  1. We will see - LT in an offense near the bottom of pass attempts last season, on an offense not distinguished for long-developing pass plays, and AFAIK a team that had a marked preference for going right in the run plays. He played aside an OL remarkably free of injuries through the last season. Peters chose not to report. It's reasonable for you ,I, and the Bills to speculate if he is damaged goods. Sorry if I impugn, but he wouldn't be the first player or agent to pull a fast one.
  2. Few posters here remember - or were even alive - when Atty. Gen Robt. Kennedy, LBJ, and FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover were calling the shots.
  3. CIN signed their FB, Jeremi Johnson, to the highest NFL FB contract prior to last season. So he shows up grossly overweight, to the point that they put him on the PUP list. Bonus check already cashed, of course. It's all about the Benjamins...
  4. I wonder what's up, too. OSU gets a lot of play in the Cincy area, and Pitcock was always portrayed as a hard worker, a good guy, good team player.
  5. Well-paid millionaires not getting in shape?
  6. Any idea why Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have refused to allow a discussion and possible vote about ANWR oil resources?
  7. Same for the ones in this or that bar. They have to be up in the list of ATM toxicity. An establishment I habituated a few years ago had one, along with a small "pony keg" window front and a Lottery terminal. The lotto crowd spilled into the bar to get cash out of the ATM ($3 fee) then trot back to the dream machine. The bar owner once asked me - reliable barfly that I was - if I'd like a job manning the lotto device. No thanks - they has stools so a Moms Mably could sit and rattle off 50 numbers and change them ten times. Last time I was there, they canned a previously defrocked cop clerk for chiseling on scratch-offs. They ended up eating something like 800 bucks. That bar also got stung with scratch-off payouts. Their dizzy night barmaids, with an eye to fat tips (knock-out gals for the obvious reasons) were cashing bogus tix after their State of Ohio Official Money-Making machine was off for the night. Another scam going on was some patrons working a rip on other patrons - they would show the mark an obvious 20 buck winner, and plead for 10 bucks 'cause they needed another drink. The marks were happy to double their money...until next day when they found out they were stuck with an already cashed-out ticket.
  8. A tip I heard on my morning radio...there are some questions about security with the check-in kiosks. The recommendation was to use a frequent flyer card instead of your credit card.
  9. That leaves #8 JAX DE Derrick Harvey and #9 CIN LB Keith Rivers as the holdouts.
  10. Ah, so that's it. See also Gannett's Cincinnati Enquirer site...harder to navigate and noticeably slower.
  11. Felt some aftershocks here in Cincinnati - some bills fell out of my wallet and flew out the window. Same thing happens when a hurricane hits Florida.
  12. Was he closely covered? Did a DB miss an assignment, get blocked, or fall down?
  13. I've never understood these claims of lethal injection causing pain. I've traveled to the vets' to put down two infirm cats in the past few years. While holding them in my arms, the first shot put them into peaceful, painless sleep in 5 minutes. The 2nd stopped their hearts in 30 seconds. Firing squad? Affix a 12 gauge shotgun aimed at the heart, in a jig, with a string to pull the trigger. Instantaneous.
  14. The privately-held NFL gleefully accepts (and extorts) public money for their houses of business. They are not unique there. Reversing Mr. Spock... "The needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many".
  15. I heard about this on the morning radio. What crumbs. The British used to make a distinction between the "deserving" and "undeserving" poor...
  16. I used to visit the Phoenix area auto proving ground facilities in previous employment. The natives liked to point out the dry heat angle. I thought them very courteous, in that they would take my keys and open the driver's door for me. What they were doing was letting some of the hot blast from the passenger cabin release before they hopped in.
  17. Good that you can replace the one tire. And heavy shame on you for letting the vehicle be driven with sidewall damage. You are courting a blowout at speed...
  18. By definition, a mass air flow sensor is in the induction path leading to the intake manifold. The MAF is located downstream of the filter housing. I don't think tugging on the housing would damage the fine wire of the sensor. On my S-10 4 cyl., the housing is on the driver's side, Air goes through it, traverses over the radiator then back to a plenum connected to the sensor.
  19. Whites are minorities on any NFL team. How dare NFL base rosters on ability and performance on the field...do you advocated there be an affirmative action program to insure that whites are proportionally represented, regardless of merit?
  20. The 2K peeled off your hide will help. Just don't resent it.
  21. I share your pity for the many, many NFL millionaires, and even for the early camp cut that walks off with a hundred grand after 20 days of free housing and food. Well - that's show biz!
  22. Good news. Sounds like a LB that will raise a forearm from time to time and deliver a good whack. That's a plus.
