a bit, but you could tell at his presser after the game he was seething mad inside and disappointed in the group as a whole today. They did not represent the uniform proudly.
  20. Buechele brought a little juice but he’s lacking of pure talent, Trubisky has some talent but no juice, doesn’t elevate anyone out there. Josh, please stay healthy
  21. We know it means squat. But Preseason or not, today was a great day for the national pundits who’ve been on the “Buffalo will win 9 games and miss the playoffs” train.
  22. He was great in high school, he was Excellent in two programs in College and he will be a very good pro, maybe great. He was drafted 1 overall for a reason.
  23. Execution was terrible. Don’t mind as much since without Allen on the field the season is toast no matter which terrible backup is out there. I do care that every preseason it’s like McDermott is new to football and never coaches how to stay away from penalties. Oh and i hate getting dominated in the trenches…and also giving up every 3rd and 9 it seems. Get it together
  24. IF Allen is smart (and he is). He hands off, gets the ball out of his hand fast, doesn't run unless it's to get out of the way and run out of bounds untouched. JA has played plenty of preseason snaps in his career. He knows how to handle it safely.
  25. Yo, what about the NCAA Men's Finals Fours, The Big10 Basketball tourney, Big10 Football Championship games, the yearly NFL Combine, Olympic Trials, oh and the Super Bowl just to name a few. I won't even get into all the concerts and huge conventions. I mean yeah the Indy 500 is what that city is known for but gimme a break, that Dome brings in more big events in a year than Buffalo sees in 10 years.
