  1. Allen was 24/46 for 264 with a 5.7 average 0 TDs and a 69.5 rating against one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. Watson was 20/25 for 247 with a 9.9 average, 1 TD and a 121.2 rating against one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. Is this thread still a thing?
  2. I wish we could inject Allen’s brain with Brady’s skills and knowledge of the position. None of these games would be close en route to a Super Bowl win ?
  3. Foster has much more raw talent than Duke Williams, but Williams seems to have a better feel for the position. Duke made a mistake running his route a yard short of the sticks earlier, but in general when I see him on the field, I’m not often asking “wth is he doing?” like I am with Foster.
  4. Gotta get another RT in the draft or FA. Nsekhe is old and frequently hurt.
  5. Allen is what he is... an extremely flawed QB who has the tools, desire, and work ethic to improve. I LOVE that he’s introspective and takes ownership when the offense sputters. I’d be more worried if he was “Tyrod like” and assessed the blame to “we” rather than “I”. Right now I don’t see him as a perennial “Super Bowl quality QB,” or future league MVP and last night I said we need to keep trying until we find that guy. With that said, I do believe he has what it takes to correct most of what ails him, so although he frustrates the hell outta me at times - mostly for not being at the level of the QBs we passed over - I’m gonna continue to ride with him. Here’s to hoping he gets it figured out and makes another jump in year 3. Go Bills!
  6. Allen has had his moments this season, mostly against subpar defenses, but I’m not sure if he’ll ever be a Super Bowl quality QB and if you don’t see a league MVP/Super Bowl winner when you watch him play, then you have to keep trying for that guy. I don’t think he is it.
  7. Haven’t read this thread, has anyone mentioned Drew Lock rolled out of bed and threw for more than 300? And a bunch of TDs?
  8. I’d like to see a replay of that last 4th down call. Looked like cover 0 and Beasley shook away from his man.
  9. Lamar is extremely accurate in his short to mid range game. Very difficult to stop when the defense is keyed on the run.
  10. We’ve had players open behind the defense as well, but the QB throws 5 yards over their heads.
  11. Two three & outs in a row, 2 overthrown deep balls to WRs that were open. No doubt Allen has to work on this in the off-season.
  12. “The Shark” (as in Great White) ?
  13. Contain the edges, muck up the middle and take away Lamar’s intermediate options over the middle of the field. That’s how you stop the Ravens, but it’s asking a lot. When the RPO isn’t as effective, they’re far less impressive running a traditional offense.
  14. I might have turned the game off if it was upheld. A hit in-bounds that wasn’t overly malicious is in no way shape or form a personal foul, regardless if it’s a QB is carrying the ball.
  15. I want “roughing the passer” calls to return to how they were officiated under Tagliabue. The ticky tack calls being made today are insufferable.
  16. Allen is trending in the right direction, but he’s not on Lamar’s MVP level. Hope he can eventually get there!
  17. I’ve been pretty vocal about my contempt for Star, but lately he’s playing like the early Carolina version rather than the JAG who averages less than a tackle per game; the one who was losing snaps to Harrison Phillips. He’s turned it on the past couple of weeks, effort seems much greater. Don’t know what happened behind the scenes, but I hope he continues the relentless hustle he’s shown lately. The team needs it.
  18. It was probably his best game as a Bill. He stood out for all the right reasons.
  19. I’d like for the competition committee to reassess personal fouls offsetting with run of the mill penalties in the offseason. Any personal foul committed should trump every other penalty, even if they only want to credit the offense with 5 yards before replaying the down.
  20. Sorry, dude, but you’re a joke. Obviously I know Allen does throw to covered receivers, every QB in the NFL does that. His pass last week on 3rd and 4 was to a covered Brown. Don’t tell me what I meant to say because you want to win an “argument.” He doesn’t throw successfully to covered receivers, which is why I said he doesn’t throw them open. Common sense, continue on your pedantic ways.
  21. Yeah, Allen has much room to grow. I cited the areas of improvement that are critical to elevating his game. Someone wanted to be pedantic and throw a naked stat at me because I should’ve included the word “successful” before saying he only throws to receivers that are open. But hey, that’s what we do as Bills fans I suppose ?
  22. Okay, he throws to covered receivers 14% of the time, who knows the result of those plays or if there were other receivers open during the same play. I didnt twist anything, but there you go.
  23. Oh jeez, I said Allen holds back the offense because he lacks in areas top QBs are proficient in, including throwing receivers open. He waits until receivers are open before throwing it, because that’s where the vast majority of his attempts and completions come from. A stat saying Allen throws into a tight window 14% of the time lacks a lot of context, it’s just a naked stat. It’s higher than those other QBs you referenced, but is it because he fails to see another open player during the same play? Is he completing those tight window passes? Look, I’d love to see Allen succeed, he’s QB of my team, but let’s not act like the offensive struggles are not a product of QB play.
  24. One, where did those numbers come from? And two, what’s his completion percentage in those situations versus other QBs? Allen lacks in timing, touch, anticipation, and field vision, so it’s no coincidence he doesn’t throw his receivers open. That holds back the offense. Nice try at a “debate” though.
