  1. ...or hope that another club's starting QB goes out for the season in camp or in a pre-season game - and offer the BF in a trade.
  2. 53 man final roster? I consider the RBs and WRs as you mention, kinda like a pitcher brought up from the minors - nobody really knows his "stuff" for a few games, then reality sets in. We've all seen RBs fill in for injured starters through the years, rattle off some fat averages, yet languish on the bench or on the practice squad for a couple of years.
  3. Not on a wage basis, these days. The days of the civil service" discount are long gone. Pensions, protections from the ups and downs of the economy, the long-standing fact that being incompetent can almost never get you fired -it takes years, remain intact. Something for the proponents of a "national health" scheme to ponder...if and when and to what extent you get treated will depend on the whim of somebody who can't be held accountable for killing you.
  4. Sad for the kid. It happens. The Bills have been one of the more fortunate teams regarding important injuries for the past several years.
  5. Minimum wage increase...a population ga-ga over Chinese goods...ridiculing of American cars...Unions in my State of OH getting a ballot inititative this fall mandating 7 paid sick days for all...reduction in gasoline consuption reducing highway and bridge funds...little children pointing their fingers and saying "bang" getting charged with crimes... To name a few... Stick around. In 30 years, you will either work for the State or starve. Lenin won.
  6. 5 OSU players in the 1st. Hmmm...
  7. When I got to the data, my browser timed out.
  8. He had his house foreclosed (maybe thanks to Congress, taxpayers will fork over some $$$ ). He had his Land Rover repossessed. Now he's back! "NFL suspends released Bengals WR Henry for four games July 31, 2008BSSports.com wire reports NEW YORK -- Wide receiver Chris Henry was suspended by the NFL on Thursday for four games but may play the final 12 games of the regular season for any team that signs him. Henry was released by Cincinnati in April after his fifth arrest. Commissioner Roger Goodell had suspended Henry indefinitely following his latest arrest. The charges against him on that arrest were subsequently dropped. The 25-year-old player, one of a number of Bengals in trouble with the law the past few seasons, then applied for reinstatement."... http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10915248
  9. We need to ask Schrödinger's cat...
  10. You should have contacted my blog... "Dear Crabby - Advice for the Love-worn".
  11. Indeed. See Chad Johnson's recent bout of banging his rattle on his high chair for a trade.
  12. Yes. And an active Bre$$ Favre gets more millions from endorsements than a plain ole' retired Brett Favre. TMQ quipped years ago, that the most dangerous space on Earth was that between Brett Favre and a camera.
  13. An accurately-thrown wrench can do damage. People carry all types of objects with them on a bus. iPods. Cell phones. A 10 pound valise. Whatever. Fling them at high velocity. People who repeatedly stab and then decapitate a person sitting next to them aren't thinking about harsher penalties.
  14. Yes - people realize that. When you are selling a product or a service, you want to show it in the best light. Peters is selling a service to a business that requires a clean bill of health. Why not submit to a physical, removing any doubts? Seems to me that that would only improve Peters' and Parkers' (Peter Parker? - Spidey! ) negotiating position... What the fans think about all this counts, too. The NFL sells itself by garnering emotional attachment from their customers. They often get substantial public funding for their places of business. Nobody goes out and buys Toyota jerseys or tailgates in a Wal-Mart parking lot on Sunday morning.
  15. Yes...they do, in this town. http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...0107/807240306/
  16. 37 passengers, a driver, 50 to 60 stabs. Didn't it occur to at least a couple of people to tackle the SOB, beat him silly then sit on him?
  17. He hasn't looked too good in recent years. I wonder if he suffers from a cancer. Hope not...
  18. His injury status is unknown. If I was in his shoes and holding out for more $$$, I'd sure show up and get examined by the Bill's medical staff to get those concerns settled and out of the way. Puts one in a better negotiating position - he certainly must have his own doctors, and paid them for their opinion and care some time ago...
  19. Uh...ancient term...and an equitable one... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juju
