  1. I'd actually like the helmet color to stay red as opposed to white. Its a unique identifier. Us and the chiefs are the only 2 current teams with red helmets. The AFL throwbacks with red helmets are fine with me.
  2. Ponder has said down here that he's not going to throw at the combine. He's probably just there for the interviews/medical checkups.
  3. Sweet. Best uniform news since the sabres went back to the throwbacks. It seems like my Spiller white throwback will be relatively safe as well.
  4. Can someone explain to me why they think it is perfectly feasible to say Miller = Maybin, simply because they are the same weight, but its not ok to say Quinn = Maybin because both of them are/were one year wonders? So it's ok to draft risky one year wonders if they are fat?
  5. Clay Matthews was the same size as Miller coming out of college. I guess he'll never turn into a threat at LB.
  6. I agree with you on the qB situation, but Newton is not the guy to take a risk on. Regarding Freeman, he started for almost 3 full years at K-State, compared to 1 for sCam.
  7. I think what we're seeing in football is the need to pass and rush the passer as key components to why teams are winning.
  8. No you haven't. You watched the oklahoma game, and that was it.
  9. So you think Von Miller is garbage, but want sCam newton at #3? That flushing sound? It's your credibility going down the crapper.
  10. Let's get him a paver made with so much water so it's not solid. It would only be fitting.
  11. It sure as hell beats arguing over who we should have drafted the last 5-10 years. At least this has relevance. (And i'll do my best to keep this one above the level of the other thread)
  12. Great post, LA. But remember, we post on a board full of guys who have never screwed up anything. As for Aguilera, i give her credit for continuing to power through the song, when a lot of people would have simply stopped and completely lost it after the mistake. It was a mistake, plain and simple. Those of you guys clamoring for getting rid of a "performance" anthem need to remember we'd have never had the Whitney anthem if that was the mantra.
  13. A LB who can't catch is the least of your worries. Can he stay with the TE and knock the ball down in coverage? Thats what you want.
  14. Your numbers are way off. Ponder has started 32 games over 3 years here at FSU.
  15. Can you please elaborate on why "he's another Maybin"? Sam, Mike, and Will are terms used by people who want to sound like they know a lot more about football than they actually do.
  16. IIRC, Ole Whitey tried to trade up and grab the rapist, but houston would have none of it. (Why they wouldn't is beyond me)
  17. If someone is a HOFer, what does it matter when they are elected? If there weren't induction limits, all HOFers should be 1st ballot. You either are a HOFer or not. There's no such thing as a "better" HOFer.
  18. Depends on what they eventually do with all the young talent they collect. At some point they are going to have to pay to keep it. In the past, they've been unwilling to fork over the $. Its a huge concern for everyone. But what do i know. I only live in a place filled with Buccs fans.
  19. They need to prove that they are willing to shell out the bucks. They signed Donald Penn to a long contract, but this offseason will be a true test of how much the Glazers want to win as opposed to make a profit. Theyu're already talking about possibly not re-signing Barrett Ruud, which would be a big mistake.
  20. Bowers terrorized us (FSU) this season in a close 16-13 loss. He was all over the field. The only reason we won that game is because Clemson's offense had the ball in the red zone 5 times and came away with 3 points. That and we kicked a 55 yd FG as time expired.
  21. In the past, the Glazers have been much more interested in profit. We'll see how they deal with this offseason. The Buccs have a nice core of young talent in place, mainly through the draft, but also have a fair amount of free agents that will need to be re-signed. People were livid down here the last few years of the Gruden regime because the Glazers were reluctant to open their wallets.
  22. I've seen a reasonable amoutn of him down here in ACC country, and i'm impressed by what i saw. (I'm of the mind we can't go wrong with fairley/dareus/bowers/miller at #3) The guy's got the continuous hustle to go after plays, and often times blows things up in the backfield. I can't answer why the sack totals jump, but this year at Clemson, he recorded a sack in 11 of their 13 games. So its not like he piled up all his sacks against garbage opponents. One thing to consider is that these guys are young, and there are times that guys don't blossom until later on in their collegiate career when "the light goes on." Rarely do players dominate for all 3 years at the collegiate level. Even fairley didn't do much in 2009. Bowers is also listed at 280, so if he's anywhere around that, it's big enough to play 3-4 end.
  23. Nope, didn't spend more than $250. I went to 11 games at the bar this year, and spent under $150. I go because its been cheaper than sunday ticket. The NFL could make a lot more money by offering more choices at a more reasonable price.
  24. Well, duh, i do want it for free. But i'm also willing to pay a reasonable price to watch the Bills. $350 is not reasonable. $150 is. As for the cheaper price, the best they could come up with last season for my buddy was $250, with another $100 for the HD. So we went to the bar instead.
  25. Root for green bay because their team isn't filled with POS rapists, whiners, and cheap-shot artists.
