I just don't see why this was a priority offseason event. He was under contract for next year. He's more valuable in our system than anyone else's - I am not too worried about a bidding war breaking out after next season. And if it did? That money would be better used on a premium position.

I’m just telling you, a good longtime poster claimed to have it on good authority that it’s not us. Don’t recall who it was. Maybe it was @Kirby Jackson?

Someone posted on good authority that we are not going to Ireland.

They are a maddeningly stubborn regime at times.

Sounds like he skipped his rehab sessions.

It was that way looking forward as well… Weren’t any of you here for Moulds? Sometimes I wonder if most of the fans here are recent bandwagoners - mixed in with old fans with dementia…🤣

Jonathan Martin and Incognito Bullygate back in the news
Coach Tuesday replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I went to college in the 90s and had plenty of fraternity brother friends and this was how they all talked to each other. Not defending it but it was the norm. -

Ugh I do not miss this era. And boy if this same event happened today it would be like driving a needle into the eye of public discord. -
Yes you are perhaps describing a player development issue moreso than a talent acquisition/scouting issue. And you could say the same thing about Beane’s free agent signings - many of them have been slow to acclimate on the field. Player development and scouting/pro personnel are related but not the same. Perhaps they’re doing some self-scouting in that regard by firing Ciano or perhaps that is totally unrelated - but on-field player development has lagged behind much of the rest of the McBeane sectors.

FINAL v3.0 now LIVE on p.15 - Gunner's 2025 Mock Draft
Coach Tuesday replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
He used one of his 3-5 yearly posts for that. On some level I deeply respect it! But he’s also wrong. -
Kinkaid. CyBo. Even Coleman. There is room for improvement with how the young guys acclimate physically.

Steelers approach Jags about a Trevor Lawrence Trade
Coach Tuesday replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
If those are the actual numbers - then yes, it would make zero sense. -
Steelers approach Jags about a Trevor Lawrence Trade
Coach Tuesday replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe they feel like they can spend considerably less than $250M to get Lawrence's level of production - a bridge QB at a much cheaper price while they search for someone who actually has a competitive light bulb burning is not a crazy thought... Also if the Jags put this out there it may be because they want to drum up a market... -
OL Alec Anderson signs exclusive rights tender
Coach Tuesday replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
There were literally decades of Bills football where OL depth was a glaring weakness every year. So nice to see that change. -
Kurt Warner's analysis of the Super Bowl
Coach Tuesday replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe. They also had weeks to scheme against us and had played us earlier in the season and every other season going back like 5 years. But yes, the overall takeaway from the SB is that the best way to win in today's NFL is to be able to "affect the quarterback" in the playoffs/SB. There are different ways to do that - pressure, disguised coverages, an elite secondary - perhaps any of those things would've helped us get past the Chiefs but instead we had none of them (for many years in a row now).
