  1. He hurt himself while tripping over his own feet...sounds about right. Good guy who had some great games in spots for us, but he can stay on the bench until he finds a new home next year as far as I'm concerned.
  2. Sorry about your Uncle. Gonna be looking your way for tips if we make it out there for the game!
  3. Its always fun to think about travelling to a new away venue, particularly of teams the Bills don't often play. Seattle jumps out as the most interesting on this list by far for me when taking into account other attractions to check out before/after the game. Curious to find out how loud that stadium actually is, followed by some hikes in the amazing national parks out there. I'm sold, pending dates!
  4. Boggles the mind. Truly a “fan” base that deserves absolutely nothing.
  5. Let’s hope so. Tyreek will only have his game breaking speed for so long, Waddle is very good but not great and Mostert is older as well. Let the fish tie up a boatload of the cap to a noodle armed injury prone QB who can’t win big games. Also, the least they could do is overpay him after actively trying to get him killed last year. Yeesh..
  6. I was in Vietnam/Cambodia the year we broke the drought. Even there and pre-Josh it only reinforced that Bills fans are literally everywhere - we grow like mold lol. It blew my mind at the time. And yes, I got up at 4am to watch the Tyrod Taylor Bills lose 10-3 to Jacksonville before heading off to Angkor Wat. Now I live in Philly, and Eagles fans are always coming up to me saying Go Bills or asking about the team. I do think there’s something to the idea that hardened diehard fans of other teams even in Philly often have a soft spot for us, the Mr. Magoo of NFL franchises lol.
  7. Fair point. On the flip side, isn’t the lack of premium resources allocated towards arguably the second or third most important position on the team in itself a display of poor judgement at some point? The NFL is clearly now a passing league and has been for some time, so relying on late round picks or cheap journeyman free agent signings and hoping for a diamond in the rough doesn’t seem particularly wise if that’s the main strategy. Outside of Diggs obviously and Beasley (at least his first couple years) it’s been pretty much a disaster, although let’s at least hope Shakir continues to develop into a decent #3. To be fair to Beane, not sure how much clout McD has in the draft/free agency process but suspect he has quite a bit of influence. If so, it’s probably more than fair to assume he skews towards adding more high level pieces to the defense given our draft/free agency history, so that could also be a huge factor in the overall lack of WR talent brought in in recent years. To sum up it’s probably a combo of at least 2 of the below 3 things- 1. Lack of WR talent evaluation aptitude (Beane) 2. Outsized focus on allocating resources to the D (McD) 3. inability of the OC dujour to develop/utilize receivers effectively
  8. Scary to think about them getting a decent QB and a receiver or two there. They could turn around pretty quick if they hit in the draft this year.
  9. Sorry for you loss - losing dogs is the absolute worst. Welcome to the Mafia Bernard!
  10. Great. Now we'd like to see the hive mind finally put all three phases together in one game!
  11. Screen game comes to life No one more surprised than Vic Except Joe Brady
  12. Only thing that makes me nervous is Beane hasn’t proven to be the best WR talent evaluator. Maybe it’s not all on him and it’s highly possible our carousel of coordinators have been less than stellar in their passing game concepts as well, but outside of grabbing an established talent in Diggs his track record at the position isn’t exactly inspiring
  13. Agree. Problem is we don’t know what it would look like with a whole off-season to install his offense next year. Could be better, could be worse. It’s a big gamble. If he’s truly the right guy, fantastic but don’t just keep him for the sake of continuity, assuming McD is still the boss.
  14. Let’s see how the rest of the year plays out. That said, assuming we don’t get at least to the super bowl, all bets should be off and I’m fine moving on if Beane feels strongly about an offensive minded coach to shake things up. As others have said, the problem a defensive head coach presents is losing offensive coordinators every 2-3 years if they’re any good. Would love to have the next Andy Reid to give Josh stability and let them hire a top d coordinator to handle that side.
  15. Hope so. Hoping he, Kincaid and a rookie or two can step up and we can kick Harty/Sherfield to the curb. Can only assume Gabe is also gone.
  16. A first round WR is obviously a must but beyond that we’ll need at least one quality free agent pass catcher preferably with return ability to replace Harty and/or Sherfield. Also don’t re-sign Gabe for more than 3-4 million per.
  17. Throw 100% of the balls to Kincaid and lombardi here we come!
  18. 100% have seen enough. Switch him out for lenny at this point
  19. Fair point, but if that’s the case his actual offense is an unknown and it’s a big gamble to roll with him into next year.
  20. Lol well rooting for the bills is a big part of it. Consistently spikes the blood pressure! That and and labatts lol
  21. A. It would be an achievement with my current lifestyle to live til 98. B. Holy crap he can stand and still have a conversation C. Legend on and off the field
  22. Probably "zapping" something nice in the microwave.
  23. Not so sure it's "completely" the wrong move to re-sign Floyd given how good he continues to look, but I do agree in principle that the more successful franchises cut bait a season or two too early rather than a season or two too late. Von is a prime example of the risk of paying out big money to an aging star, and now it's having a real impact on our salary cap. Would love Floyd back at the right price for a short contract, but I agree you take more chances with the younger player with potentially longer-term upside if you have to chose one vs. the other.
