  1. I wasn't expecting it and I wasn't surprised. They're only going to showcase players who made or didn't make the roster from the guys who they've already focused on in the show. That's why you saw what became of Jimmy Ciarlo, K.J. Hamler, Joe Andreessen, Ja'Marcus Ingram, Shane Buechele, Frank Gore Jr., Casey Rogers, and Zach Davidson on cut down day and their responses to making or not making the team. They were guys that got focused on in the show. It wouldn't have made sense from a dramatic television show storytelling standpoint and/or for people watching that aren't Bills fans to go "here's Tyrell Shavers, you've never heard of him and he wasn't on the show at all - but he made the team".
  2. It was a lot more than injuries that did Watkins in. He would party hard with Drugs and Alcohol all night into the morning and show up to Training Camp practices still drunk and high. And he had undiagnosed mental health issues. What he was able to do for a few years with the problems he had and knowing how talented he was, it's a wild thought to think of how good he could have been.
  3. I don't think it's HBO's fault that it was "lame". The Bills have final say on what goes into an episode and what ends up on the cutting room floor. Knowing how tightly knit this brass likes to keep everything, combined with the fact that they didn't even want to do the show in the first place - are you surprised we didn't get much? It's funny to me seeing a number of posters (not you specifically) who complained and worried about this being a distraction now complaining that the show lacked drama or anything of excitement. Of course it did. That was by design. The team wanted to make it as little of a distraction as possible, which is what people said they wanted.
  4. I think that depends on how literally the Depth Chart is taken. Elijah Moore is listed as a Slot. If his role on the team is mainly that, I don't know that's the role Gabe would play. Though I suppose Samuel could pick up the slack (as I doubt he'll be strictly on the Outside) alongside some slot reps for Coleman.
  5. Won't really be all that noticeable but still pretty cool. They should put the Gold patch on Josh Allen jerseys that are purchased this season.
  6. Or maybe a Wide Receiver? Lol The interesting thing about the Gabe move is he's a vet and we're at our limit there for the PS. Leads me to believe that maybe Jordan Phillips is coming up for Dewayne Carter instead of Zion Logue. Or maybe it's even more moves than originally thought. As Zion Logue coming up for Carter would mean they'd have to release one from the field of Kendrick Green, Dan Feeny, Jordan Phillips, Dane Jackson, Jordan Poyer, and Sam Franklin to allow Gabe Davis on and then we'd sign on another 1st or 2nd year player to take Logue's place.
  7. Sure, if Motley Crue and Guns n' Roses were the roadies setting up the stage and performing soundcheck to an empty house for Ghost and Greta Van Fleet and only coming in individually if a member of their bands had to leave the tour... All this fuss about bringing back Tre White, Gabe Davis, Jordan Poyer, Jordan Phillips, and Dane Jackson in the same year and only one of them is actually on the active roster.
  8. I'm surprised we haven't heard of any transactions yet like Carter being moved to IR, who's coming up from the PS, and who's being added to the PS to replace them. Guess we'll probably hear on Wednesday when they're at Practice.
  9. Our Safety room is the exact same as it was last year. Plus Jordan Hancock. And Cole Bishop in his second season. Our Safeties weren't the liability they're made out to be around here last season. They weren't anywhere near the problem Rasul Douglas, our Run Defense, and the short to intermediate Pass Defense just beyond the line of scrimmage were. Could you do better? Yes. Literally can't downgrade? That's not true at all. Especially when you look at Safety play around the league.
  10. Moving on from him before June 1st saves us around 10m on the Cap. Post June 1st, it saves 12m. If he stays healthy, produces at a rate better than the last 2 seasons, doesn't show decline, and there's a way to keep him while also saving around that same number on the Cap - that's fine. But as I said, this feels almost a direct repeat of the Tre situation last season, down to the money we'd save. Knox costs a whopping 17.1m on the Cap. We just can't have anything *close* to that. Especially with him turning 30 and averaging only 250 yards and 1.5 TD's over the past two seasons. There's obviously love for Knox in the building. But like Tre, that only goes so far when it comes to business. And getting out from that number is a no brainer business decision. I don't know if there's a feasible way to get him that low and keep him. But that's the only way it makes any sense to me.
  11. A "slight" paycut isn't remotely enough. Coming off the last two years, he'd have to have a MONSTER season to warrant even close to half. On his current trajectory of what he's done the past two seasons, entering Year 8 next season, and turning 30 - he'd be really lucky to get even a third of what he's scheduled to make on the open market. It's essentially Tre White from last year territory. The guy is loved. But the business side of things just makes his current contract basically impossible not to move on from. Especially in the Cap situation we're in with the amount of guys that will need to be replaced. Only 8.3m under with 18 of our 53 man Roster being Free Agents - including multiple starters.
  12. Unless he takes a pretty substantial paycut, he won't be a Bill next year - let alone a Bill for life. In no scenario can Dawson Knox who will turn 30 next season, count for 17+m on the Cap. He shouldn't count for 14.5 this season. But it's pretty much fully guaranteed this season (a cut would generate 13.8+m in Dead Cap), which is why he's still here. That won't be a thing next year though. We finally have an out on that insanely overpriced contract we signed him to. I like Dawson as a person and a teammate. But his 2021 and 2022 campaigns that precipitated the massive contract feel like blips on the radar. In the 2 years before that and the 2 years after - which make up 2/3 of his career, he averages 293 yards and 2 TD's a year. That is simply not enough production to warrant so much as a third of money he's under next season, when we can get out from under it.
