  1. I'd guess the wipe-out of the B'gals LB corps didn't help him much. IIRC against BUF, they started DE Geathers and 7th round rookie SS Ndukwe at OLB. FWIW, I have a hard time seeing the CIN club doing much better than 8 and 8 - if that. The six dates against PIT, CLE, BAL, contests against DAL, NYG, PHI, WAS, and tilts with JAX and IND...seems a tough row to hoe. FS M. Williams went to MIN, Ocho Dinko question marks, if Rudi Johnson returns to form etc. PSU's Kilmer returns to health, so that should help out their moribund STs. Maybe. The signing of TEN DE Odom should help them. And draftees Rivers and Sims. But that's just speculation...
  2. Rev. Shuttlesworth was a leader in the civil rights struggle in the '60's, and his kindness, valor, courage and pursuit of justice was a gift to all of us. http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...0078/1056/COL02
  3. That 21 passed-defended figure is certainly impressive. It'll be interesting to see how/when they work McK into the line-up. CIN had to put their '07 #1, Leon Hall, into a starting role prematurely - '06's #1 Jonathan Joseph messed up his foot in training camp, and incumbent Delthea O'Neal had another nagging injury that cost him games. For the first several games, the only question about Hall was whether his toast had jam or jelly on it. But he improved notably as time wore on - which seems the norm for most high-pick CBs. I expect much the same for McK.
  4. I'm not inclined to blame the messenger here. Farve's antics are well-known.
  5. I don't get to see many Bills' games, so I try to limit my comments on individual player, and rely on folks here. But aren't those numbers for McGee kinda expected for a CB that plays in a defense that runs one of these Cover 2 flavors a fair amount?
  6. That would get them in trouble with Big Al...carbon footprint.
  7. It must be so. I just saw an Obama ad that said that the Republican Axe plan won't produce any new chips for 7 years.
  8. My date and I enjoyed our charred frankfurters served in split buns Split buns - what a nice touch...
  9. There is an NFL Ax problem. Nancy, Harry, or Arlen need to form a Congressional panel of inquiry...for the sake of the children! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/stor...&id=1634325
  10. Jon Lovitz must be cracking up! http://www.nypost.com/seven/07172007/gossi...six/pagesix.htm
  11. Chivalry, my friend! A Knight Errant would call the NY, PA, and OH state police for reports, to clear the way for this shy lassie...
  12. FWIW, CIN has signed or is close to signing their crop of 5th, 6th, 7th rounders. No doubt most of the 2nd through 4th rounders will soon ink their papers.
  13. I forget when - his 1st, 2nd year with BUF, he was on the hot seat over his kick-offs. Kickers are tough to predict...sometime you cut 'em and they shine elsewhere, sometime you're patient and and it pays off.
  14. As azpuszczaloski mentions a few posts above, is he "officially" retired? But I can certainly see the NFL winking at the tampering rule in this case. Having Favre on the field for another season makes their cash register sing...
  15. Why do people start up a bike, then proceed to do that to a cold engine, washing down gas into the cold cylinders and washing oil out of the piston rings?
  16. Ah...I see. Yet another drive-by agent provocateur visits TBD...
  17. You have a future in a job protected from being canned regardless of ability by civil service law.
  18. I doubt that a generation that brought us "As IF!" , That's SO last week" etc., turned to their entyomology skills to come up with "My Bad". It is what it is ( ), a pop culture phrase. 23 Skidoo...Oh you Kid!...Kilroy Was Here...Gear!...Solid, Man!...it's gone on for centuries and will never end
