  1. People want to watch them for free because of the outrageous prices being charged by the NFL for sunday ticket. If they were to come up with a reasonable pricing strategy, more people would purchase it. Instead, they insist on gouging the **** out of the NFL fan for $400 to watch 16 games. The music industry finally came up with a system that works. Instead of paying $15 for a CD where i like 3 of the 12 songs, i can now buy just those 3 songs for $3-4. In the same vein, why should people pay $400 when they are only going to watch 1-2 games per week (seeing how all the NFL games are on at the same time, its impossible to watch all of them). Charge $100-150 for someone to get a "team" pass and lots more people will sign up.
  2. No they wouldn't. Don't you remember all the people wanting to sign him when he was a FA? Hell, people now are still posting we should go after him or trade for him to "solidify our D."
  3. Hopefully this will make the NFL re-think their policies (i highly doubt it tho). Instead of gouging people $400 to watch some football games, they could take a more tiered approach, such as letting people buy a "team season pass" or division pass for $150.
  4. Goodell is shocked that a cheater is now a liar? Goodell is getting what he deserves after burning the evidence and declaring, "nothing to see here, move along" back in 2007.
  5. Go over the American falls and the job will be "done."
  6. The redskins under snyder are what would happen if you let TBD make the decisions to run the Bills. Doug Whaley isn't young talent?
  7. DeMaurice Smith is going to go down as the guy who led the players to the slaughterhouse. They're going to get taken to the cleaners by the owners.
  8. If you watch TV over the interwebs, the terrorists win.
  9. Reaching for needs is what keeps bad teams bad. The reason good teams are good is becasue they continually take the best talent, and then subsequently keep said talent. The Bills reached for preceived "needs" with Whitner, McCargo, Lynch, Maybin, etc. Look where that got us.
  10. Loman's talent was nowhere near the talent level of Spiller. Losman was a boderline 1st-2nd round talent coming out. Spiller was universally rated top-10 talent coming out.
  11. Gailey said that Spiller has talent, character, and work ethic, and that players with those 3 skills rarely fail at the NFL level. Spiller will get there. His coaches and teammates fully believe in him. His only fault is that he's not there as fast as Bills fans wanted him to be there.
  12. You said it yourself...people forget the second and third rounds, where there will also be a chance to take some good LBs. Drafting Dareus at #3 doesn't say that Troup and Carrington suck or are busts. It speaks to the talent of Dareus, and provides a lot of flexibility along the DL. They need to take the best player.
  13. If Stroud is gone, you have Dareus, Edwards, Williams, Troup, and Carrington in a DL rotation. Having that kind of depth ensures that your DL can go full throttle for 60 minutes and never miss a beat. look at how the giants did it with their DLs. They have 5-6 really good ones that continually rotate. DLs need to rotate. You can't simply have 2 decent to good ones and expect them to play the game. And you can never go wrong with adding more DL talent. Adding a premier talent doesn't mean that the previous 2 picks were "bad" picks. It means that you are stockpiling talent.
  14. no. Its called building depth along the DL. Especially is stroud doesn't have much left in the tank.
  15. I'm not saying we should pick AJ Green, but the fact remains that Marcus Easley has done nothing to this point (although i think we're ok with Evans-Stevie-Nelson-Jones-Parrish-Roosie), and the draft is more than 1 round long. Given Buddy's draft emphasis in SD, and last year here, he tends to look for big WRs available later on in the draft, so i doubt we'll take Green at #3.
  16. +1 Chan himself said that Miller can stop the run because he has excellent technique and body control and understands leverage. Said he can play LB in a 3-4 or a 4-3. LMAO at the people who think 237 is too small but 245 would be fine. To a player who can play and bring it, that couple of lbs makes no difference. Also LMAO at the arrogant posters in this thread who thinks they "know" a player because they watched some YouTube clips. ( yes you thoner)
  17. We ran some spread but FSU with Ponder was closer to a pro style offense. We also focused on the run much more. Ponder probably split snaps 50/50 between the shotgun and under center this season.
  18. A good NT simply needs to anchor to hold the line of attack. You can have great technique and anchor without being a fat 350lb tub of crap. I swear, i don't know if it's an inferiority complex, but Buffalo fans have this odd obsession with size and always being "too small".
  19. Cocaine's a hell of a drug.
  20. I'd rather be 0-5 in the super bowl than 0-4.
  21. I've been watching the practices and recaps, and this is a complete and utter lie.
  22. Yeah, we have the last payout as the game final as opposed to 4th quarter.
  23. You've obviously never worked in government.
  24. Senior bowl recap was on the other night, and Chan said that Miller knows how to stop the run as well as rush the passer. Said stopping the run is about technique, leverage, and knowing how to handle your body, and Miller has all of those. Gailey said he's see 290lb guys that can't stop the run because they lack proper technique. The kid has racked up production, and played OLB is both a 4-3 and 3-4. He's about 240. A year or 2 in an NFL weight program and he could easily be 245-250, which is hardly "undersized".
  25. Amen to that. Also, while we're on this topic, why doesn't anyone give Joe Montana any flack for "quitting" on not 1, but 2 teams in their respective conference championship games? Greatest QB my ass. Joe was a quitter. Why is Cutler a jerk? Because he doesn't like to talk to the media? Because he simply likes to keep to himself? Karma? Please. Try reading some of these before spouting off and making yourself look like an ignorant ass. http://www.menshealth.com/mhlists/5-Ways-NFL-Players-Help/Jay_Cutler.php http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=6840 http://www.zimbio.com/Jay+Cutler/articles/54/Jay+Culter+Brandon+Marshall+Participate+Charity http://leisureblogs.chicagotribune.com/about-last-night/2009/11/vince-vaughn-and-jay-cutler-attend-greg-olsens-charity-concert.html
