  1. It has been since Josh was drafted. Wyoming as well.
  2. Allen’s highs are being *expected* now due to his talent and arm ability, while his lows - like the game against the Jaguars - leaves people scratching their heads. The inconsistencies (or rollercoaster as some have labeled it) is why he’s not always getting the respect he deserves. The failure to win close games this season is another. As great as he is, there’s still plenty of room for Josh to elevate his play and that mostly comes down to raising his floor level performances.
  3. Yes, I remember. But again, the question is why did they bid against themselves? No other team was giving up more than a single 1st and a 2nd. If I remember correctly the Cardinals second round pick was even after the Bills. Bills could’ve told the Bucs “you get our first and the first of our 2nd round picks, take it or leave it” and started talking to the Bears. Bucs option would then be to select Vita Vea, or take a much lesser offer from the Cardinals, which wouldn’t make sense. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter much because they hit on a QB who has HoF potential, but why give up more than you have to if no other team is willing to beat a more reasonable offer?
  4. Always wondered why we outbid ourselves and gave up TWO second round picks to move up 5 spots when Arizona was on record saying they wouldn’t give up more than one 2nd and was trying to trade their first and a 3rd. Maybe a third team was in the mix, not that much of it matters now.
  5. Yeah that 2000 Ravens D was being compared to the 85 Bears, the Steel Curtain, the Purple People Eaters. It was an extremely suffocating defense and a team I’d put among the best I’ve seen since I started watching football. I’m sure there were others that were better, but they were before my time.
  6. 1) 2007 Patriots* 2) 2000 Ravens 3) 1998 Broncos 4) 1998 Vikings* 5) 2006 Colts Started watching the NFL religiously in 1996 and two of the best teams I’ve seen didn’t win it all.
  7. So basically root for the Chiefs and Bengals to win so we can lock up the 4 and play TN rather than KC - after we win the first playoff game.
  8. Just came back from the Colts board. Their fans don’t want to play the Chiefs. Every other AFC team they feel they can beat and have absolutely no fear of the Bills - not that I blame them. In fact, they’re more worried about a Patriots rematch than Buffalo.
  9. “Commanders” wasn’t one of the many names trademarked by that Macauly guy? That’s surprising.
  10. Has anyone dug in to see how the fans of those teams feel? Who do they want/not want to play?
  11. It’s fun to have a QB where this “debate” can exist. Too many years it’s been “is Brian Brohm the answer? Can Tyrod Taylor be our version of Tom Brady? Is Fitzy a journeyman who has finally figured out how to play at a high level?” Those were the days.
  12. Cant believe some of you are debating which Allen has been better, last year’s version, or this year’s. No question last year he had the greatest season of any Bills QB ever and made the wow throws and clutch plays to back that up. This year he has the jaw dropping throws as well (of course), but it doesn’t feel like as many. He also hasn’t come through in the clutch in any of those one score games. Not entirely on him, but they’re still 0-5 in one score games and in every one the Allen led offense had the chance to take the lead. Last year was elite, this year is excellent - not the other way around.
  13. Patriots beat that same team 25-0. In Atlanta. This was a win against a lesser team, nothing more.
  14. Maybe Daboll told him “bombs away” so he’d look great for his head coaching opportunities. How else do you explain all the cutesy play calls when simple would’ve been more effective? Of course I’m only have kidding, but it didn’t seem like the Bills had respect for their opponent today, they just thought they’d throw all over them and call whatever they wanted. Should’ve learned after game 1 of the season, we’re not that team. Yet.
  15. Beane didn’t think Jefferson would be that guy. He’s on record as saying the WRs they wanted (Jeudy/Lamb) they would’ve ended up giving up more capital to move up to get them, than what they gave up for Diggs. If he knew Jefferson would be this productive then I bet he doesn’t make the move for Diggs. All of this would’ve been avoided had they selected Metcalf over Ford the year before, but that’s another story 😅
  16. Brady is the closest thing to Michael Jordan in cleats. He’s just always so clutch.
  17. Didnt realize he had four tackles, a sack, a TFL, and 3 QB hits this game. He’s been playing outstanding. Of course Star wasn’t on the stat sheet, even when his mind is right he’s only good for 1-2 tackles per game.
  18. I didn’t believe in Darnold coming out of the draft, not because he was a USC QB, but because he was kinda Gomer Pyle-ish. I also never thought he’d play like a 7th rounder. He’s comically bad.
  19. If Jordan Davis profiles as a more athletic Ted Washington, then go and get him! I’m against trading up in general, but that’s exactly what this defense needs in the front 7. I wonder if Dallas would’ve taken Edmunds and pick 30 last year so that we could take Parsons, but that’s more Madden EA Sports talk than reality. Point is, do whatever you can to select the athletic freak who’s also a dynamic playmaking presence on the field.
  20. If I was forced into giving a decent extension to either Ed Oliver or Tremaine Edmunds, it’d be Oliver for me, hands down.
  21. To me, it’s a list of “Hall of Very Good.” I’m not sure any of those players deserve to be immortalized with a bust in Canton. I do see the argument for Hester though, flashy gets attention. Is there a required number of selections each year? Or could they just as easily only select 2 from the list?
  22. It wouldn’t, he would get rag dolled by OTs. Same reason why I don’t think he’d be an effective blitzer off the edge. If the staff thought there was potential there I fully believe you would’ve seen him in that role already. He’s an okay blitzer when no one is in his path, but shouldn’t that be the standard for every defender in the NFL?
  23. I think a better player puts that RB on his @ss and makes the sack himself, but thankfully Oliver was able to get there before Jones got the ball off.
  24. I was going to mention this before I saw this post. I thought it was the RB, but you’re right, he was absolutely stone walled, zero power or rush technique to get around or through the guy. It doesn’t just happen with RBs either, he’s pretty easily handled by TEs as well. I don’t know how much strength his frame holds, but it’s not much. If Edmunds was Micah Parsons caliber and that much of a difference maker in the front 7, I think you could pencil us in for the Super Bowl.
  25. No one knows how this rumor started, could’ve been by Joe Blow in his basement apartment, but it has taken on life. I don’t think any of the Lotuleiles are on social media, but something this big should be relatively easy to verify. I’d imagine his teammates know the truth, but truly Star’s personal reasons are none of our business.