  13. 12 Team League, picking 12th. Don't love it, don't hate it - it's just whatever: QB: Jordan Love - Green Bay Packers RB: Derrick Henry - Baltimore Ravens Treyveon Henderson - NE Patriots Breece Hall - New York Jets Trey Benson - Arizona Cardinals WR: Nico Collins - Houston Texans George Wilson - New York Jets Jerry Jeudy - Cleveland Browns Travis Hunter - Jacksonville Jaguars Rome Odunze - Chicago Bears Marquise Brown - Kansas City Chiefs Xavier Legette - Carolina Panthers TE: Dallas Goedert - Philadelphia Eagles K: Matt Gay - Washington Commanders D/ST: Buffalo Bills
  14. Compare the amount of posts on Social Media or other places like Reddit or here celebrating the fact that we have an MVP QB who made the #3 spot on the list to the amount of posts completely focusing on Lamar being a single spot above him. We've gone from 20+ years of absolutely *dying* for a QB who was simply above average to considering it some kind of slight anytime Josh isn't listed as the #1 QB in the entire NFL. When throughout history, way more often than not - that position is up for debate. Even a large portion of the discussion after Josh won MVP was less about celebrating and more about arguing with or gloating to Ravens fans. Having a QB that is consistently in the Top 1, 2, or at worst 3 QB's in the entire league, won MVP honors, was #3 (#2 QB) on the Top 100 List is an f'n dream come true. I'd rather revel in moments like these than feel slighted that our guy isn't THE unanimous #1 QB on every single list. Josh is an Elite QB, Lamar is an Elite QB.
  15. And Josh is lumped in with "they". I'm simply saying, outside of the Buffalo fanbase, there isn't this grand distinction you think that exists that definitively proves Josh is better and should be above Lamar on every list. If there were, Lamar wouldn't get the accolades he gets over Josh or ever be put above Josh. In the end, neither QB has reached the dance, let alone hoisted a trophy. And that's what it ultimately comes down to that keeps the argument alive.
  16. Awesome to see you congratulate and celebrate rather than obsess that he's *only* #3 instead of 1 or 2.
  17. I never said there isn't. I'm simply saying there isn't much of a distinction between that narrative and our own on a nationwide level. And there's absolutely a playoff narrative with Josh and the Bills too. You're just focusing on Lamar and ignoring the constant "they just can't beat the Chiefs" - which is just as loud.
  18. Removing the homer hat and being brutally honest, I don't think fans or players of the NFL outside of Bills fans and players make much distinction between Lamar and the Ravens usually going out in Round 1 or Round 2 of the Playoffs and Josh and the Bills more often going out in Round 2 or Round 3. Josh getting a game closer than Lamar more often isn't the own we think it is outside of Western NY. Josh and the Bills not being able to get over the hump is often more of a story than Lamar bc we always get so close and consistently lose to the same team. The narrative nationwide is pretty much the same. Neither man has been able to get to the Super Bowl.
  19. Is it? Bc the friggin' Raiders felt it was worth eating the amount of money they spent on him in 2024 and get caught up in an NFLPA battle over the voided guarantees just to get him out of the building. And since then, not a single team in the league has so much as given him a visit. What we've seen on the field and what we've *heard* from the Locker Room is enough to be wary of Wilkins in the building. But i'd be willing to practically guarantee that there's been things said or done beyond just what we've seen and heard that have precipitated him becoming persona non grata around the league.
  20. It's laughable to me that fans get so upset and offended anytime anyone lists a single Quarterback above ours. We have someone who is listed as #3 Player in ALL of the NFL across all positions and just won the MVP award. Many list him as the #1 Quarterback in all the NFL. Yet it's always considered some sort of slight when someone prefers a different Quarterback - even if they still list Josh as #2 or #3. How spoiled we've become.
  21. It's hilarious to me when we lose like the last person on the depth chart who might not even dress on Sunday's and OP is like "replace them with a Superstar!". It's Dewayne friggin' Carter. They'll bring up someone from the Practice Squad and replace that person on the Practice Squad with someone else Wilkins isn't gonna be a Backup. They aren't going to sit Oliver. And why would we want to give less reps to T.J. Sanders and Deone Walker? And that's not even taking into account the culture fit. It's just a "No" anyway you look at it
  22. How is this a "Fake Tush Push"? The pusher is lined up 5 yards behind the QB. Interesting play. But it's barely a fake QB sneak.
  23. That's a fair point. But that doesn't mean it can't be done. It would just mean one of Kendrick Green, Dan Feeny, Jordan Phillips, Dane Jackson, Jordan Poyer, or Sam Franklin are moved off and replaced with a developmental guy. I don't think it's crazy to think they'd move on from one of their two vet Center's in Kendrick Green or Dan Feeny or one of their two vet Safeties in Jordan Poyer or Sam Franklin to bring back one of Ankou or Jefferson. Likely the 2nd IOL, as Franklin is more ST's than Safety. As the 1T spot is one injury away from being called up and whoever the last man on the totem pole is at Center is two injuries away from being called up.
  24. So because we have experienced players at other positions, we have to bring in a developmental player at a position of need that would be 1 injury away from being called up to the 53? I don't see the logic.
