  1. The one silver lining about having so many things that need to be addressed is that it makes it unlikely that we'll be in a position where value doesn't meet need. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying you pigeon hole those 3 positions and reach for guys to fill need. But I think there will be players that fill those needs when we're on the clock. If not, you trade up or trade down to spots where those needs fit value. And luckily, we have a lot of capital to be able to move around the board.
  2. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. AJ Brown to the Eagles and Hollywood Brown to the Cardinals are the biggest that spring to mind for me. I've remembered some lesser players traded for Day 3 picks before, but I can't recall who they were. It's not something you see regularly. And if we're talking about Cook again, he's not getting you much. It's not worth trading him. Whatever you'd get, you'll eventually end up getting back as a Comp pick anyways at a later date. Probably even more if he has a great season this year and someone pays him what he wants.
  3. Yes, there was a massive issue with getting open and creating separation last season. And ultimately, with the season on the line, our pass catchers let us down. And it wasn't just Dalton Kincaid infamously not coming down with that catch on 4th Down. We were kept in the game by Mack Hollins and James Cook playing with their hair on fire. Everyone else provided little to nothing. Mack isn't here anymore. And we're not only hoping guys like Keon Coleman and Dalton Kincaid (who were publicly criticized by the brass) and Curtis Samuel provide more than they did last year - we're relying on it. We're also relying on Joshua Palmer to definitively be more than he's been his whole career. And from a numbers standpoint, we're down a guy. We've lost Mack Hollins and Amari Cooper and gained Joshua Palmer. WR was something I feel should have been upgraded. Instead, it feels we're banking on guys being more than they've been and/or essentially rolling it back. 1T is a definitive need. We have no one to rotate with Daquan Jones and Jones shouldn't be starting anymore. I actually wanted him outright replaced. It's as important of a need as any on this team. But CB is equal to that and WR is also a heavy need. If it were up to me and if the board fell right, we'd be taking a 1T, a CB, and a WR with our first 3 picks - in whatever order the value was at the point of selection. Yet, even after 3/4 of our "definitively will be on the roster" street Free Agent signings (Bosa, Hoecht, and Ogunjobi) were Defensive Lineman - i'm constantly seeing posts like the one I initially replied to saying 2/3 or all 3 of our top picks should be going to DL. It's baffling to me. As I said in another post, it feels like people watched the Super Bowl and only saw the DL. Without recognizing they were able to do what they did because the secondary was able to eliminate the short passing game with superior talent and a physical man scheme and also because the high powered offense was able to score at will - putting the game out of reach early and forcing KC to go one dimensional to keep up. Right now, we have none of those other things and to focus entirely on DL would keep it that way. Many posters wants and Mock Drafts appear as if DL is our only need. And that's far from the case, in my opinion.
  4. I'd doubt it would get you even that high. I agree that trading him is not worth the return. Have him playing his hardest in a push for the Super Bowl this year. And if you can't get him back, the comp pick that will eventually come will be the same or potentially more than you'd get not having him this year anyways.
  5. Cook isn't getting you very far. He's a Running Back. In the last year of his deal. Who's publicly angling for a top dollar contract. Being traded in a year of a very good Running Back class. All of those things make his value take a hit. And trades have been lower than expected this year. Even DK Metcalf went for just a low 2nd. Joe Milton who was expected to yield something more was traded with a 7th for a 5th. The same exact trade (with a 7th for a 5th) was done for Deebo Samuel. Cook's actual value (as opposed to some of the ridiculous valuations he's been given on this board) probably has a ceiling of a high 4th. Package a high 4th with Pick 30, you're not going up the board more than a pick or two.
