  1. We'll have to see if you can teach a new dog (Trent Edwards) old tricks...
  2. He's been in the league for 17 years. No doubt differing terminology will have an effect, but I wouldn't think there is an offensive or defensive formation he hasn't seen repeatedly. Crowding the LOS - not a bad strategy against Penny - could be hazardous. As a previous poster mentioned, that could bode well for the NYJ run game.
  3. I don't.
  4. OK...we peck keys at each other. Is that better?
  5. I've read many of your posts, too. You aren't nearly as well-mannered as Dante. Yet we still speak...
  6. I can't say I'm a Paul supporter, Dante, but certainly am all for abiding by the Constitution. I didn't detect in your posts that you can't yet vote. I do find your posts well-worded and thoughtful, and I believe you will be a welcome addition to the electorate.
  7. Long-time member of TSW!
  8. Beats me - but I go back a long time. When I was a lad, I got paid 25 cents for running growlers to polling places. Good money, then.
  9. Could be! In any event - nothing you or I can do. Better to keep up a humorous spirit and sit back and watch things unfold.
  10. Maybe a guarantee that 50% of the formations will be double tight ends?
  11. Maybe things have changed - but Perry and others used to have a reputation as being cheap housing pay-offs to party faithfuls. Regardless, it's Section 8 housing, so uprooting tenants would be difficult, I should think. http://www.ci.buffalo.ny.us/Home/CityServi...ledDevelopments
  12. Well - if the BF goes to the Jets, they might replace some of the incessant NE* games that pollute my TV.
  13. I like the opening ceremonies. But little else...for me they have gone far downhill. Starting with whatever network cooked up that "Up close and personal" schtick, then pro players showing up in response to the Communist bloc's so-called amateurs. Then the advertising onslaught (Snickers - the official candy bar of the Olympics etc.), endorsements and so on. It's like watching a 3 week Global infomercial...
  14. As long as there is no public money involved, no bond issue burdening the citizenry, no sales tax increase - I don't care where a private, profit-making enterprise builds its' place of business.
  15. Fowl offal that used to get hydrolyzed off the bone and added to pet and livestock food, now turned into a big moneymaker.
  16. Perhaps he should consult with Art Schlichter...
  17. Last year's prime time DAL-BUF game was easily one of the most exciting game of the '07 season. I think it has paid dividends...
  18. If they decide to cut their losses and move him, don't they save 12 million bucks when he goes away? Perhaps they need to hire a better professional liar like George Stephanopoulos?
  19. Nicely said. My guess is that KD's '78 Eldo convertible likely has running gear problems, not having been started for several years - lubricated parts frozen in place or below good operating condition, gas tank, brake lines, electrical motor parts, suspension bushings and the like. Since the body, interior etc. is said to be in good shape, I'd work on the mechanicals, and like you, enjoy the classy ride.
  20. One of the frequent Iron Chef judges, Ted Allen, has a new half-hour show. The theme seems to be exploring this or that old saw about foods. I didn't catch the whole thing, but one segment was about beverages that quell the residual hotness of foods - like wing sauce - that contain capsacin (sp?). They said that the capsacin binged to taste buds. A panel of tasters triede various beverages to see which were effective. Carbonated beverages worsened the aftertaste, but milk (the casein protein) bound the capsacin and removed it. Which made me think about blue cheese as a popular addition to a meal of hot wings.
  21. His lifetime stats are similar to Vinnie Testaverde's. I think you are right about Bledsoe being on the fringe of the HOF. I think most fans see both of them as players who always showed up prepared, and played the best that they could.
