  1. Unless Latitu Latu miraculously falls to us (in which case, take him) - there isn't a DE in this class for my money that would be good value at 28. Chop Robinson is a total project. He had minimal production in College and is *extremely* raw fundamentally. And Darius Robinson, the next highest rated prospect would be a big time reach at 28.
  2. We just need 1 of them for things to be scary. Combine one of them with Diggs, Samuel, Shakir, and Kincaid and that's a LOADED core. A second one would get buried in reps and barely see any touches. You don't spend a 2nd for such a small role with all the other holes we have.
  3. He just named off the top prospects in the same order as anyone else would. Samuel, Shakir, Kincaid, and Gabe were talked about by him because they were *specifically* asked about or brought up by Kyle and Jordan. If Diggs had been asked about specifically, he would have talked about him too. If Diggs was talked about, you'd find a way to twist it into some kind of proof of something in your mission to move him. Now even him NOT being talked about is somehow proof of something to you 🙄 I'm surprised you didn't find a secret message in their few minutes of golf talk that pertained to Diggs needing to be moved in your eyes.
  4. There's still guys like Yannick Ngakoue, Emmanuel Ogbah, Carl Lawson, and Michael Danna available. Teams could release someone after the Draft depending on who they Draft. And Yannick didn't sign until very late last offseason. There's still a good chance we sign someone after 6/1 when Tre's money comes in.
  5. I'd say the Offensive Line he was running behind and the QB and Passing Game, or lack there of, he had to open up the Run game didn't help things. You can point to averages. But considering a.) what's out there and b.) what he was able to put up statistically elsewhere last year as an RB2 - I think he's maybe the top option available. He had one game last season where he was the starter and he basically carried them to victory - https://heavy.com/sports/new-england-patriots/ezekiel-elliott-nfl-cowboys/
  6. Literally me when someone mentions Troy Franklin in Round 1 still: https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxjELuuXoO_GJMPSrqpCSJdfJRIAL64mpp (Clip won't embed for some reason)
  7. Agreed on Elliott. Every time he's brought up, people say he's toast. He's not. He put up 955 yards last season and wasn't the Starter. In the one game he played bellcow with Stevenson down last season, he put up 140 yards. Is he the same Top 3 RB he was a number of years ago? No. But he still has juice. And as an RB2 in a committee? He's a very good option there. Especially at the price tag. And he's still only 28 years old after all his time in the league. He also plays a very good complimentary style to Cook. I hope he's still around after the Draft. I feel like the plan is to assess the Draft first and if the board doesn't fall the way we want, then we'll call up a veteran FA. We visited with Braelon Allen and Audric Estime. Braelon Allen is the perfect compliment to Cook. But I fear he may go too high. If he's there in the 4th though? I think we'd pull the trigger. But if not, yeah, I want Zeke too. Either Zeke in FA or Braelon Allen in the Draft. That's my hope for RB2. If we don't take one in the Draft and Zeke's gone or not the guy - then I think we're looking at Clyde Edwards-Helaire or Cam Akers.
  8. Awesome for Tre! I know people heard Beane and got their hopes up for him coming back. Never saw that as likely and as much as I'd have loved to see him back on the Bills - it seemed to be more of a "if he has no other options, he can be cheap depth" type of scenario. I want more for him. Glad he got it.
  9. You know you can do this with anyone right? Adonai Mitchell: - Intensity can fluctuate from game to game. - Allows smaller players into his space to contest catches. - Cradle-catcher who fights football when catching with hands. - Needs to keep routes on time with better efficiency and finish. - Doesn’t play with aggression or sustain when asked to run block. Ladd McConkey: - Modest play strength could create issues in beating press. - Limited production in 2023 due to back and ankle injuries. - Alarming number of deep ball-tracking drops in 2022. - Average acceleration driving through route stems. Xavier Worthy: - Thin and lacking functional strength to fight through press. - Needs to improve efficiency and quickness getting off the ball. - Lack of hand strength gets him bullied on contested catches. - Takes reps off when he’s not expecting the throw to come his way. - Fails to adjust his speed to ball placement consistently enough. Brian Thomas Jr.: - Needs to pick up his route pace and salesmanship as a pro. - Will battle occasional focus drops. - Can avoid catch contact by working back to the throw. - Fast but possesses average run-after-catch talent. - Might need to ramp up physicality against clingy coverage.
