Agree, but don't recall Hopkins teammates ripping him for it like is happening in Buffalo. Both Diggs and Hughes kind of publicly contradicted him. Hughes comments about not driving down the road at 80 MPH sounded to me like he was really ripping Beasleys position.

I follow the Bills fairly closely, but not other teams and the NFL at nearly the same level. Just curious, are the Bills unique in that it's gone to the level of players fighting players/teammates on Twitter over this? This is the type of thing that can tear a team apart. Reminds me of the time a number of years back think it was basketball where the one player was sleeping with teammates wife created quite the division within the team. Similar issue with the Yankees in the 60's but in that case two players just swapped wives, so no one was all that upset at the time. Just needed to remember the new way home.

I'd argue it's much different. The other person very likely is still looking down the road and can warn you of something. Not likely both persons aren't looking at the same time. Rarely if ever do I ever see cars slowing down when two people are talking to each other, but you see it all the time with people on phone. About 10 years ago before texting was the rage, driving down the highway around 55, pass a car, drive looked like a 20 to 25 YO guy. He had one foot hanging out the window, cigarette in one hand, other hand was doing something else and wasn't on the wheel. What was actually being used to drive the car and steer, no idea!

But the counter to that is being good, they'll have more games broadcast as the double header game coast to coast, Sunday and Monday night, plus maybe a late Saturday game. Depending where you live if the closest local team isn't in the AFC, a couple of 1:00 Bills games may also be on local TV Few years back a friend of mine was a Steelers fan, lived here in NC and had DTV for ST. One year he counted 11 of their 16 games he could watch over the air, so bagged it the following year. There are always the illegal streaming sites available. A friend of mine tells me the quality and reliability of them has become quite good. True story, last year wanted to watch a SU football game (why, yeah I don't know) that wasn't on local TV so found it on one of these illegal sites. After about a half hour remembered I have the ACC network so could legally watch it so switched over. The video quality was better on the illegal stream.

Beasley breaking "Omerta"

If Beane takes him out fishing look out. Better take him out on Ontario, Erie is kind of shallow. -
I thought the "top 51 clause" is only through training camp, once the final roster is selected all 53 count?? For someone to make the PS believe they'd have first been waived/cut so they no longer have a contract. The players on PS are then paid a set salary, same for all teams. Whether that counts towards the cap or not not sure, probably doesn't matter as all teams would have the same amount of $$ so would be a wash. Think the league has not yet announced whether they are going to go with last years PS rules which were more liberal due to Covid or going back to the 2019 rules. If I recall they added more slots and also allowed players with more prior years playing time? Wouldn't be shocked to see 2 or 3 Bills slip on a banana peel or something and end up on season ending IR, can see that happening with one of their tackles they drafted and maybe a D-lineman or two. Always find it interesting how these guys are healthy enough to play in the pre-season games, but then all of a sudden a week before final cut downs they are hurt. I'm sure they are legit, but also think he'd have played hurt all year if they needed the player.

Yeach could see a mutual agreement to part between either Payton or Tomlin as won't want to go through a rebuild and/or they discover it was just dumb luck that they had franchise QB's all these years and not their brilliant coaching and getting the next next one is alot more work than they realize. Agree too on Shanny and lets not forget Gruden, think he may walk away. And I'll give Meyers two seasons before he leaves again for health reasons. Even in NE, how long before Kraft figures out it's hard to recruit FA's to compete as they don't want to play for BB without the franchise QB there to get them to the Super Bowl every couple of years.

Understood, but the fact that my TV was flipping back and forth every couple days between NC and Philly stations is still kind of strange?? The TV never moved. I wonder too about the VPN spoofing. -

So interesting I have YouTube TV, live down in NC and have a 2nd house up in eastern PA. I initially set up YouTube down here in NC. Recently when traveling up there, within 24 hours of arriving, my laptop switched to the local Phily stations. Even though the TV had never resided in a house other than PA one day would have Phily stations, next day NC stations, couldn't make up it's mind it seemed. And anything I recorded, on their "DVR" was recording on the NC stations even though I was in Pa at the time the recording was made. I was there for a a month BTW so wasn't a short visit. Once I returned to NC, it picked up stations here again right away. -

This is no different than prior years, strictly references people who can't get reception. But even then prior I've entered addresses of a nursing home in Florida and a brand new built house that there'd be no way DTV would be able to tell if I could or couldn't get reception. Every single address I ever entered stated it wasn't eligible. In the past day I've read some links that say indicate yes anyone can now get the streaming service stand alone, but just as many links basically say nothing has changed. Correct, think the issue isn't the HOA specific, but you can't alter THEIR property, only your own. So if you have a unit that faces south great hang it out your window (as long as it doesn't require holes to be drilled in their building) , but if you face north only, you're not allowed to run a cable up to the roof and place it up there without the HOA's permission. -

