Haack is terrible. In the rare event when we need to punt it would be great to actually play the field position game and not hang our D out to dry. I wanted to create a place where we could actually look at prospect beyond arguing about what round Araiza is going in. Here's some info, feel free to post links if you have anything to say about the topic! https://bnbfootball.com/2022-rankings/punter/ https://www.draftcountdown.com/rankings/2022-nfl-draft-p-rankings-shane/ https://www.nfl.com/combine/tracker/live-results/40-yards-dash/spec/all-colleges/ Three punters were invited to the combine, above is a blurb about punters in the draft this year. Matt Araiza - SDSU https://www.nfl.com/prospects/matt-araiza/32004152-4131-7575-504d-a8b693e6a7b6 Jordan Stout - Penn State https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jordan-stout/32005354-4f72-7243-90d9-b44242223591 Jake Camarda - Georgia https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jake-camarda/32004341-4d01-3278-6483-bc919efd064d Stout and Araiza are batting for #1. Araiza has the one of the biggest legs ever, Stout has a big leg is supposedly a little more consistent. Camarda is supposed to be the best technician of the three an has solid leg strength but had a down season this year. Puntalytics is a pretty knowledgeable place to find info about current NLF punters. Heres is what they have to say about this year's FAs, you can click on the tweet to see the rest of the tiers. If it came down to a vet I'd look at Hekker first, then Anger. I'd personally rather just draft Stout and save the money signing a legit punter would cost. Araiza is likely to go in the 3rd-4th and Stout should go sometime after that since people are in love with Araiza's distance. IMO draft Stout in the 5th-6th.

If I had my druthers Hughes would sign a low cost deal and come back for one more year.

DE- Miller, Basham 3 Tech- Oliver / Settle / Phillips 1 Tech- Jones, Star DE- Rousseau, Epenesa We could draft another DE or sign another vet on the cheap and that's what I think the Dline looks like this year -
AZ cuts Jordan Phillips - now signed by Bills
ndirish1978 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think we cut star, we're already paying him so we might as well trot him out there to be Jones' backup. It also doesn't hurt to have 3 different 3 techs who can also play 1 tech at times. You throw Settle/Philips out there next to Oliver and the D doesn't know which of the 2 is doing what. -
Great depth signing. Hope it works out and we can play more 12 personnel.

Only took 5 posts to make the ignore list, that's gotta be some kind of record! -
I fell back to my old ways and doubted. I should have never doubted BBB, I'm a moron.

Right, you have an opinion and I said I disagreed. Both opinions are valid and there is quite literally no way to prove either point correct or incorrect. I'm not bashing you or angling for a fight. -

Not disagreeing that he could be good, but Allen was not good his 1st 2 years, he was ascending in year 2. We cannot waste a year due to no pass rush. -

Disagree, Groot can start but Boogie has not shown he can be a viable starter. You can't rely on projections when you're in the middle of a SuperBowl window. We absolutely need a DE1 and CB2 in the worst way. -
Wasn't there someone on this board predicting a big trade for today? That's now the only rumor I have to hold on to and I'm 99% sure it was a lie.

I am quite concerned about the D as it stands. White may not be around at the start of the season and we would be starting Dan Jackson and Cam Lewis at the boundaries with very little in the way of a pass rush. Obviously it's just day 1, but these are things that MUST be fixed. -
Chandler Jones signing with Raiders - 3 years, $52.5 mill
ndirish1978 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watch us sign Hughes and pass that off as a win -
Failure to secure a difference-maker at DE will define this offseason for me if we can't pick one up. We don't have a single marquee player and don't talk to me about how Groot looks better, he is a 2nd year player with no one playing opposite him - Boogie is not a starter and AJ could be cut and I wouldn't care.

I'm here for the outrage from people who weren't happy we signed him in the first place -

Wow, they signed him for a bag of chips. I don't understand why we didn't offer him this same amount with the crap depth we have at CB -