  10. A FEW years older than the other WR's? There isn't a Top WR in this Draft he's a full 3 years older than. By the time the Draft rolls around there's going to be people saying he's 30. Sure, after spending 5 years in College and some coming out after 3, there's a total of 4 WR's in my Top 22 guys that he's over 2 years older than. And of those 4, there isn't one he's even 2 and 1/2 years older than. Legette isn't even the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd oldest amongst my Top 22 WR's in this Draft. Ricky Pearsall, Jamari Thrash, and Cornelius Johnson are older than Xavier Legette. Roman Wilson, Devontez Walker, Luke McCaffrey, and Jermaine Burton are under 6 months younger than Legette. Hell, everyone's favorite WR Ladd McConkey isn't even a full 10 months younger than he is. Yet when people talk of Pearsall, McConkey, Wilson, and others - their age is never brought up or looked at as a concern. But with Legette, he's considered *ancient*. If Legette's age is SUCH an issue, so should it be a concern mentioned for favorites like Pearsall, Wilson, and McConkey. Date of Birth: Ricky Pearsall - 9/9/00 Cornelius Johnson - 11/29/00 Jamari Thrash - 12/19/00 Xavier Legette - 1/29/01 Luke McCaffrey - 4/2/01 Roman Wilson - 6/19/01 Devontez Walker - 6/19/01 Jermaine Burton - 6/28/01 Ladd McConkey - 11/11/01 Jalen McMillan - 12/7/01 Javon Baker - 2/18/02 Brendan Rice - 3/18/02 Malachi Corley - 3/21/02 Ja'Lynn Polk - 4/11/02 Rome Odunze - 6/3/02 Marvin Harrison Jr. - 8/11/02 Adonai Mitchell - 10/8/02 Brian Thomas Jr. - 10/18/02 Troy Franklin - 2/6/03 Xavier Worthy - 4/27/03 Keon Coleman - 5/17/03 Malik Nabers - 7/28/03
  11. It's an overpay even on the Trade Chart. 17 is worth 296. 28 and 60 equal out to 297.
  12. Agreed. Neck injuries aren't nothing to mess with. Especially when you're the kind of RB that he is. If he wanted to go, he'd have definitely at least been RB3 for somebody. We take it for granted sometimes as fans as soon as we see the thumbs up - often wondering how long it will be before they're back on the field. But I can't imagine how terrifying it must be, even for a few seconds, to not be able to move or lose the feeling in your extremities. I hope there's no long term damage done and he just got out because he realized there's more to life than Football and didn't want to experience that again. Safe and happy travels, Damien!
  13. Harrison would require 3 1st's and probably more. You aren't getting a team to move from 4 to 28, giving up a generational level talent at a position of need for Arizona, beating out the teams looking to get up in that area for a QB, and with the knowledge that we consistently pick between 25 and 30 for anything less than that. People like to quote the Cleveland-Atlanta trade for Julio Jones as comparison. That was 15 picks. Or the Buffalo-KC trade for Patrick Mahomes. That was 17 picks. This is 24. As I've said before, when it comes to trading into the Top 5 when there's heavy competition and generational talent in play like Harrison - you can throw the ole' Trade value chart out the window. It would have to be an overpay and probably a substantial one to make that kind of move.
  14. I figured he would come back as our Practice Squad QB. With Russell Wilson and Justin Fields in house - that's pretty much his ceiling in Pittsburgh anyways.
  15. And I've mentioned this a couple times before, but imagine if Minnesota had spent a boat load of picks to trade up to Draft a higher ranked prospect instead of staying put and taking the 5th WR off the board in Justin Jefferson. It's no guarantee the higher rated prospect at any position in any class is going to end up the better NFL player. It's practically irresponsible to pay a King's Ransom for a "better" WR in a class that has (in my book) EIGHT WR's with a 1st Round grade.
  16. Nope. And beyond that John Lynch today said they're currently negotiating back and forth (thus the tweet) and that he has no interest in moving him.
  17. A Diggs pre-6/1 trade exists as a reality only in your own head.
  18. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39807778/49ers-gm-aiyuk-not-available-trade-contract-talks-underway
  19. Okay - then in you and I knowing that, why would you suggest "This won’t fly with the too small slot only people"? I fundamentally disagree with what we have and what we don't have on the roster, that a pure slot (and that's what Corley is) is in play for us at even 60. In Samuel (a 50+% Slot guy), Shakir (a pure slot), and Kincaid (playing as a big slot moreso than at TE with his hand in the dirt) - we are absolutely LOADED there already. Even Diggs lines up in the Slot sometimes. There's a major reason why players who are considered pure slots or even 50/50 guys are looked down upon here as options and "aren't allowed to be talked about", as you put it. It doesn't fit to "offset" what we have, as Beane talked about yesterday. Corley is not someone you can play on the Outside in the Pro's, even a little bit. Steve Smith, who's his biggest cheerleader even said so.
  20. You're most likely going to be extremely disappointed then. There's an outside chance of BTJ, though it's unlikely. The others are a pipe dream. As we get closer, you get more unrealistic. I'd focus on BTJ as the ceiling of a potential trade up or potential fall, then Mitchell, Legette, Worthy, and McConkey. It's incredibly unlikely (borderline foolish) to give up a multiple 1st's plus more for a better prospect when there's multiple 1st Round talents available to us wherein we have to give up nothing. A higher rated prospect doesn't guarantee that they'll be the best Pro player. We did that for Sammy Watkins when we could have just drafted OBJ. The Vikings could have traded up from where they were to take a higher rated prospect instead of staying where they were and Drafting WR5 in Justin Jefferson.
  21. We send scouts to look at most everyone with Pro Potential. Even if it's someone who isn't likely to be Drafted by us because of what's on our roster now. It's part of the information gathering we do on players not only for the Draft, but in the years that follow in the Free Agency and Trade market. Scouting players and keeping files on guys isn't exclusive to just that year's Draft.
  22. Great player, but pure slot. He'll be a good one for somebody, but isn't a fit for us this year.