It's only a stand alone IF you can't get DTV due to reception and every address I ever put in stated was not eligible, including a nursing home in Florida and a brand new constructed house that never had DTV at this address. I think they also have a stand alone for college students. Unless something has changed for this coming season, no you can't easily get ST without DTV -

But I don't think it's making much of any money for AT&T so can't see them bidding very high for it. They may bid, but at a lower price. The one thing that could change would be if AT&T bids it also as a stand alone package, no need at all for DTV (and yes in theory can do that today, but only if you have an address that can't get a signal). But that wouldn't help DTV at all then. The one big difference this time is this is the first negotiation between the NFL and AT&T, prior was always with DTV and they seem to be more hard line and may not care much about DTV. Believe recently they even just spun it off? I do wonder if the NFL wants to get into another situation where you need a certain package to view it, i.e. Apple TV, U-Tube, AT&T or would they rather give it to someone like an ESPN or Fox Sports and then up to whatever providers wish to carry it. Or a Yahoo or Prime where no additional packages required. I 'd think if they wish to stop all the illegal viewing sites may be best to go that way as people would be more willing to pay an amount of money strictly for ST and not 100 other channels they don't wish to view. I do agree 100% with your statement in bold, but I'll take the other side as would be shocked if it's back on DTV -

If it's like MLB, you save about $30 for a team specific package compared to the entire thing. It's priced so hardly worth it. Yeah but this time pretty sure it's different. The last time ST package was renewed was about a year prior to AT&T buying DTV. Ever since DTV has got much tighter with discounts, giving away ST, etc. as AT&T told them you can't keep losing money. Read articles in past few months stating AT&T isn't even all that interested in it anymore. They are more pushing their own streaming packages themselves. -
Just received an offer in the mail to come back to DTV, think I got rid of them 4 or 5 years ago. What surprised me about the offer though was $69 a month, likely in the fine print, that was only the first year price. But ST was NOT included. In the past usually around this time of year, all their offers would include ST. But maybe due to AT&T losing too much money through them and potentially being the last year of the contract with the NFL, they aren't including it?

Interior OL Battle
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think one of the rookies (my bet is on one of the tackles) will end up slipping on a banana peel or something and spend the year on IR so that will open up one more spot for someone else. Do agree that there may be a surprising cut someplace on the line. Ford also has battles through being jerked around in 2 years. How many 2nd year players can say they've started multiply NFL games and three different positions on the line? Can't believe that's helped him all that much. -

He's super careful about sun exposure after being very close with Jim Johnson who died from skin cancer. I know I've read comments about that prior. Plus he is very fair skinned. This message posted by a person who visits the dermatologist twice a year and always has a couple things zapped off. Is this a teams competition at all or strictly individual? If teams I'll place my money on the Romo/Soranstam/whomever team. Recall Romo supposedly is a pretty good golfer to start with and didn't see any other former pro's on the list. -
So I've heard that if you live in an address that can't receive DTV you can get ST without. But anytime I entered an address it would state not eligible. I entered the home that I lived in which was a brand new construction which meant there was never a DTV hookup at this address and for all anyone knew, could have been 20 feet underground. I even entered the address of a nursing home in Florida which you weren't erecting a dish in her room and it still wouldn't let me. I've never found an address that would work.

You still haven't responded as to where you live. If you live in the Buffalo/Western NY area, every game on Fox and CBS is on local TV, so the cheapest as was mentioned already get an antenna. ESPN games will also be on some local channel. If not directly in Buffalo but Western NY same is true except the two ESPN games will not be available over the air. If you live outside the Western NY, there is no streaming options other than Sunday Ticket via a Direct TV subscription. Some people claim you can get ST via streaming only, but I've never had any luck with that. Outside the US Game Pass is the cheapest

Jacksonville Jag's game question
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Ed_Formerly_of_Roch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I go to watch a replay on the video board afterwards and what I'm watching is backwards from what I just saw on the field, it just would mess me up, like what am I watching that looks all different from what I just saw. It shouldn't matter, but one less thing to think about. I live in NC now right on the coast and have spent a fair amount of time in Florida too, for the most part we have higher summer temps than Florida does, rarely does Florida have a temp of 100 degrees, but we'll average 3 or 4 a year here, one year had like a dozen. But the extreme hot season is much shorter here than Florida, basically Memorial day to Labor day is the brutal part, whereas Florida still can hit 90 in March and till early Nov sometimes. Saw a photo posted and showed the Jax bench side in the shade so probably that is also the camera angle side too
