If memory serves, they cancelled the last day of one of those 3-day thingees - saying that things looked good or some sort of hogwash. That was when the Lynch hit 'n run thing was ongoing. My impression of dropping the last day was so they could clam up.

I saw Wolf Blitzer on CNN yesterday afternoon ask a GOP stratagist, and Clinton attack dog Paul Begala about it. The Republican said how sad for Edwards' wife, and how it further erodes people's opinion of politicians. Begala started a rant... "It's done all over society! Clergy! Edwards didn't start a war! Edwards didn't torture anybody!

I find "Game Center" useful - even if you have the game on TV. The constantly-updated stats and play-by play let one detect developing trends. Constant updates of league scoring. I often drop in on the goings-on of division rivals.

I, as many do, "watch" Bills games on the nfl.com or CBS Sportsline game center coverage. I neglected to check last night - but I looked this morning; it appears that they do cover the pre-season games. I find CBS Sportsline's version to be quicker with the updates than nfl.com's...YMMV. So...if you use the Game Center thingy, check it tonight and see.

CIN did it with their '07 2nd round pick, RB Kenny Irons (he tore up a knee in his first pre-season game). 7/25: Irons was waived-injured. 7/28: He cleared waivers, and was then put on CIN's Reserve/PUP list. 8/04: Waived again, with an injury settlement.