  6. Said it once, i'll say it a million times - you're not "completely transforming the Defense" by rolling back the same secondary and LB's and going crazy on DL. It'll improve run Defense, for sure. But QB's had no problem negating the pass rush all season by getting the ball out quickly with ease against our pass coverage, by way of subpar to average talent in the Secondary (outside of Benford) and the Zone scheme being picked apart with people constantly out of position. All season long against quality opponents, it seemed like the opposing QB took the snap, dropped back, one mississippi two mississippi - ball out. Meanwhile, Josh had to run all over the field and hope someone got open. Even the most talented line isn't going to blow up the opposing teams OL every snap and get back there that quickly. We definitely need to improve the Line, no doubt about it. But we also have to improve the Secondary. Just focusing on DL will have teams continuing to quick pass on us and just focusing on Secondary will have teams running all over us. We need to do both.
  7. Shavon Revel Jr.'s ACL tear makes for an interesting situation. He tore it on 9/18/24. Which would make Week 1 just about 1 full year from injury. So he should be ready to play by then. But will he be able to do anything in Training Camp or the Pre-Season? And would McDermott start a Rookie who hasn't played Football in a year and is making the leap from College to the Pro's on top of that - especially if he's limited or a no go in the Offseason? I think talent wise, if he were to fall to 30 or within striking range - you have to heavily consider him the pick. Though I do worry about McDermott's conservative nature when it comes to his contributions in Year 1. I'd say start Dane Jackson for a little while, easing Revel in and replacing Jackson as soon as possible. But as we saw with Bishop's injury last year and Hamlin starting in his place - I could see a scenario where if he started Jackson it would just be Jackson's job all year with a focus on Revel in Year 2.
  8. Some fans around here think James Cook is worth a 2nd too and they're just as wrong.
  9. You shouldn't go by that chart. That's the antiquated Jimmy Johnson model developed in the late 80's. It even says on the description of that very chart: "Teams are reported to use a revised trade value model in recent years, as discussed by Bill Belichick. Drafttek provides an alternate trade value model, developed by Rich Hill of Pats Pulpit, which we believe more accurately reflect the trades of the past several years" This is the more accurate, modern version you should go by: https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart-Rich-Hill.asp
  10. I just saw two co-stars laughing and having a good time together. Crazy thought: maybe they're friends.
  11. Probably someone else who would (or should) add the question, just as they did, "is this a fair trade?" - to which they can find out, like they did ... it isn't. It's fun to think about fleecing a team in a trade. But that's not something you ever really see in Draft Trades. As dumb as some posters think Jerry Jones is - its not like you seeing him doing dumb trades all over the place. And that's exactly what this would be.
  12. Spoiler alert: it's not. And Hansen is being kind by saying he "thinks" it's too high of a valuation on Cook. It's way too high.
  13. Yep. Rasul Douglas is def a member of TwoBillsDrive and is "seeing this".... If he were to be brought back, obviously i'd want him to do well. But if the Bills thought he wasn't what his stats (or simple eye test) showed last season - he'd have been a priority re-sign. Or he'd have been a Priority Free Agent for another team. The idea that he's going to bounce back at 31 years old is against conventional wisdom. The Rasul Douglas that's out there right now is not the Rasul Douglas of 2-3 years ago. But you know the name, so f-ck conventional wisdom, "i've heard of 'em!"
  14. As I said in my post on the first page, Drafting 2 Rookies and signing Rasul would have us cutting 2 of those 3 players (or one of them plus Dane). We only keep 5. If we find ourselves in a situation like 2022 where the guy we pick high (in that case, Elam) is outperformed by the guy we Drafted low (Benford) - then you're in a spot where you aren't going to cut either and you'll have to cut Douglas and Jackson. We passed on re-signing Douglas for a reason. He's sitting out there while teams are in dire need for a CB for a reason. He's not worth bringing back.
  15. You say "Allen can score with anyone". I say when we give him subpar to average weapons, we rely on Josh to play like Superman way more than we should. Anything less than superhuman to overcome the lack of talent and we're in trouble in big games. How often last season were we watching plays come easy to our opponents, ball out quickly while Josh scrambled around searching for someone to get separation and get open for him? Against the best teams and the best Defenses - just "anyone" isn't enough. If it was enough, we wouldn't constantly be hitting a ceiling of losing in the AFC Championship. If it was enough, we wouldn't have been leaning on James Cook to keep us alive in the Chiefs game (who most fans want to get rid of too bc their feelings are hurt) - only for Dalton Kincaid to fail us with the game on the line. We're failing Josh Allen by surrounding him with a WR core that's lacking on a regular basis.
