This isn't an attempt to be snarky, I'm just curious... Why do you value Allen? Against power five teams, he was 48 of 96 for 427 yards, with one touchdown and eight interceptions. He only had two games over 300 yards passing in his entire collegiate career. One of those was against a school named Gardner Webb and the other took three overtimes. His career completion percentage is 56.2, despite having one of the lowest drop rates among this year's QBs. He had 44 TDs in his career, to go with 21 INTs. To put that into perspective, Baker Mayfield had 41 TD passes this year alone. Aside from his prototypical size and cannon arm, what do you see in Allen that makes you believe he'd be a standout QB? I just don't see it.

Jets just traded with Colts for #3 pick in first round
Brand J replied to Hurricane's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would rather wait to see how the draft plays out. Say we grab Jackson at 22, if it's clear none of those three QBs have what it takes to lead the Bills, then I'd sign Foles next year as an UFA. No need to give up draft compensation. I'm also on record for not wanting to mortgage our entire draft for the #2 pick. -

Josh Allen started 26 games at Wyoming. He failed to throw for 300 or more yards in 25 of them (96%). -

I know a lot of you are desperate for a QB, I am too, but unless you have a crystal ball and know for sure Darnold, Rosen, or Mayfield are bound for the HOF, you need to chill. It's quite possible another QB in this draft goes on to have a better career than any of those three. Don't give up the farm if the Giants want a King's ransom. No one will die if Darnold, Rosen, and Mayfield are all chosen by teams other than the Bills. -
Who else really wants a first round MLB?
Brand J replied to Bing Bong's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd also love to pair Vita Vea next to Star, but we've only got a couple draft picks in the first and it's likely both will go towards one of "the big three" QBs (and rightfully so). -
You can add Dan Marino to that list as well. But all those guys played in a totally different era.

I noticed Allen likes to bail from a clean pocket too often. We just traded a QB who had the same problem. Aside from his noted struggles against power 5 teams... This is a highlight/lowlight video, his lowlights start at 7:07. Josh Allen Film Study

The "We have too many holes" argument
Brand J replied to ColdFront_USAF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kansas City moved from #27 all the way to #10 by trading a 2018 first round draft pick. 17 spots in exchange for ONE extra first round pick. That's it. I don't have the draft value chart, but we can either give up both firsts for a pick in the top 10, or give up one and a second rounder. Any trade that includes more than multiple firsts doesn't interest me, not for this QB class. -
Pro Football HOF 2018 Class Announced

I would agree with the exception of Champ Bailey. He's HOF worthy. The rest? Just good players, not HOF players. -
Andrew Luck to Bills speculation/chatter

Seems like 1/3 of the comments in any thread that involves SaviorPeterman are created simply to pile on him for claims he makes. Maybe the percentage isn't that high, but it certainly feels like it. Do you guys care that much to lambaste him over every comment? Whether or not he's full of poo is irrelevant, the number of negative posts that are created in retaliation, in thread after thread, is ridiculous. Just ignore the guy. I like reading a discussion, but it's tiresome when every 3rd or 4th post quotes the dude in order to reinforce the fact he's not privy to anything. -
As an underclassman, how is Allen allowed to compete in the Senior Bowl?

Mason Rudolph has tiny hands
Brand J replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would love to see an NBA breakdown of hand size. Most of those guys are genetic freaks, including the shorter point guards. John Stockton was known to have massive hands, Rajon Rando i something like 6'2" with an 84" wingspan. Simply crazy. I found this on reddit, some guy talking about Michael Jordan's hand size relative to his own: "Jordan's hands are huge. I have really big hands. I can play an 11th on the piano. At 9.75" my hands are bigger than many NFL QBs (per combine measurements)." -
Kiper Mock Draft: Josh Allen #1
Brand J replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Interesting stat on Josh Allen, printed after the loss to Oregon this year: "The last two seasons against Nebraska, Iowa, and Oregon, all power five teams, Allen was 48 for 96 for 427 yards, with one TD pass and eight interceptions." Yikes. -
I wonder if these situations are practiced. If I was a coach, I'd make sure to rehearse a hurry up when any previous play is candidate for a review. You've got to have quick, go-to plays in these instant replay situations. If the other team is going to throw a challenge flag, they'll have to do it without a sufficient look at a replay.

What's the difference between a boxer getting hit in the head and getting knocked down/woozy, versus an NFL player getting hit in the head and coming up woozy? It's possible Peterman didn't get concussed, but was put in the protocol given rules that govern the NFL today.

Around the NFL Week 14 - Who to Root For
Brand J replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Heard on WGR if the Chiefs lose today, their 1st round pick moves to #13. If they win it moves to #25. Go Raiders!!! -
Bills to explore trade market for tyrod
Brand J replied to The juice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The run defense needs help... Think we can we trade Tyrod Taylor for Marcel Dareus out in Jacksonville? -
D&C'S MAIORANA: Clock Is Ticking On Dennison
Brand J replied to OldTimeAFLGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When an offensive coordinator lines up Tolbert as part of a 5 WR package, that tells me all I need to know about the coordinator. A 250 pound fullback running pass routes??? That's almost as egregious as Marcel Dareus dropping into coverage. -
2nd round pick? Not a chance. We'd be lucky to see a 4th. As I understand it, prior to accepting a $10M pay cut to stay with the Bills, his agent was on the phones, trying to see who coveted his client. No team was gaga over TT.

Would be nice to still have Seymour on this team. Wasn't his fault he was hurt throughout training camp, to trade him for a WR who had already been with 5 other teams was asinine.

Longtime NFL Scout Says Taylor Is "Below Average QB"
Brand J replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone who wants Peterman to see the field (myself included) is on that train because we know what we have in Tyrod Taylor. And it's not good enough. For those who argue Taylor starts because coaches believe he gives the team the best chance to win, there was another QB in New England who rode the bench for over a year for the same reason. Bill Belichek thought Drew Bledsoe gave the team the best chance to win and then Mo Lewis proved him wrong. Nobody knows anything, give Peterman the reins, if he bombs, we're in position to draft high. If he succeeds, draft competition for him and thank our lucky stars. -
Official fire Rick Dennison thread
Brand J replied to Buffalo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I said it in the shoutbox - any offensive coordinator who thinks there's value in lining up Tolbert as a wide receiver just doesn't get it. His schemes are unimaginative and he lacks creativity. He's just not a good playcaller. I really wish McD's first choice came to Buffalo. -
Fire Rico Now; be done with it.
Brand J replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's not forget Dennison was a linebacker in his playing days. I asked the question before: has there ever been a defensive player that decided to coach offense and went on to have measurable success? Rico is a bright guy, his fallback job if football didn't work out was one of those high level science careers. Unfortunately he's just not a good offensive coordinator. I would love if the Bills took the Bengals route and dismissed him during the bye week. Maybe we'd get lucky with another Anthony Lynn type if Culley was promoted, the current QB coach. Remember, Lynn had never called plays before his promotion either... -
No player should be inactive for four weeks and then be thrust into the starting lineup over a healthy starter. It means someone is either incredibly bad at evaluating that position, or said player has made threats that precipitated a change. Suffice to say we can add RG to our draft plans next year. Possibly RT as well, unless Dawkins can take one of the positions on the right side.
