For Josh in particular, they have said there is some communication between the team and Jordan Palmer. Since Palmer is a private coach he can work on concepts with Josh independently in the offseason.

Lovie Smith got hired because by all appearances the Texans fired Culley unfairly to bring in McCown, who I don't believe has coached in any capacity, as their HC. Flores' lawsuit came out and the clownshow leadership over there actually had a cogent thought and said "I don't think we can pull off this obviously nonsensical move this year without becoming the poster team for hiring discrimination" so they pivoted and acted like Lovie had been their double secret probation candidate all along.

In the end, this whole thing MIGHT move the needle a bit towards more black coordinator level positions, which may or may not result in more black head coaches. If Frazier had already been interviewed, then Flores' argument for him being a sham candidate would not have any proof.

This case is not seeking redress for that violation, it is a class action for racial discrimination in hiring practices. That allegation will result in an investigation by the NFL, which I'm sure he provides evidence for and will likely result in penalties for the Dolphins along with the allegation of tampering.

Oooff, that would seem to invalidate Flores' argument right there.
