53 man final roster? I consider the RBs and WRs as you mention, kinda like a pitcher brought up from the minors - nobody really knows his "stuff" for a few games, then reality sets in. We've all seen RBs fill in for injured starters through the years, rattle off some fat averages, yet languish on the bench or on the practice squad for a couple of years.

Why not submit to a physical, removing any doubts? Seems to me that that would only improve Peters' and Parkers' (Peter Parker? - Spidey! ) negotiating position... What the fans think about all this counts, too. The NFL sells itself by garnering emotional attachment from their customers. They often get substantial public funding for their places of business. Nobody goes out and buys Toyota jerseys or tailgates in a Wal-Mart parking lot on Sunday morning.

His injury status is unknown. If I was in his shoes and holding out for more $$$, I'd sure show up and get examined by the Bill's medical staff to get those concerns settled and out of the way.
