  1. This thread is providing some great hilarity with the teeth gnashing and whining by everyone who is on the "blame modrak for everything" train, because they've been proven wrong.
  2. i know. Merriman is the first NFL player in history to get hurt in practice. What were the Bills thinking?
  3. Buddy Nix reads the board and knew it would piss you off personally. Buddy 1, Mr negative 0.
  4. From what i found, player are eligible for the practice squad if they've played in 9 or less career games, and if they have NOT been on the active roster for an entire season. I believe the final counts as high only game, so he should be eligible for the practice squad next season.
  5. My best guess is that 4 QBs will be brought to camp, with Fitz being the starter, and a mid-round pick, Brohm, and Brown battling for the final 2 spots.
  6. Really? It's a big league wide secret that the Bills will be drafting 3-4 players and LBs?
  7. Mayock said Locker was great at getting out of the pocket and making plays on the move, but looked really bad when he had to stand in the pocket and deliver the ball. He was horribly inaccurate.
  8. What exactly, did the guy do to deserve to get fired? And what grounds does the boss have for firing him? There's absolutely nothing wrong with the guy's professional attire he wore to work.
  9. If you want a fun book that's enjoyable and light reading, check out Pirate Latitudes by Michael Crichton. The complete manuscript was found on his computer after his death and they edited it and published post-humously.
  10. If i can take any 3 players from the draft, i'd go with fairley, the #1 rated OT (be it carimi or sherrod or solder or constanzo), and patrick peterson. That way you fortify 2 levels of the defense and get the OT we sorely need.
  11. Too many people are focused on exact heights and weights supposedly "needed" to play a certain position. I could give a rat's ass if Casey Matthews is 10 pounds too light. The question is, can he play football at a high level? If that answer is yes, then i want him on the Bills. And adding 10 pounds isn't going to make a lick of difference for a LB.
  12. Yup. Flozell Adams is the reason this team was 4-12 and not 12-4.
  13. I thought we were past all of the nonsense when saint tebow was drafted, but no, we're subjected to the newton ball washing. I think that if newton ever played tebow it would be the first game in the history of the NFL where both teams won.
  14. Newton never raped anyone. Also, whats with this asinine "dedicated to his craft" phrase i keep hearing over and over on the boards? Is this going to be the dumbass cliched phrased used all offseason?
  15. So your point is that the team with the franchise QB (Rodgers) beat the team without one (Cutler). That flies in the face of your factless, baseless, asinine original argument.
  16. And winslow has been a huge reason why Tampa had the improvement they have. Freeman uses the kid all the time. In 2 years in Tampa, Winslow has averaged 72 catches for 800 yards and 5 TDs per season. You're telling me that Colt McCoy doesn't need that kind of potential at the TE position? Not to mention that winslow has grown up and matured down there as well. As for the staph problems, that was organizational. There were a handful of other players besides winslow that got staph. If we deal McKelvin, who exactly is going to play CB for us?
  17. I'll take any absolute gamechanger regardless of position (besides K or P) in the top 5 of a draft. The point of the draft is to get superstars, regardless of position. Reed, Polamalu, Revis, Asomugha, etc would all be worth top 5 picks.
  18. Good post. Too many on here are hung on player X needing to be exactly Y size and have exactly Z skills to play a specific position. Thats not true at all. Kyle Williams has the skill to play NT, so let him play NT and get some better talent around him.
  19. Exactly. With jauron still coaching the team, Ngata would be dropping into pass coverage and Revis would be playing 15 yards off the LOS.
  20. Watching Steven Tyler hit on every single female contestant was funny. After watching the people sing, i'm convinced that there is no more singing talent in the states. Idol has tapped the country dry. I'll add one caveat. There were a couple of young kids that could sing, but could really use to wait a few years until their voice grows or fills out.
  21. Most Bills players have a twitter account.
  22. McDaniels and the Broncos sure showed Cutler. I'm sure Jay would much rather play on a team with the #2 overall pick instead of leading his team to the NFC Championship. Perhaps Cutler simply wants to go out there, do his job, and then go home. Not everyone likes the spotlight. His teammates support him, and i'll take their opinion over any media members' opinion.
  23. You're making the mistake is assuming that other intelligence has to be human-like with human properties and qualities. What happens if there's a civilization out there with an organism lifespan of 250,000 years? Even a 1,000 year trip for them is nothing more than a road trip.
  24. Single college ages girls all over Dallas are rooting for the jets.
  25. I think you're mistaken. If you go to Buffalo and ask around, you'll find roughly 2,000,000 fans that were at the WC game and stayed the entire time.
