  1. But it might increase the chance of victory too. We just don’t know. In no impact weather the Steelers may have slinged the ball all over the place. They have some good receivers, Rudolph is playing well and he’s accurate.
  2. The NFL is an entertainment show. The ultimate reality TV. Of course they wanted Allen in.
  3. It is bizzaro, and then the County Exec puts out that communication about no unnecessary travel, but ignores any mention of the Bills game. All i can think is that the NFL league office uses a different meteorologist than the rest of the country. and they think the conditions won’t be as bad as advertised.
  4. I’m exhausted from reading about, worrying and obsessing about the weather Lol. Can’t wait until this game is over to be honest. Win or lose this leading up “process” is a grind. I know i can just shut down the app and ignore it all but i have to see it through 😂
  5. The snow band is the big problem. The latest i’ve seen has the band up in the northern Erie and Niagara county early Sunday morning. But it starts shifting back towards Buffalo and OP by later in the morning and pretty much over the stadium areas during the start , slowly moving more southward. So maybe the late 3rd and 4th Qtrs has less snow and better visibility
  6. It’s great to have built in excuses. If they lose on Sunday, the masses will say the terrible weather was the great equalizer. We wouldve won by 30 in normal conditions. If they moved the game to Monday and the Bills get blown up by Rudolph to Pickens, the narrative will be that we should’ve played Sunday in “Buffalo weather”. We would have stuffed them if the Steelers could only run the ball.
  7. Checked the board and most flights into BUF today are already cancelled. Except a few Delta and an American. But those will probably be cancelled later. No airline wants their planes stuck here. It will be tough to land for sure.
  8. I just got an emergency weather alert on my phone for Sat and Sun. Winter Storm. Heavy snow. Unsafe road conditions, limit travel.
  9. True, but with that forecast, you know this game would’ve been pushed back already if it were in any other NFL city. We do know the risks, and it’s scary as hell driving in lake effect without the high winds as an added bonus. Best case scenario i’m sure the NFL is praying for is that the snow band sets up south or north of the stadium leading up to and during the game. We can only hope. Playing in wind and cold in no big deal.
  10. So the NFL, County and State… by holding this game at 1pm are encouraging fans to drive in it. That’s absurd and dangerous. If these are the conditions leading up to and after the game there’s going to be a ton of stranded people and emergency situations going on.
  11. Ha, The Weather Channel just had a 5 minute segment about the game Sunday. They are so hyped up about the weather impacts. I also learned that Highmark is the 2nd windiest stadium in the NFL. Who the heck is first?! They pointed out that Allen’s yards per game passing drops from 262 to 184 when it’s cold and windy. And that Mason Rudolph has only played in 3 chilly games, the coldest being 36 degrees. Not that cold.
  12. The Sports gods want this game played on Sunday. We will probably rout them if Pickens and Co. can’t be involved in their game plan.
  13. From little snippets here and there that i’ve heard Josh seems very confident. Dude is ready
  14. Maybe the nasty weather starting out this weekend will prove to be a big assist for Buffalo to get to the AFC Championship game. I gotta believe recent experiences in wind (NE game, Balt playoff), Freezing cold (NE playoff game) and snow (Miami and Cinci games) has the Bills, McDermott and Allen more prepared to deal with the conditions better than our opponents. I was in the stadium for Wide Right so I get what you're saying...just feel like the string of bad endings in playoffs has to end. The fanbase and team is ready.
  15. If late Monday doesn’t have the heavy snow, blowing snow, low visibility and huge winds they should move it. Any other NFL city would have already moved the game since travel in those conditions is super dangerous.
  16. 1-3 feet in persistent snow band area? i’m sure the Steelers and their fans sre loving this. Lol. The big underdog always loves the forecast of awful weather. Doesn’t always pan out to help though.
  17. When does the NFL ever move game times other than Covid? seems like 1pm Sunday is the game, the only question is will it have to be moved out of OP. and that’s not looking like the case as we get further into friday night.
  18. At this point i’m just going with the flow. If we’re destined to win, avenge Mahomes in the playoffs and ascend to greatness then it’s meant to be. If not, then it wasn’t our time and I’ll be disappointed for a day and move on. But maybe, just maybe the weather Sunday will crush any chance the Steelers would have had and we will all be giddy on Sunday eve after a big Bills victory.
  19. Only in Orchard Park can winds 20-30 with a random gust to 40 be considered lighter than expected and frankly a bit of a relief.
  20. That is insane, but let's face it...the heavy lake effect snow and wind (possible zero visibility at times) really makes Orchard Park unique. We've played in cold. The NE perfect game was really cold (7 degrees -5 wind chill) and a win over the Raiders way back in 1994 was the coldest game here (zero and -32 wind chill). With the heavy snow band predicted and high winds,,,i have no doubt that the NFL would've moved the game out of any other NFL city by now.
  21. Alot of us have driven in these snow bands. One time I was driving from Williamsville to Ithaca. I hit the band a few miles after i got on the Thruway going Eastbound, after Pembroke. It was terrifying. The only thing that saved me was following directly behind a Greyhound bus, barely seeing his tail lights and going 10mph. I followed and drove in his tire tracks all the way to Rochester. When we got to Roch, out of nowhere the sky was blue and sunny and the snow machine turned off. I was sweating bullets and was so happy to make it. And this was just a snow band not 45+mph winds and a blizzard. So Getting back to the Bills game.. how in the world are they gonna put 60,000+ people out there in conditions like that?!? That would be insane.
  22. That's what the interviewer, Cowherd, said. He's like it's going to be 65mph wind gusts and heavy snow you can't possibly play a game in that,, lol. BTW- I have not seen 65mph, is that on the table now?!?
  23. On FS1, NFL Reporter Albert Breer said he checked with the league and no discussion yet on moving the Bills game or any time/day changes. He did say because it's a Sunday game they still have time.. He goes on that if the NFL deems it to be an unsafe thing for fans and staff to attend the game and get home, they may do something. But he thinks the forecast has to get WORSE for them to move it.
  24. Good Job for Taron! For Allen that's no All-Pro and to a lesser extent, no Pro Bowl. The most productive unicorn QB the league has seen and this guy has no major honors to put on his resume after retirement. Let's hope for a Lombardi of course. Meanwhile Lamar with MVP's and All-Pro status is being fitted for a gold jacket today.
  25. That's it. Move this baby out of town.
