  1. That's my point exactly. The other guys people were longing for around here wound up getting monster deals. I'd kick the tires on this kid and be happy.
  2. Any time a good player signs in the NFC I'm happy.
  3. Settle down. Half the board was clamoring for McCarron as a bridge option. His agent used to be Pegula's business partner. If we really need to sign someone we'll probably just bring him in here. The only decent QB to sign a 1- year deal was Mr Glass and we tried to get him but missed out, the rest wanted franchise money, you don't give franchise money to a backup. The title to this thread reads like a trashy romance novel. "My Needs"
  4. Beat me to it by like 5 seconds. Here's the tweet. http://twitter.com/DraftDiamonds/status/973716432281309185
  5. I have zero knowledge of this guy, is he any good?
  6. It's clear they don't even bother to look at the depth chart, nevermind look at backups who can replace someone like Wood. How are we supposed to care when they give their opinions on this team. Ignore everything you hear about who we want in the draft, I have a feeling they're all wrong.
  7. http://www.nfl.com/videos/buffalo-bills/0ap3000000920742/Casserly-Bills-need-to-protect-themselves-sign-veteran-quarterback Eisen discussing the trade down to 12 for us and throws it over to Casserly, who is completely unaware the Bills even have a 2nd 1st round pick. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the quality of the national media's coverage of the Bills.
  8. What are his other options? This is currently the only starting job up for grabs. You play well enough before the rookie comes in and someone else will pay you. His only other option is to sign a backup contract to be a backup, not compete for a starting job.
  9. The eagles don't HAVE to trade Foles. They are in a great position with him as backup and Went coming off an injury. They already turned down a 2nd rounder from someone and I'm not even remotely convinced it was us. This isn't a "buyer's market" as has been indicated by some hopeful people around here, it's a "if you want to make us an offer we can't turn down I guess we have to do it" situation. We're going to have to trade both of our firsts to get our QB, so where is the extra 1st required to acquire this placeholder QB? I don't care for McCarron, but this is currently the only job open in the league. You sign him to a 2 year deal for backup money and tell him he's got a chance to start and earn a payday somewhere else. I'm not blowing draft picks on a guy I'm rooting not to start anyway.
  10. The search function is your friend
  11. I forgot who I was talking to. You've never met a biased opinion you didn't like. Unless you were in the locker room you have no idea what Tyrod did or didn't do. All the evidence points to Tyrod being a consummate professional and being helpful to Nate, including interviews with the players themselves. I'll take public record over your biased opinion.
  12. We will miss your 28 posts.
  13. I disagree strongly with this. Tyrod prepared as hard as anyone, he simple doesn't have the talent to let it rip.
  14. I'd dislike it. The whole point of vets is to help the young guys learn how to be NFL QBs and the amount of work required, weldon't currently have someone who can help a rookie develop. Peterman has shown he can't even prepare himself to start a game.
  15. If you're drafting a kid in the top 5 I'm guessing you prefer him to start right away.
  16. You eat THAT for breakfast?
  17. They don't need to trade him and they prefer to keep him. You're manufacturing wish scenarios based on an incarcerated Bob tweet.
  18. IN Yes a third could get it done, especially since they already turned down a 2. This usually works, just keep offering worse compensation. They'll probably give him to us for a 7th if we keep it up.
  19. McCown, not to play, but to help mentor the rookie. He was already offered a QB coach position last year.
  20. You are correct, you are showing poor character
  21. Agreed. But if they stop at 4 I'm calling Mayfield
  22. Wait for the contract. If they sign him for $20 million/yr, which is reportedly what he was looking for, and for more than three years, they're not drafting a quarterback
  23. Mayfield then. rosen and darnold will go before 4
