  1. No, it's that Daquan Jones is coming back either this week or next week and we still have another Phil Mathis call up. Wherein we have Larry Ogunjobi and literally nothing else behind him at 3T and we've used all 3 of Jordan Phillips call up's.
  2. This also means there's two veteran spots open on the Practice Squad.
  3. Meyers, definitely. If not likely after the Lockett addition yesterday. Olave is not. Everyone under the sun, between the team and reporters have said he won't be traded. Beyond that, it's been reported that the Saints and Olave are working towards an extension. There was a possibility if he rebuffed their advances they'd move him. But he isn't doing that. Shaheed or Cooks is a different story. Jordan Addison? I don't know where all the talk of him is coming from. Is it just that they're a losing franchise? Bc no one of substance is talking about a potential Addison trade. Just "what if" scenarios from randos.
  4. I'm sorry, did you say TWO 1st's and a 3rd... for Jordan Addison?! I mean, I like Addison. But that's insane. Tyreek Hill went for a 1st, a 2nd, 2 4th's, and a 6th in 2022. We got Stefon Diggs in 2020 for a 1st, a 5th, and a 6th. Addison isn't 2020 Diggs or 2022 Tyreek. I get the idea of trying to blow someone away with a trade. But if we're trading away multiple 1st's and a 3rd - it had better be a Top 10 WR1 in the league. That would be a major overpay. That's like a Quarterback trade.
  5. I don't see Tucker being moved. Meyers is the guy that Vegas would trade, if anybody. And I think the Tyler Lockett acquisition today forecasts that. If you want speed and deep ball, it's Rashid Shaheed.
  6. I do, actually. I think Keon has looked rough as a starter and has taken a step back in a Sophomore slump. There's no disputing that. But he's a better blocker (he was actually very good at that this week) and has shown (although very inconsistently) the ability to make some plays, lined up on quality NFL CB's. More often than not, the team's best CB. Shavers has not. He hasn't been making plays lined up against teams 2nd or 3rd CB's. For all his speed, he can not get open any better than Coleman can. If you want someone to get more reps than Coleman, WR6 on the depth chart wouldn't be my first thought. Shavers has shown absolutely nothing to deserve such a promotion. Coleman's the punching bag bc he was supposed to be the guy. But if it were just Coleman providing nothing we wouldn't be nearly as bad off as we are. The truth is, they've all been atrocious at getting open. Even Shakir, as good as he is in the open field and for as shifty as he is, can't get separation. That's why we're seeing so many screen passes at the line. The answer is simply not on the active roster. Best we can hope for is a Trade for the best guy we can get, Kincaid/Palmer getting back to 100%, and elevating Davis when he's ready.
  7. I was with you up until this. Shavers has no business being on the field, period. He's not an NFL caliber WR. He looks decent enough lined up against other Practice Squad players and guys who will be out of the league during the Pre-Season. He's one of only 3 WR's on the roster to dress every game this year and has gone without a catch in 5 of the 7 games. He has not earned more playing time. If you think Coleman has a hard time getting open, you should watch Shavers running routes against actual NFL CB's. The only thing Shavers should be doing is being the first guy out to make room for whomever we Trade for and/or Gabe Davis when he's ready.
  8. So you think we're better off with Tyrell Shavers, who has gone without a catch in 5 games while being dressed for all of them? Or Elijah Moore who has a total of 5 catches for 78 yards? Or Curtis Samuel, who's played in only 3 games and has a total of 3 catches for 35 yards? I vehemently disagree with this notion that we're better off not using him when that's what we're getting out of HALF of our WR core.
  9. It should be both. Get the best WR you can in here via trade and elevate Gabe Davis. If everyone stays healthy and there's no one to IR, release Tyrell Shavers and Elijah Moore. Any upgrade over the pathetic WR room we have, no matter how small, should be exercised.
  10. "Not a 3 Down Back" "Not a Top 10 RB in this league" "Isn't even worth 10m a year" "We'd be better off with Ray Davis"
  11. You aren't seeing the forest from the trees. No one is pinning their hopes that he's our savior. But when you have a WR core that is filled with guys who can't get open, aren't producing, or in some cases (definitely Shavers) aren't NFL caliber WR's - Gabe Davis is an upgrade over at least a couple of the guys we have. I'm not saying get Gabe in here and we're set. Definitely see if you can get someone else in the Trade market (although Jakobi Meyers or Rashid Shaheed seem to be the only realistic options) as well. But any upgrades at any of the 6 spots on the Depth Chart should be made if possible. We need all the help we can get. You can put all the vomit emoji's you want. If you think we're not vomiting more from what we're getting from Tyrell Shavers or Elijah Moore - you're fooling yourself. Yeah. He also never had less than 549 yards or 6 TD's in a single year for us. Buffalo career highs of 836 yards and 7 TD's in 3 of his 4 years for us. I hate to break it to you, but guys like Tyrell Shavers (5x this season), Elijah Moore (2x this season), and Curtis Samuel have ALL put in 0 catch games for us already. And it's only been 7 games! Of course, Gabe Davis is more like eating at McDonald's than a 5 star restaurant. But when you're eating out of a literal garbage can, McDonald's is pretty enticing. Yeah, Hollins isn't an option though. Nor is there a Davante Adams level WR to be traded for this year. Likely the best we can hope for is something like a Jakobi Meyers and Gabe Davis replacing guys like Tyrell Shavers and Elijah Moore on the roster. It's insane to me that people honestly feel like we'd be better off just doing what we're doing over trying everything we can at our disposal. And Gabe Davis over any number of guys we have now would be an upgrade.
