This is the biggest question I have and it has me super worried.

I'm saying the question is speculation for speculation's sake. Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell would have been considered the top of this class because they were both considered can't-miss prospects while every QB in this class has question marks. How does that actually mean anything?

Here's the deal, the media doesn't have a ton to say about Allen, so they threw him to the team they don't really want to talk about, that's about it.

65 under contract and not all of them will even make the roster. Getting to 90 is just numbers - we're just gonna sign people with upside at vet mins and rookie FAs. I'm much more concerned with the fact that we still don't have legit candidates for starters at MLB, SLB, CB3 and WR3 (not counting QB in this because you COULD argue we can start McCarron, though I'm not making that argument). Doubtful we can pick up more than 3 solid starters in a single class. I'm hoping we re-sign Gaines and Johnson.

I like Phillips in the 2nd. We still have a desperate need for 2 STARTING LBs though, so that may preclude this.

Consider the poster you're speaking to - 100% troll. He's not worth a 2nd rd pick. That said, if Beane found a way to trade a player to move up that high in the first he would be a legend in my mind. Imagine getting a franchise QB and drafting a sick LB in the first AND having both of our second rounders? Zero chance it happens if we move up IMO, but man that would be a crazy draft.

Meh. Read he was going somewhere he was "wanted." Which is really just code for "my team didn't agree with my overly-inflated asking price." Must have not "wanted" him all that much if he only got a 1 year contract.

I don't think he'd lying at this point in time. He has been focused on FA and has repeatedly stated he's not drafting a QB without getting to know them first. It's a convenient for him to say this now because it's currently true. Once they have private workouts with all the QBs they are interested in, he will know what they are doing. Done signing other team's free agents. He did say we have offers out to Preston and EJ.

Pats just circumvented FA for McCourty by trading for him. Pouncey's salary is manageable, why to just ship a 7th to the Dolphins for him before they cut him?

that's awesome. Hope that means we have a few more decent FA's to bring in as starters.
