Help from someone in Buffalo please
ndirish1978 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did anyone watch it? -
Who clears injured players to play? I don't think it's Bud, it's the medical staff. No issues with Bud for me.

So the "source" for this is a confirmed gossip website with no actual insiders? I'm in. -

What IS the procedure for trading a player during the draft if they fail their physical? -
I'm kind of surprised by the reaction to this. I feel like there should be a lot more empathy for these kids. We're talking about a billion dollar industry that is predicated on a "free" work force. Half of these schools don't actually give these guys real educations, they enroll them in classes like History of Jazz and make their tutors complete assignments for them. I know people who have played D-1 at dozens of schools and I can tell you there are only a handful of schools that actually allow these guys take real classes that will result in them getting an actual job or degree that's worth anything. I know several guys who went on to have short-lived careers in the league who could probably read at a fourth grade level. Had another acquaintance who wanted to be a business major but was forced by the coaches at an ACC school to major in communications because that whole department was basically a free pass. There is very little validity to people saying these kids receiving any actual life-helping benefit, most of these kids are being exploited. To be clear, these kids are obligated to do whatever the coaches want if they want any shot at the pros, because they will be stuffed on the bench and never play if they aren't compliant. Many of these kids come from humble beginnings and are terrified of the prospect of not playing because they know it's the only chance they have to improve their lot in life.

Fixed that for you. The Bills historically choked in those games, they did not this time.

Which non QB do you want to draft most?

I like Jackson better than Rudolph, but I wouldn't be psyched for either one. -

Seriously, what the heck is going on with our medical staff? I'm baffled by the amount of players we consistently rush back from injury who then are later put on IR or have to sit out for weeks. It's like they have ZERO judgement of when a player is recovered enough to play. -

Inexcusable that I forgot Phillips, I think he's likely to be one of our picks. -
I think everyone could tell the content of your character when you started a fake news thread stating your "sources" (really an instagram post) told you that Shady was going to be off the team this year. Then, when you were called on the lie you magically disappeared from the board to avoid the heat and you still pretend you have sources in the know and that you weren't a liar.

Roquon Smith, Vita Vea, Equanimeous St. Brown ( I think he's going to be great and ND did him no favors this year with the QB play), Mike McGlinchey (not gonna happen but he's a stud), Joshua Jackson, Da'Ron Payne -

Well then, I suppose I should tell the former offensive-minded HC who coached for decades that you disagree. He'll be devastated by your expert opinion. -
Zone blocking scheme – Whose responsibility?
ndirish1978 replied to Bad Things's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Castillo has run a primarily zone blocking scheme as a coach, that's what he does. No offensive schemes run ONLY zone blocking, so he coaches everything, but historically that's his bread and butter. Here's a decent primer article http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/10/buffalo_bills_ol_coach_explains_blocking_schemes_what_could_fix_offensive_line.html. My issue with Castillo isn't his blocking scheme, it's that the line as a while appeared to regress under his coaching. John Miller, while not a worldbeater by any metric, went from a promising young G to pure bench material. If you can't develop talent on the O-line you're screwed, -
Redskins pick at 13 now serious trade up opportunity?
ndirish1978 replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This would be ridiculous. Value chart indicates we would need to trade 21 and 55 to move up to 13. If you want to start postulating trade scenarios: if we did a deal for THAT compensation we could package 13 and 22 for Cleveland's pick at 4 along with a swap of 3rd rounders and still be left with our first 2nd rounder and their 3rd rd pick, which would be the first in the round. Never gonna happen, but I'd be happy with that scenario. -
The question is why does Cousins agree to a long-term deal? This stifles his ability to test the water with others and drive up his price. Washington lost leverage when the news broke that they have a trade in place for Alex Smith, so I dunno why he would agree to this.