  12. I assume you're joking - but either way, he isn't. He's done for the year.
  13. He was great on Special Teams. And he was a great blocker. But in 20 games for us last season, including 15 starts - he caught 36 balls, for 481 yards, and 6 TD's. Not even 500 yards on 20 games and 15 starts is pretty poor numbers. Everyone considers Josh Palmer a bust, yet his yardage total is at half of Hollins' 20 game output in just 5 and a quarter games. The warm fuzzy nostalgia for Hollins by this fanbase is out of control.
  14. I think it's true that it's not a good year to be relying on the Trade market to improve your team. There is no Davante Adams or even Amari Cooper (at the perceived level he was at before he came here) available that is perceived as a massive upgrade. That said, when you're in the position we're in, even options like Jakobi Meyers or Rashid Shaheed are upgrades over a number of guys we have. And any potential upgrade should be made, even if it isn't a super exciting one. I'm prepared for people balking at a move like that and people saying "that's it?!". But it may represent the best available options to us.
  15. I don't think this is a Super Bowl contending team. There's the lack of talent in many spots on Offense and Defense, as well as guys we count on not performing as well this year. There's the ever growing list of injuries that pile up weekly, to key players like Ed Oliver, now down for the year. There's schematic issues and questionable coaching. And Josh Allen, while still great, isn't performing at the perfect MVP level he was last year to make up for all of this. On top of all that, New England has the same cushy schedule. And after Drafting well the past few years, getting a good Head Coach, acquiring talent like Diggs (who's against all odds, came off an ACL tear and seemingly turned back the clock to his prime), and beating us in our first encounter - winning the Division seems a tall task. We have to beat them in their own house and then beat their record on top of it - while they're a game up on us. This is why I'm a little hesitant to give up our 1st in a trade next year. I don't think this team is 1 WR away from winning a Championship. I do think there's a pretty fair potential that our 1st for next season is significantly higher than normal, finally in a spot to get a true difference maker instead of relying on guys at the bottom of the Round who don't have a 1st Round Grade. Right now, I see Wild Card as our route and it's pretty rough sledding with the meteoric rise of teams like Indianapolis, Denver, and New England.
  16. That's just it, isn't it? Gabe Davis isn't a guy you want starting for you and was maligned as a starter for us. But when you look at what we're rolling out at WR, especially lower on the depth chart, Gabe is an upgrade. Maybe not a massive one, but an upgrade nonetheless. And when it comes to what we're rolling out, any upgrade of any kind at any of the 6 spots on the depth chart should be welcomed.
  17. Our only alternative was to match or beat New England's offer of not only money, but a starting role. Hollins was never supposed to have as big of a role as he did for us. As much as he's loved, people overestimate what he did for us last season. He was a sub 400 yard guy for us last season. You don't want to start Mack Hollins - you want to do better than that. On paper and in terms of skill, Joshua Palmer is a better WR than Hollins. As much of a disappointment as he's seemed (especially with the injury now) - he still has 234 yards in under 6 games vs. Mack's 378 for 17 games.
  18. I think Meyers or Shaheed is the best we're going to do. Olave isn't happening bc they're both (Olave and the Saints) trying to get an extension done. A.J. Brown isn't going anywhere. Garrett Wilson most likely isn't going anywhere and if he does, it 100% won't be to us. Same with Jaylen Waddle. Brian Thomas Jr. *might* have a small, outside shot of being moved, if the Jags are blown away by an offer. But they came out to say he won't. I think we should still try - but I don't think it's very likely. Lockett being signed today is probably a sign that the Raiders will be moving Meyers. And again, there's a good chance he's the best we can do. Try and swing for BTJ. But if Meyers is what we can do, we should do it. He's a clear upgrade over anyone in the WR room not named Shakir. Same goes for Shaheed. Go get one of them, get Davis on the field as soon as you can. Have them replace Shavers and Moore on the active roster (or Samuel if he gets hurt again) and hope for the best. Obviously, fans want more than that. But any potential upgrade is better than nothing at all. And it's likely this or nothing at all.
  19. I wouldn't expect T.J. Sanders coming back anytime soon. He has Knee Surgery like 2-3 weeks ago. While nothing reconstructive, he still had to go under the knife on his knee. He was IR'ed with Damar Hamlin. When it happened, all that was said is that he liked Sanders chances of "possibly" returning at some point more than Hamlin's. But he was also deemed out Indefinitely at that time, like Oliver. I think with him, people heard that and assumed it was a Short Term IR incorrectly. 4 weeks and back. I don't think that's the case. I think McDermott was saying just that Hamlin is definitely done for the year and Sanders *may* be back at some point. But didn't rule out he doesn't. I wouldn't expect him back until the end of the season, if at all. He talks of the recovery of injured players like Jones and how they hope they'll have him back soon. He isn't saying that about Sanders.
  20. We've got a QB with WR's that can't open. Rashid Shaheed is a WR who can get open, but a QB that can't hit him.
  21. Thank you! This idea that his wife telling him "he's more than a Football player" definitively means he's not putting in as much work and focus into Football is ridiculous. There's a million ways you can take that statement. Maybe she's saying he can help people more. Maybe that means he doesn't have to let his performance on the field dictate how he feels about himself. His performance on the field has nothing to do with who he goes home to at night. She has no effect on his work in the building during the week. And she was with him all last season when he was MVP.
  22. I said it all off-season, the hatred for Cook reached ridiculous levels. All bc he wanted to be paid what he deserved and put out a couple social media posts People let their anger got to a point where they truly believed that Ray Davis and Ty Johnson were just as good. Pure insanity. Not to put this poster on blast. But this one almost made my head explode when I read it 😄
