  1. Stick around. Federal minimum wage rises 70 cents per hour on Thursday. Piggyback on that the incremental percentage rise in employers' FICA contribution, and the workman's compensation cuts' rise of the increase assessed to the employer. Consumer prices will rise, and faced with increased labor costs, businesses will cut more jobs.
  2. Dunno - I expect a big boss getting over a million bucks a year to find the way to deal with and direct the actions of 53 employees...
  3. Christian Bale news...oh well... http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5ghPLXx...DKw_Wa1ObexQvJw
  4. I agree - this one reminds me of the old movie...Kronos Kronos movie trailer: Kronos was one of the mythological early Titans... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cronus
  5. I saw a lot of Rice, what with Rutgers being in the same conf. as U. of Cincy. Tough, motivated runner. I suspect he'll do well - we'll see.
  6. Kitna's a great guy, with a nice story behind him. Unfortunately, he has small hands.
  7. Be sure to explain to her that she must never think about attending colleges like Notre Dame or Loyola, and if anything happens, tell her to tell the ambulance folks to refuse to go to a hospital named Mercy, or St. Whatever. You want her to be bound by your good parenting, after all...
  8. A lot of work for TE, injury possibiltly be da*ned? JP putting in time holding the bag? Hamdan?
  9. Eh. Let the kids have their fun. Neither this pool or deck are things meant to last through decades AFAIK. Were it me, if the deck heaves up or settles in a year or so, I'd hack at it, shim it, whatever. I wouldn't obsess about it being perfectly square. Everybody into the pool!
  10. No...I mean the buyers who want to reduce weight or pay attention to their nutrition. The market has buyers and sellers.
  11. I'd be surprised if you would need a building permit. But check. Pool accidents are mother's milk to personal injury lawyers - if something happens and you failed to follow all the regulations...codes included...you are dead in the water - so to speak. And your homeowner's insurance will toss you into the ditch.
  12. So...market forces - instead of politicians polishing their knobs resulting in more restrictive government laws? Whatta concept...
  13. Get a blocking fullback.
  14. Wannstedt's teams over his five seasons (2000 - 2004) made the playoffs twice, and he only had 1 credited losing season in '04 when he was canned during that season.
  15. I know who you are and I know what you're doing.
  16. They are the beautiful, generous, loving people, leading us all to a new civility, after all.. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25735046/
  17. I hold an unsubsantiated opinion that some iffy clubs will draft a spiffy RB or WR, because it enthuses the fans and sells tickets and trinkets. CIN and Corey Dillon comes to mind. They certainly took pains to give him a good run blocking, if not pass blocking, OL. They also used to crow about how in one season, they were tough as nails against the run (the opposition didn't bother running because they could pass them silly), the next season they were leaders in pass defense (Stevie Wonder or Grandma Moses could have dinged their run defense for 150 rush yards and 3 tds).
  18. We'll see. The departed DE Justin Smith covered a goodly amount of territory.
  19. Electric motors produce ozone. http://www.naturalnews.com/022481.html Hydrogen combustion produces water vapor. And water vapor is the predominant greenhouse gas (shhh - dirty little secret). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenhouse_gas Our upstanding visionaries seeking office and rule like to talk about electricity and hydrogen. I have a problem with "Great Men" leading the way to the future. History is splattered with "Great Men" who buried their mistakes under the rubble of cities... It's not easy, is it?
  20. A man...a dream...a Batmobile! http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...ONTPAGECAROUSEL
