  1. Nice teeth, too. A desirable female asset for chewing tanned hide soft, for gloves and hats, and for cleaning and skiving sinew for stitchery, timber lashing, bow strings, and basketry...
  2. I'm reminded of the poster in the "Opening Ceremonies" thread who observed that anybody with a fetish for little Asian girls must be rockin' and rollin'!
  3. I've little knowledge of laptops, tater. But a thought...could an inadvertent change in a laptop's power-savings settings be a cause? Not much help - but I suppose a thing to check out.
  4. Yep. I realize things are plain vanilla in the pre-season, but TE is a 2nd year player with 9 starts. With a new OC. I appreciate the potential injury angle - but as you say, the starting offense needs the work against competition. They were iffy, to say the least, last season. It's hard to imagine what their showing would have been without the season-long favorable field position afforded by the ST's.
  5. 9 of 15, 117 yards, 1 td, 1 int. He played the 1st quarter - 4 series. I wish the Bills would have had TE on the field more than they did. It's not like they need to find out who their #2 QB will be... I fell asleep at halftime. Watched the rest this morning. Terico/Korny/Jaws were atrocious. Play-by-play was an afterthought. The Favre yakking heated up in the 2nd half. Their most interesting comment was that a player gets a 6% cut of jerseys and trinkets that have his name on it. The camera crew did a good job of sniffing out young, pretty, blonds in the crowd.
  6. My wife mentioned that the pool is deeper than usual, and the lane dividers are improved to reduce turbulence - so new records were expected. Not taking anything away from Phelps - he's phenomenal.
  7. Perhaps you could work in that OTC product, "Beano"?
  8. Those Bud Light commercials featuring "Leon" always made me think of Sanders.
  9. I have photographs of the Wall - not the Berlin Wall - the one that ran the length of the Germanys. And South. The No Man's land - salted, walled with stone and wire...towers, searchlights, manned machine guns. If there is a bunch that will end human life on this planet, it will be the Russians.
  10. Credited with 1 pass defended.. Don't know...was he avoided, did he run over to help out others? Bills were #28 in overall pass defense and #25 in rush D. I can't see giving Whitner or any others on that D a nice pat on the head...
  11. No. The Bills lost the services of a 2nd round rookie, an average LB starter, and a 1st round RB for a few games. A game and a half from their OL five all season...an amazing fact. A couple of games from a starting safety. Most that went on the IR weren't going to wow the league if they didn't get hurt. It irks me when folks refer to the Bills injury list. Other teams were close in numbers, and lost more of their starters. It's being used as a crutch.
  12. Oil is King. Solidifying a Congressional seat by pandering to a small but telling voter bloc trumps that King...evidently. And the Euros don't give a FF unless the oil delivery gets stopped.
  13. I'll reply on SUW.
  14. I'm with ya here!
  15. Having Edwards launch only 5 passes was goofy. "Max" protect him by all means, but he is still a question mark. I wanted to see 20 passes - with the other 1st stringers on the field...the first PS game "usual" conventions should have been tossed into the ditch. The Bills have been near the bottom of the offensive barrel for a while. I know there are 80 players to evaluate - but tuning up a moribund starting offense should be job #1...
  16. I thought the best thing about the Olympics was the Official Candy Bar.
  17. Anybody remember KC's Noland "Super Gnat" Smith? http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SmitNo00.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noland_Smith
  18. 5'11, 190. 3rd on their depth chart - 20 catches last season. http://www.nfl.com/players/devinhester/car...ts?id=HES267217
  19. There have been teams that win none, yet have a successful regular season. As well as the opposite. Clubs have been known to make an effort to win PS games to influence the regular season gate. And there are many clubs that over the 4 games display this or that flaw in strategy - however watered down, or player's performance which spills over into the regular season. Don't dismiss pre-season results out of hand. WAS's 16-play drive at the end of Saturday's game - scrub vs. scrub - was educational.
  20. I haven't attended an NFL game since about 1986. The crowd started asking personal questions.
  21. WAS's 16-play drive to end the 4th wasn't pleasing. Scrubs vs. scrubs, yes. After 8 plays or so getting reamed on the ground, I would have liked to have seen one of ours show some moxie and get a personal foul for a flagrant elbow or some such.
