I don't think he'd lying at this point in time. He has been focused on FA and has repeatedly stated he's not drafting a QB without getting to know them first. It's a convenient for him to say this now because it's currently true. Once they have private workouts with all the QBs they are interested in, he will know what they are doing. Done signing other team's free agents. He did say we have offers out to Preston and EJ.

You do realize that 260+lb DEs get tired and can't play every single snap at 100% right? The Giants won a Super Bowl rotating DEs, it's a thing we should have been doing for years.

If the performance escalators kick in that would mean he's playing well, we're not talking about roster bonuses for being on the team each game. Let's be clear, he was brought in to compete for a starting job and at worst play backup. We signed him for a pittance. Arizona just signed Mr. Glass for 20M a year and you know he's not playing a full season. We are drafting a top 2-3 QB. We are in a good position.

We've picked up starters at QB, DE, CB, DT and re-signed a starting DT, clearing the way to draft LBs and O in the draft and we have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds. We only have to trade 2-3 of those to move up. Who else would you have us sign, FA isn't close be being over; in fact, it's only about 6 hours in.

It's 2 years 10 million base with 6.5 in performance escalators. Not a 16.5M contract, it's 10.