  16. Agreed. He's playing hardball and Beane's playing hardball - but in the end, as things stand right now, I don't see him sitting out anything more than Training Camp at most. He wants that money. He's not going to get it based on what he's done and then sitting out and/or playing subpar ball in his contract year. His brother threatened to Hold Out in 2020. He ended up not even missing any of Training Camp. For what his Trade Value is (which is much lower than most posters think it is) - better to have him playing his hardest for us in the Playoffs. Everyone's in their feels. But Beane isn't. Until he starts mouthing off like Diggs or something (where he starts taking shots at teammates and tries to force himself off of the team), there's no reason for him not to be here.
  17. So you're banking on Jerry Jones' idiocy and him throwing out the Chart that the Cowboys and all teams go by or paying the price of above a mid 2nd Round Pick for James Cook alone to make the trade work - which is more than DK friggin' Metcalf went for? Okay... sure 😆
  18. You're still not even close. 12 is worth 347 points 30 is worth 196 points A 2026 3rd equates to a 2025 4th - that's worth 18 points (where teams would expect us to be picking) James Cook's value with all the things working against him (RB, last year of his deal, public angling for a top dollar contract for position, and being traded in a year of a good RB class) is probably topping out at a mid-4th (if we're lucky) - which is worth about 25 points. Proposed Bills trade package - 239 Which will move you to... Pick 24. You want to move up 18 picks and your package would move us up 6 picks. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart-Rich-Hill.asp
  19. I used to like McAfee's show. But as time has gone by and he's said and done different things - his shtick has kind of run it's course with me. Even in WWE.
  20. She said the Red and Yellow works well together, their fans are loud, and they bring it for their team. She couldn't handle the wings and was doing whatever she could to avoid having to eat one. Prefaced it by saying that she can say three things nice about anybody if she has to.
  21. So because Elam was a bust that means we shouldn't ever take a CB in the 1st Round that is a long physical corner with some speed?
  22. We keep 5 CB's total generally, including Taron at Nickel (Codrington was the "6th" last year, but it was just for his Return role - otherwise they'd just have 5, with Cam Lewis as a floating backup NCB/S/ST hybrid). Right now we have: Christian Benford Taron Johnson Dane Jackson Ja'Marcus Ingram Add Douglas and a "Draft a couple CB's" - and we'd need to cut 2 from that field. Ingram's been in our system for years and they like him quite a bit as a Reserve DB and Special Teamer. So you'd most likely be looking at one of Douglas or Jackson being cut, as well as one of the Rookies. Which depending on where they were taken, might not even be an option. Douglas is simply not worth bringing back. And their actions to this point say he wasn't in the plans. To go back to him would constitute a failure in addressing the position, in my opinion. I'd honestly trust Dane Jackson before Rasul Douglas, at this point. I think the team feels the same way.
  23. Cam played more Safety for us last season than he did CB. He's a DB swiss army knife. He was a primary backup at both Safety and Nickel. Lately if you were going to say what his "primary" role is based on usage (mainly to injuries to Rapp and Hamlin) - it would be Safety.
  24. Let's not and say we did. Load up the DL all you want. It'll help the run game. But as far as pressure, roll back the same secondary and that ball's flying out of the QB's hand lightning fast and negating the rush - as was the case all last year. Another year older and Douglas may be even worse than he was last year. There's a reason why we were in no rush to re-sign him and he's still floating around right now when teams need CB's. He was abysmal last season. I think he's hit the wall.
  25. Why? Because he's a physical boundary CB with some length and speed that has a late 1st Round grade on him?
